Hey there you guys and gals, Time for some info with the huge scheduled update that will include 6 new warriors, bonus stages, a enemy revamp, and a second projectile addition. While the bonus round bit, and the enemy revamp will take some time to put together I have already designed the look of the 6 Warrior Furry Pack, and they kick wild feathers...We got Murdok the Magician, Wallo the Bear, Pink Bird, Beak Man, Super Scoobers, and Prince Whiskers. They will have their own moves projectiles and such. I hope all this will help keep Urizen fresh, and in reality it was an unnecessary but very cool addition to the lineup. Anyhow I will try to bring out the update before Christmas...keep your fingers crossed.
Anyhow, keep cool. See you all later... John P. Red Moon Studio
The synthesizers are an all new expedition activity designed to get battles started in the corners of the archipelago. A single synthesizer on the archipelago will activate at a time and after a 15 minute countdown the nearest ship within 100 meters of the deadly fan blades will receive a random resource reward on top of a small amount of a new resource: synthest. For more info about the synthesizers check the in-expedition objective menu or the new quest "Synthesizer Steel".
Armor plating is a new category of parts available after completing the quest "Synthesizer Steel". They provide a quick and painless way of adding a second layer of armor to the most commonly targeted locations of your ship. Armor plates keep a similar hp/surface area ratio as hull but sport a slightly higher damage reduction and 50% reduced mass/surface area ratio. Armor plates should serve as a minor durability reward for ships built with spare mass or already utilizing double layered hull plates. Armor plates require synthest to use so get out onto the archipelago and unlock those synthesizers!
The ships of the Project 68K class are a group of Soviet light cruisers initially laid down before WWII, but were later completed during the early Cold War. Soon, Soviet captains in War Thunder will have the chance to take command of Chapayev - the lead ship of the class - after its arrival to the game with the upcoming update 1.91 “Night Vision”!
In War Thunder, the Chapayev will become available to all captains at rank IV of the Soviet naval tree. Sporting excellent firepower for a light cruiser, combined with good mobility, a sizeable crew complement and decent protection, the Chapayev will provide captains and fans of Soviet naval vessels in War Thunder with a highly versatile ‘jack of all trades, master of none’ type of warship.
Despite sharing some visual similarities with the Kirov-class, the Chapayev is quite distinctly different from its predecessor. For starters, unlike the Kirov, Chapayev was roughly built around the terms dictated by the Second London Naval Treaty. As such, the Chapayev didn’t receive 180mm guns, but was instead fitted with four triple 152mm main guns, more befitting of a light cruiser design. This also makes the Chapayev the first Soviet cruiser in War Thunder to be equipped with 152mm guns.
Another week, another bug fix update! A big thank you to all the testers for their continued diligence and bug reports - this wouldn't be possible with you!
This update mostly focuses on bug fixes, but also has some PC-specific UI improvements to streamline the UI in a few places. In parallel, I'm also working on an New Game+ mode which adds some additional difficulty levels to unlock.
IMPROVEMENTS - (PC only) Added mouse-over tooltips for tiles on the board - (PC only) Interaction improvements for Treasure, Perk, and Draft screen (no more select and OK - now, just click) - (PC only) ESC key should work on PC for exiting backing out of most screens / bringing up Settings - The basic Harpy (Punk) shows a warning icon while in the middle row, warning the player - Can now view passives on the perk selection screen
BALANCE - CHAMPION:(Shuffle 3x Flex into deck) will no longer show up for Greybeard - LONGBOW: Damage 3->4
BUGS - CHARGE: Fixed a bug where this could target stealthed enemies - CROSSBOW / LONGBOW: Should now 'behave like a weapon' with other items like Battleworn Gauntlets and abilities like Dual Wield - MAGE ROBE: Block value now only increases if the item is in your inventory - POET: This now properly affects enemy ability with a visible '1' cost - PLATE ARMOR: Cost now longer increases due to 'debuff' tiles like Stupidity - Fixed an issue where 'activated' tiles (like health potion) could be used at no cost while on the 'replace tile' screen - Fixed a cosmetic issue where tapping an active tile in the Mint Box treasure screen would cause it to stop pulsing - Fixed a cosmetic issue where using Dual Wield would show the gold cost of the item in the inventory - Equipping abilities that require a weapon (eg: Slash) will now properly dismiss if the weapon is dismissed - Fixed an issue where if you discarded a tile and then tapped a tile quickly, the 'acquire tile' button may be crossed out, even if you now have enough gold - Fixed an issue that would prevent completion of the tutorial in some cases - Fixed a bug where active 'once per battle' abilities like Hamstring, Deflect or Retaliate would be 'consumed' if you attacked while active
I have version 5.5 up, which has a few minor fixes, and also a couple new script commands that will be needed for the Panama DLC. I still have to test Panama a little more and then the Beta will be on itch.io tomorrow. Also, I'll try to fix the sound file format that has caused crashes on some computers.
List of fixes:
SOURCE CODE: -Added new script boolean, "if_objNearLOS", which is the same as "if_objNear" but also tests for line of sight. -Added new script command, "task", which makes a sentient object play a task animation one time.
SCRIPTS: -Added "task=attack" to many voodoo abilities so they make a motion before blasting a Chilling Orb, etc. -Fixed drop scripts for keys, so they lie down instead of stand up. -Fixed YScale problem with "makeGrass" script (for world editor).
We wanted to provide you with an update on the progress we're making getting our game release-ready because we know we've been radio silent for a few months now.
We're hard at work getting the game ready for release, but we've hit a few bumps along the road. Most of our team finished college recently, and we've had to make the transition from working in a shared space to working remotely. Frankly, that transition has taken a large toll on our team and has slowed our progress in improving the game.
We're currently revising our tutorial system and player onboarding fairly extensively. We want to make sure every player who tries our game gets the best out of our flight systems and exhibiting at E3 showed us some pain points in that learning process for new players. As a result, we're rebuilding much of our tutorial system from scratch because while we were present to help players at E3, once we go live on Steam - unfortunately we don't come with the download to help you out.
That said, we are also looking to release some short stories for our characters in the very near future, so look out for those!
Long story short, we're pushing our release back to "Sometime in 2019." We're not exactly sure how long these changes will take but we're determined to make sure that when you step into our game for the first time you have the best experience possible, and we're hard at work to make that reality.
