Teamfight Tactics has had its latest weekly update. It’s now up to patch 9.17 and there’s been a bit of action on healing and nerfing Nobles. But it also saw the introduction of Pantheon – a Dragon/Guardian who has really shaken things up lately. Aside from the healing changes, items didn’t have a big change in the latest patch, but everything is dramatically different than when TFT launched into beta. Since there have been so many changes, be sure to check out our guides to see what’s changed.

Blair Witch, a movie about a man standing quietly in a corner, has been given the horror game treatment. The first-person spook em up is out today, and it’s about you and a dog becoming victims of found-footage scariness. But let s be real, the videogame industry s hunger for bygone horror franchises will not be sated by one former cop and his dog. No. Luckily, we at the RPS treehouse know that there are many more horror movies which could be dipped in the gametank and covered in terrorjuice, ready for thumb-wobbling and jump scares. Here are some we d like to see.

Night in the Woods - contact@rockpapershotgun.com (Alice O'Connor)

Two of Night In The Woods‘s creators have announced they are “cutting ties with” Alec Holowka, the third co-creator, following allegations of abusive behaviour and sexual assault made against him this week. “We take such allegations seriously as a team,” Scott Benson and Bethany Hockenberry said in Wednesday’s statement. They have now cancelled one unknown “current project” and are postponing NITW’s planned physical release.

We saw some changes to some champions in Teamfight Tactics in the 9.17 patch. Several champions have seen some drastic changes, most notably the Nobles being given a much-needed nerf, and perhaps the rise of the Shapeshifters? There is also a brand new Dragon/Guardian who has divebombed into the battlefield and caused all sorts of chaos. We’ve got the lowdown on all the updates to the TFT tier list in patch 9.17.

Destiny 2 - contact@rockpapershotgun.com (Alice O'Connor)

‘Seasons’ in Destiny 2 have so far meant whamming in new things for keepsies, building the game up with new modes and quests and things. Future seasons, Bungie now say, will be more ephemeral but perhaps more striking. As Bungie wind up to relaunch the MMOFPS with a free-to-play ‘New Light’ base edition on October 1st, they’ve opened up about how seasonal modes will come and go and the game world might change more in response. They’re also adding a battle pass dealio to season passes, the sort of long-term unlock track for items that’s de rigeur in battle royale games. Lots to explain.

Stukas in ill-fitting Roc costumes, Sturmtigers with I am a Stone Giant painted on their sides, Wirbelwinds in long blonde wigs, talking pidgin Elvish… there was a slight danger Fantasy General II was going to end up inheriting more DNA from its publisher’s back catalogue than the 1996 classic I eulogised in May. Having roamed Aer aggressively and quizzically for the past two days, I’m relieved to report that FG2 definitely isn’t Panzer Corps in drag. All evidence points to it being a likeable sequel – a likeable sequel that combines reverence for its predecessor with a welcome willingness to add extra RPG trappings where extra RPG trappings are needed. The 127-cell honeycomb below is a fancy form of wordsearch in which every cell is used, and words can curl and zigzag but never overlap. Each hive foxer has a theme (some previous ones: roses, landmines, The 39 Steps, and Doom). Identifying this theme is a vital part of the defoxing process. Today s puzzle is made up of 17 answers. It’s Labor Day weekend for our US friends, so I thought I’d liven things up a bit with a more work-appropriate header for this week’s best PC gaming deals and this was literally the first thing that came up in the ‘working’ category on the Old Book Illustrations website so there you go. Far from having lots of stinky pee deals this week, though, your trusted deals herald has selected the absolute cream of the deals crop for this week’s round-up, including games and hardware alike. So let’s put those clicker fingers to work. It’s time to spin the PC gaming deals wheel.

While on the surface there weren’t many changes to the items in Teamfight Tactics, there was one thing altered drastically what changes how several TFT items work. While the changes aren’t as sweeping as what will be coming soon, healing has now been nerfed across the board, so therefore we’ve updated the cheat sheets accordingly. (more…)

As it turns out, there are some surprises when exploring Appalachia, even 25 years after being annihilated by nuclear bombs. Sometimes you ll come across a creature you thought was only a myth, but turns out to be an alien from another galaxy. Or maybe you ll uncover a cult that worships a local legend. What you might not expect to find is a group of vault dwellers standing around admiring a bunch of art installations, gazing thoughtfully at each other s avant-garde use of Fallout 76 s base-building system. This is “1x1x76”, the first art exhibition created in Bethesda’s multiplayer wasteland.
