As you know already, we are celebrating the Polish Independence Day this week and, in addition to the bonuses and offers we already disclosed, we have prepared several contests for you to participate in.
The first one is the Anniversary Instagram Contest. Participating in it is really simple. Are you celebrating the Polish Independence Day or the end of the Great War? Let us know how – make a photo of you and share it on Instagram until November 13, 2019, with the following hashtags:
You also need to tag the official profile (@armoredwarfare) in your post. The best five submissions will be rewarded as such:
First place: Polandball skin for the PL-01 Tier 10 LT
Second place: Rosomak M1 Wataha Tier 8 Premium AFV
Third place: WWO Wilk Tier 8 Premium TD
Fourth place: T-72M2 Wilk Tier 6 Premium MBT
Fifth place: BWP-1M Puma Tier 4 Premium AFV
The second contest is about earning XP with Polish vehicles. Once again, it’s fairly simple – with a Polish vehicle, earn as much XP per battle as you can in one of three modes – PvP, Global Operations and PvE (Hardcore difficulty only). Make then a screenshot of your result and post it in the dedicated contest channel on our Discord.
The submissions must be posted until November 13, 2019. For each of the three abovementioned modes, three best results will be rewarded as such:
First place: BM Oplot Tier 9 Premium MBT
Second place: T-72 Green Tier 8 Premium MBT
Third place: Type 90 or K1A1 Tier 7 Premium MBT
Please note that the following vehicles that are available in the game are Polish:
BWP-1M Puma
KTO Rosomak
Rosomak M1M
Rosomak M1 “Wataha”
BWP-2000
WPB Anders
WWO Wilk
Wilk XC-8
PL-01
We are looking forward to your submissions for both contests and, as always:
The Open Beta of CityBattle | Virtual Earth will begin the next week. You will be able to join the battle for the world conquer from IDC/Games and Steam.
Do not miss the opportunity of joining us in this great free to play online shooter framed on a alternate reality where complex military robots fight for dominance on Earth. The robots have several abilities, a huge variety of classes and subclasses and teaming then up strategically will be key for winning the battles.
Match Replays (BETA) Did you ever play an awesome match but forgot to record it? Did you ever wonder how your opponent pulled off that crazy move? Enter match replays!
A temporary “Replays” item has been added to the main menu. From here, you’ll be able to see a list of the recordings of the last matches you played. By selecting one of those, you’ll be able to view the full replay of that match.
The UI controls of the replay are still very much placeholder while we work on the proper experience, but we really wanted to put this tool in your hands early.
Main Menu changes We are in the process of changing the design and layout of the menus. The most visible changes at the time are:
Nicer background gradient and lighting
Reworked character customization screen
Characters now have facial animations and are not as cross-eyed as before!
Please note however that this is only the start of our work in this area - expect many more improvements in this area in the coming updates.
Quantum League ladder fixes We’ve found the missing league rank! It was hiding behind a bug 😊. It should now be accessible to the most skilled amongst you.
We’ve also fixed the leaderboards being flooded with players with a zero score. Now players in the board will all have played at least once.
Map rotation We’ve added Overpass to the main map rotation! We’ve seen the data of some of you testing it out and decided it was time to bring it even more under the spotlight. All feedback on how to improve levels is welcome!
Basic pings We’ve added an early version of pings to the game! Currently they are super basic, because we couldn’t agree on how tey should behave within the timeloop. Do they stay until the next cycle? Should they sta until you dismiss them? We don’t know!
If you would like to try it out, pinging the world is currently set with the Middle Mouse as default (rebindable)
Other changes & improvements
Made slides more slidey
EAC integrated into the game client (please report any technical issues you may encouter!)
On November 11, Poland celebrates its 101st anniversary of as an independent nation, forged in blood and fires of the Great War as well as the 1920 victory over Soviet invaders. Poland has always had an interesting and proud military history, never truly giving up during the Second World War and proudly continuing the fight from abroad. Regardless of the circumstances, Polish soldiers have always served with honor and dignity and even today, the Polish Army remains one of the most powerful on the continent.
Like every year, we’ve prepared a nice set of bonuses, gifts and offers for the occasion!
