The 127-cell honeycomb below is a fancy form of wordsearch in which every cell is used, and words can curl and zigzag but never overlap. Each hive foxer has a theme (some previous ones: roses, landmines, The 39 Steps, and Doom). Identifying this theme is a vital part of the defoxing process. Today s puzzle is made up of 17 answers. It’s Labor Day weekend for our US friends, so I thought I’d liven things up a bit with a more work-appropriate header for this week’s best PC gaming deals and this was literally the first thing that came up in the ‘working’ category on the Old Book Illustrations website so there you go. Far from having lots of stinky pee deals this week, though, your trusted deals herald has selected the absolute cream of the deals crop for this week’s round-up, including games and hardware alike. So let’s put those clicker fingers to work. It’s time to spin the PC gaming deals wheel.

While on the surface there weren’t many changes to the items in Teamfight Tactics, there was one thing altered drastically what changes how several TFT items work. While the changes aren’t as sweeping as what will be coming soon, healing has now been nerfed across the board, so therefore we’ve updated the cheat sheets accordingly. (more…)

As it turns out, there are some surprises when exploring Appalachia, even 25 years after being annihilated by nuclear bombs. Sometimes you ll come across a creature you thought was only a myth, but turns out to be an alien from another galaxy. Or maybe you ll uncover a cult that worships a local legend. What you might not expect to find is a group of vault dwellers standing around admiring a bunch of art installations, gazing thoughtfully at each other s avant-garde use of Fallout 76 s base-building system. This is “1x1x76”, the first art exhibition created in Bethesda’s multiplayer wasteland.

Normally when a big patch drops for Teamfight Tactics, it’s a bit of a pain to sort through and work out exactly what has changed and how it affects the game, with a massive list of changes to champions and items. The TFT 9.17 patch notes dropped a few days ago and I’ll be honest, it’s not as bad. A new Dragon/Guardian champion in addition to changes to several traits and how healing works for most healing sources is about as bad as it gets.

Wilmot's Warehouse - contact@rockpapershotgun.com (Matt Cox)

Welcome to Wilmot’s Warehouse, where boxes come in and meaning fizzles out. Or at least dissolves into puddles of tenuously-related nonsense. It’s a puzzle game about storing and delivering objects – lots of them, under time pressure. It came out yesterday, and should appeal to anyone who’s ever been secretly pleased when vast quantities of different-coloured beads have scattered across the living room. Or got a buzz from placing cutlery in the right receptacle.

I’ve played for ten minutes and already have a pile I’m referring to as “circles I don’t understand”. I think most people will like this, to be honest. Especially after seeing Pip’s evident delight in the trailer.

Previously on Hounded Out: I have brought food, and have made peace with the townies. But after spending the night in the cursed place, my precious dog, Goat, has been taken to Hell.>

I’d never been to Hell. It seems obvious, right?

I never go to hell because of course> I don’t. Why would I want to? Spare me your “endgame” nonsense. My endgame is mapping the sea. It’s leaping from a mountain into a natural lake. It’s a purely decorative mine. It’s saving my goddamn dog>.

The Council - contact@rockpapershotgun.com (Katharine Castle)

The Council could have been a detective game for the ages. It tells the tale of a secret society made of world famous leaders such as Napoleon Bonaparte and George Washington who have taken it upon themselves to decide the fate of the world. Your character happens upon this meeting because you’re looking for your mother, a fictional but nonetheless equally important character on this eighteenth century world stage, who’s also been invited to take part in this elaborate game of real-life Risk. It’s a mix of history and mythology-themed puzzles with branching dialogue like the kind you’ll find in a Telltale game. But then it does something very silly in the middle of episode four and it all ends up being a terrible disappointment.

DiRT Rally - contact@rockpapershotgun.com (Alice O'Connor)

You love cars? You love mud? Your twin desires combine in Dirt Rally, the 2015 Codemasters race ’em up which is currently free for keepsies on the Humble Store. They launched their ‘End Of Summer Sale’ today and are slinging keys around (Steam, not car) to tempt you into taking a look. Codies did launch Dirt Rally 2 earlier this year but that one’s 45, while this is free. Go on, get in. I won’t tell your grandma you love muddy cars more than her.

PlanetSide Arena - contact@rockpapershotgun.com (Alice O'Connor)

The spaceman ‘n’ vehicle murderfest of MMOFPS PlanetSide will soon be condensed for PlanetSide Arena, with developers Daybreak Game Company today announcing an early access launch on September 19th. The PlanetSide spin-off will have folks shooting each other to bits while romping around on foot, in vehicles, and dangling precariously from jetpacks, just in a big battle royale rather than persistent faction wars. At launch Arena will support 300-player matches in modes with squads of three soldiers or teams of twelve, then is due to grow larger.
