After a post last week on reddit where a user asked if you could customize weapons the same way you could customize the ship, I decided to pull away from my original idea of having a pre-made list of weapons for the player to install on their ship and, instead, provide a weapon customization system.
I didn't want it to be over complicated so I distilled it down to some core aspects of weapons.
Ammo type, sub type, number of bullets, rate of fire, and damage.
You can also set what direction the weapon is mounted so it may shoot in that direction along with the weapon's color (yet to be hooked up)
It's shaping up to be a pretty fun system. Check out the video in the new reddit post here:
Burnables and breakables are live on the main branch. Woo! This includes the new Bridge level as well as a bunch of fixes. The progress of making all the game objects breakable and burnable is ongoing so expect stuff that isn’t breakable yet to get there eventually. We’ve also altered the player on fire state.
We’ve also retuned the Havocado form, Backhoe, and Jetskis since they were feeling a bit weird after the PhysX upgrade. Feedback on those most welcome.

New Stuff
New Suspension Bridge Level (burnable and destroyable, naatch)
Lots more objects converted to flammable/breakable
Wharf, Docks, Beach, Turkeyshark level all converted to be more breakable and flammable
Added Flamethrower Objects
Reworked Flare Gun to catch stuff on fire
Fire propagation matrix
Standing in water or spraying objects with water particles extinguishes them
Player On Fire state
Added a Slope Assist force so the player won’t fell sluggish running up ramps and inclines.
Testing different shader for environments
Added SSAO post processing
Visual tweaks to lots of levels
Testing some color changes and improvements
Shipping containers now breakable with openable doors
Tuning Changes
Tuned turkeyshark up a bit so he should chase people around more
Player main rigid capsule size reduced to help with get-up explosions and general stability (may cause players to fall through cracks more)
Retuned Tank, Backhoe, Jetskis, and Drones - physX upgrade messed up all the tunings so they had to be redone. Tried to make them faster/more brutal
Rotation lock doesn’t engage when grabbed on to heavy things to prevent physics explosions. May have some unintended consequences - keeping an eye out.
Bug Fixes
FINALLY fixed grab angle of melee weapons! :D
Fixed ‘yeet’ player explosion bug aka “Taffy Mode”
Fixed Transition textures not displaying properly
Fixed issue where laser wouldn’t knock people out
Fixed issue where getting a mushroom after bunny ears copied the player
After our destroyer trailer, that deals with the Devil and Hell, we wanted to also give you perspective from the other side of the conflict- Angels/Heaven.
Take a look at our brand new trailer and let us know your thoughts:
How do you think will Desmonds fate end? Will he become the ultimate savior or destroyer?
"My mission is of Enemy Populace Reduction." – Ocram Adraan
The Censure Host continues their deadly purge of sorcerers. With ammunition and bodies starting to run low on both sides, hand to hand combat becomes inevitable and bloody.
Finish the fight on Prospero! Featuring a new exclusive warlord, Sergeant Ocram Adraan of the Sons of Horus, tasked by the Warmaster to assist Russ and to secretly take psyker prisoners.
The peppers from Mercury are Loaht's favorites. He uses them to cook his famous "Wimpy Stomach Destroyer Soup", a broth so spicy that in certain amounts it becomes unstable. In fact, containers of this soup are used as ammo for his Red Hot Explosive Pepper. On impact, the containers burst into a spicy explosion that erodes the skin of anyone it splashes... except for Loaht. As ridiculous as it sounds, the soup heals his wounds.
This weapon is now available on Spacelords. Check it out!