Between November 7 and November 14, 2019, the following bonuses will be available:
30% bonus to Commander Experience income for every battle
30% bonus to Crew Experience income for every battle
You can also pick up a gift on MyLoot for the duration of this event. The gift contains the following items:
Polish Eagle decal
Polandball avatar
3-day temporary version of Marder 2 and Rosomak M1 Wataha
Platinum Loot Crate
We are offering several interesting Polish-themed items on MyLoot, starting with the Strong (Polandball) Skin and the Polish Experimental Camouflage. The Strong skin can be installed on the PL-01 Tier 10 Light Tank, painting it in a nice combination of red and white with a cute Polandball image on top – and let’s face it, who doesn’t love Polandball. Additionally, this skin comes with a Hussar Wings decal as a free bonus.
The Experimental Camouflage is a digital camouflage pattern that appeared on several Polish prototypes during the 2016 MSPO expo in Kielce.
This camouflage can be used for all three environments and also comes with a Polandball decal as a free bonus.
And last but not least, we are offering three Polish vehicles on MyLoot with massive discounts. These include:
Rosomak M1 Wataha
The Rosomak is the current standard wheeled IFV of the Polish military. Originally designed by Patria, it was modified and locally license-produced in Poland. It has already seen combat in Afghanistan and fared quite well. Poland plans to obtain more of these vehicles in the future. The M1 is an upgraded Rosomak for the use in Afghanistan. You can read more about it in our dedicated article.
In Armored Warfare, the Rosomak Wataha is a Tier 8 Premium Armored Fighting Vehicle. Compared to the standard Tier 7 Rosomak, it features improved protection as well as the ability to fire Spike guided missiles. It can serve as an excellent heavy scout, a light AFV interceptor and, if needed, as an effective tank killer thanks to its ATGM launcher. Wataha stands in Polish for “a pack of predators” (in this case, wolves) and this vehicle is a ferocious beast indeed. It comes with a Polish-themed military camouflage, a Polish flag attached to its antenna and special Wataha imagery.
T-72M2 Wilk
The T-72M2 Wilk (Polish for “Wolf”) is one of the results of the Polish attempts from the late 1980s to upgrade its aging fleet of T-72M1 tanks in order to provide an effective counterpart to the western Leopard 2 and Abrams MBTs. The Polish development program resulted in several prototypes built between 1987 and 1990, featuring a more powerful engine, better Fire Control System and a Polish ERAWA explosive reactive armor kit. The Wilk program was concluded in 1990 but the lessons learned from it were used in the construction of the Polish PT-91 Main Battle Tank. You can learn more about its history in our dedicated article!
In Armored Warfare, the T-72M2 Wilk is a Tier 6 Main Battle Tank. It’s based on the T-72M1, which is an export version of the T-72A. That, along with improved mobility and the ERAWA ERA kit, puts it one tier above its predecessor. Performance-wise, it’s comparable to the T-72B Main Battle Tank with its experimental Polish DRAWA FCS and the improved autoloader increasing its performance.
WWO Wilk
The WWO Wilk is the second Polish vehicle of Armored Warfare named after the ferocious pack animal. It is a fire support variant of the Rosomak, replacing the original IFV turret with the Cockerill CT-CV one, armed with a 105mm gun. A prototype of this vehicle was built and tested in 2012. After passing the tests, it was offered to the Polish Armed Forces but failed to catch its attention despite the excellent trial results. You can learn more about its history in our dedicated article!
In Armored Warfare, the WWO Wilk is a Tier 8 Tank Destroyer. A lower tier counterpart to the existing progression vehicle Wilk XC8, its mobility is comparable to other vehicles using the Rosomak platform, while its 105mm gun firepower allows it to compete with such vehicles as the American Stryker.
We hope that you will enjoy the bonuses, gifts and offers and, as always:
When we released Stunt Runner, we also added a bunch of new features to our creative tools. But, whether you’re a creator yourself, of just someone who enjoys experiencing player created rooms, these features introduced some new forms of instability for all of us.
For the past several weeks, we’ve been heads-down smashing all the newly introduced bugs we could find (and you’ve helped us find!), and we’ve also burned through a good amount of our creative community’s top-requested bug fixes. We greatly appreciate your patience and feedback in response to our last couple updates.
