I m willing to bet that 100% of the people reading this have made no impact on medieval society. But now you re thinking about it, aren t you? The idea is settling into your brain, like a pre-medicine parasite bedding down in your grey matter. Don t panic! I didn t incept you for no reason, but instead to get you thinking about what you could make with Kingdom Come: Deliverance‘s just-released mod tools. The Bohemian landscape, its people, and its intrigue are now yours to manipulate, with a surprisingly large modding package from developers Warhorse Studios.
If you’ve played Oxenfree you probably already know a little of what to expect from Afterparty: a smart, walking–and–talking adventure game where optional speech bubbles appear above the characters’ heads; naturalistic dialogue between characters whose relationships grow in complexity as the game goes on; some weird supernatural stuff.
Afterparty does all these things, but Night School Studio’s second outing also feels stronger and punchier — and not just because it’s set in hell, so everyone says rude words a lot.
As BlizzCon approaches, like a dark storm cloud full of cosplay, earnest fan questions, and rumour stomping announcements, there s at least one thing we know that’s guaran-damn-teed. Warcraft III: Reforged s beta will finally be starting this week in the lead-up to the convention, bringing the newly remade RTS to the two thousand and nineteens. Waves of keys will soon be going out very soon to those who pre-ordered the game.
Intel’s best gaming CPU just got even better. Launching today (October 30th), the Intel Core i9-9900KS is primed to deliver a massive 5.0GHz all-core turbo speed straight out of the box. It’s going to cost you, though, as this special edition CPU has a recommended retail price of $513.

I m sceptical of big, commercially-endorsed mental health initiatives with names like The Insight Project , which Hellblade developers Ninja Theory announced yesterday. This research program will see them collaborate with Paul Fletcher, a psychiatrist and professor of health neuroscience at the University of Cambridge, to study (and hopefully implement) ways videogames can help people with their mental health issues. Sure enough, their announcement video is largely jargon-laden PR soup that glosses over how this idea is not a new one, and makes the project seem more exciting and useful than it will probably ever be.
I also still think there’s a good chance they’re on to something, and further reading around their website is more encouraging.

The Outer Worlds gives you a great many tools to help you stay alive in the treacherous and dangerous regions of Halcyon and all the planets you’ll hop between throughout your journey. Having decent armor equipped is definitely one of the most important things to consider and it’s not as simple as it first seems. Not only does equipping armor give you damage reduction against oncoming attacks, but different types of armor give you different boosts or debuffs to certain skills or attributes.

The Outer Worlds does a pretty bang-up job with its arsenal of weapons, giving you a great deal of scope for choice and customisation – but it’s all at the cost of complexity. Each weapon has many more associated stats than we’re used to seeing in most games of its ilk, not factoring in weapon type buffs, damage types, special effects, mods, and anything else that may affect your time with that gun.

What’s a holiday to The Outer Worlds without Companions to share the journey with? Obsidian’s latest open-world(s) RPG is very reminiscent of games such as Mass Effect, providing you with six different Companions to bring aboard your ship, the Unreliable, and help you in the quests and battles you face. They also have their own problems that need solving to build up trust in you, though you can’t romance them.
HDR on PC hasn’t improved much in 2019. Despite there being more HDR gaming monitors than ever before, the very [cms-block]s for HDR continue to be quite expensive compared to non-HDR monitors, and the situation around Windows 10 support for it is still a bit of a mess. However, provided you’re willing to fight through all that, then the next step on your path to high dynamic range glory is to get an HDR compatible graphics card.
Below, you’ll find a complete list of all the Nvidia and AMD graphics cards that have built-in support for HDR, as well as everything you need to know about getting one that also supports Nvidia and AMD’s own HDR standards, G-Sync Ultimate and FreeSync 2. I’ve also put together a list of all the PC games that support HDR as well, so you know exactly which PC games you can start playing in high dynamic range.
It’s a name I’d come up with in a list of extremely generic titles for a joke. What were they thinking?
Fantasy Wars is both about as generic as it sounds, and… that’s okay?