Okay, here we go:
Impulse Volumes and Bounce Pads should now use their correct settings when loading a room or cloning an object
You can now configure spawn points so that players keep tools on respawn instead of dropping them
You can now select and change other objects from within trigger zones, without selecting the trigger zone itself
We fixed a movement bug where multiple chained gizmos weren’t behaving as expected – they should move all gizmos and objects together correctly now
You're now immediately prompted with a selection menu when merging new shapes into a costume
Maker Pen objects should no longer collide while being transformed
Moving Maker Pen objects which are parented should no longer put things in incorrect positions
Special role chips (Eliminated, In-Game, and Everyone) can no longer be merged into circuit boards
If these roles are already saved in a circuit board in your room or invention they can still be unpacked
Leaderboard stat chips should now work as expected when circuits are hidden
We now allow more objects to be wired while selected
The piston gizmo, for example, would not always let you attach to an object if the piston was selected
Light bulb collisions should now accurately reflect their mesh
We reworked Audio Samplers to fix bugs and add some much-requested functionality:
Fixed bug where samplers that were set to play on initial room load would sometimes fail
Sampler playback are now synchronized for multiplayer scenarios! This means that a pulse signal sent to sampler input should now result in reliable, synchronized playback for all.
We added two new circuit inputs: Pause and Stop! Pause stops playback when sent a non-zero signal, but can be resumed from its current position with a new play signal. Stop stops playback and seeks back to sampler start.
We also made a bunch of general quality of life fixes:
Team wristbands should show up in team games once again, so you can more easily tell what team you’re on
Players should not get stuck in place anymore once they see the notification for waiting to join a room!
We washed up the screen so on-screen notifications should no longer persist between rooms!
Players should no longer get stuck in place if they hit the mercy rule in Disc Golf
Tooltips should now appear consistently across the app
Should no longer see that pesky pivot in 3D Charades
We fixed the bug where teleporters weren’t getting a teleport cooldown after climbing ladders
Weapons from chests should now have highlight beacons in all game modes
Halloween may be over but the "Crank the Volume" update is back from the dead!:
It's alive! Maker Pen Audio is back!
Turn your volume up and get creating, Maker Pens have been upgraded to have new audio effects!
Also we re-tuned some sound effects in other places too! Keep an ear out!
Haunting you again, it's social upgrades:
Seeing how long you have to hold a button on iOS devices is now visible
Screen mode can relax their hands, auto-pointing has been readjusted
Tired of pushing a physical button to enter the shop? Screen mode players can now point at items to buy them!
iOS devices should also find that scrolling requires less work
Made some adjustments for iOS devices so menus won't get as clogged up
iOS devices also got some fresh looks throughout, they are very fashionable now
Do the wave! Now able to wave while doing a gesture on iOS devices
Made some adjustments to prompts to make sure no one high fives behind your back
No more phantom keyboard sounds when making an expression
Talking with room chat and someone says something funny? Now able to laugh with them while typing
Fixed tossing animation on screens
Room chat gremlins now will only put you in time out if you're messaging too quickly, rather than after every message
Inspect Mode now allows you to do "roll" rotations with two fingers and rotating on iOS devices
Night vision goggles no longer required to see equipment you are holding on iOS devices
Reserved item slots now have a lock icon on iOS devices
No longer hiding your equipment on iOS devices, extra slot has reappeared
Fixed up selfie mode, say cheese!
Other spooky bugs crushed and improvements we made:
Fixed a shortcut in Stunt Runner so no one gets an early start
Fixed performance in ^Paintball.Spillway for Oculus Quest by removing the big scoreboard
Fixed rotation on iOS devices, should be snappy now!
Fixed being able to hit buttons while holding bows
Fixed not being able to drop offhand item on screen mode
RecTV mainenance request:
Something seems to be caught in the ventilation system, can someone please fish it out? It's getting a little stuffy in here.
All right, that’s everything for this update, but stay tuned! This is just the first of two major bug fixing and stability updates focused specifically on creative tools and games. Every day we’re blown away by the things you’re creating in Rec Room, and we want to make an earnest push to stabilize and improve the creative and play experience before we expand and move onto the next set of features and challenges together.
1. The enemy used the "doll" system. The feedback and posture will be more realistic when the enemy dies.
2. Be hurt will no longer lose "vitality", reducing the demand for food.
3. Tactical action will speed up the consumption of "vitality". If the battle is fierce, you need a lot of sliding tackle or tumbling actions (these actions can completely avoid damage), or you need to take some food.
4. Some tips are added to let players better understand the game mechanism.
5. Added the task point prompt that needs to be completed, so that players can better understand the progress of task completion.
