HOW DID YOU DISCOVER CONQUEROR’S BLADE AND WHAT MOTIVATED YOU TO START THE GAME?

Since June 2018 I’d been thinking about jumping into this game with a band of friends that all like medieval games. It was quite normal to start playing Conqueror’s Blade - we’ve been doing it since the CBT.

WHY DID YOU CREATE A HOUSE?

I decided to create House Redemption in order to motivate a group of faithful players that have been banding together from MMO to MMO. We want to see how far we can make it and how we will conquer.

WHAT MAKES REDEMPTION DEFERENT?

To sum it up, its organization and rigidity. We’re not recruiting en masse; we are looking for experienced warlords. Joining Redemption means making some sacrifices to become better and to win. 

WHAT’S THE SECRET OF YOUR SUCCESS SO FAR?

The various CBTs made us stronger and allowed us to work the different winning metas. We’re not playing to be gorgeous but to be efficient. Our players know this and they are working toward this goal.

WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO ACCOMPLISH AS A HOUSE? 

We’re settled and we are here to last. We grow thanks to our amazing players each day. Redemption has to keep its profile as a House that will not fall.

WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE CLASS AND WHY? 

Without a doubt: the Poleaxe! It’s destructive in the right hands and one of the most balanced classes in the game; even though I started the CBT playing the Dual Blade class.

WHAT KIND OF ACTIVITIES DOES REDEMPTION PARTICIPATE IN? 

Territory Wars and capturing fiefs - that’s all that motivates us.

WHO ARE YOUR MOST TRUSTED WARLORDS? 

My officers and counsellors - I know that they’ll always give their best to lift all our players and make Redemption the best.

ARE THERE HOUSES THAT YOU ADMIRE?

There are Houses that are quite amazing like ODT, Unit, LCDC, LBR, Legion, Salutaris, Falcata, Unity. They’ve been here since the start and they keep proving themselves.

SIMILARLY, DO YOU HAVE ANY MORTAL ENEMIES?

We don’t want a huge amount of land and, if we attack, it’s just to defend our resources. We’re not going to participate in random raids.

Using real-life for inspiration and examples Fluxtrance creates this realistic tropical foliage. By using different trees and adding color it turns into a vivid paradise. It does take a while to learn but this video will help you get a good start on your island making adventure!

Today we released patch v.0.5.3 which includes the first iteration of Mod-support. We’ve been testing Mod-support for a few weeks on the experimental branch, so there’s already a few Community made mods in the Steam Workshop for you to try!

Here’s two very cool community made mods created by Digger1213 and Thinzy:

Aether Tech

This mod adds a new part and block themed around the Aether. How it works... that’s best explained by the creator himself:

“Adds the Aether Ripper, a machine capable of tearing holes in the aether itself using large amounts of steam from a boiler. Aetherium plates are pulled towards these tears, allowing for unique machine and weapon design!” – Digger1213.

This mod includes a small arcade-alike mini-game for you to play with. Although this mod is somewhat advanced, it’s quite easy to set up: Simply connect a lever to the grey input, press down and you’re playing! As a small bonus, Thinzy added two different outputs allowing you to chose what should happen if the player either loses or wins the game. Here’s Thinzy's own idea of a punishment for losing:

Hello, Metal Gladiators

A new patch has been released today, bringing some bug fixes to the game.

Bug Fixes
  • Fixed a bug in the pick screen, while the chat window is open, where the keys W, A, S, D were moving the pilot and model selection when pressed.
  • Fixed a bug on the spectator mode, where the camera was moving to the center of the arena after a bomb score.
  • All texts referring to the Gamepad are now standardized.

Long story short: we have officially released while True: learn() on iOS! There's now one more way to start wrapping your head around machine learning. Get creative! Do it on public transport! Do it on the toilet! Do it while waiting in a line! Make everyone around you wonder what's this handsomely looking game is all about! Spread the word

(Or you know, just hide under a blankie and solve all those delicious puzzles by yourself if you happen to be a loner)

Let us know what you think! Are you going to check the game out on your phone/tablet? Would you maybe prefer Android? Or even Nintendo Switch?

In the meantime, desktop version has been updated as well. Nothing mindblowing this time, but we've fixed some bugs! Especially that one in tutorial levels, when you weren't able to make a second test run because outputs were all clogged by that data from the previous test run... Anyway, it's not there anymore!

World War 3 - Captain Price

PTE 0.7 is scheduled for today. The team is encountering some delays, but it's still going live today. Stay tuned for updates!

--- Update is now live! ---

Finally! We’ve got a 0.7 build that is stable enough and without critical issues, so we can start testing it. Bear in mind, that this is just after switching engine versions and rewriting how our netcode works (more information here), so expect it to crash a lot and to have bugs. The list of known issues is going to be shortened very soon, we’ve just added it so you don’t waste time on reporting bugs we’re already fixing.

We’ve got a lot of work to do to get 0.7 to a state that is playable enough to push to Live servers, so everyone that can should help us test this version, especially over the weekend. We’re going to gather a lot of data and we will also be playing to make sure all big issues are fixed next week and only smaller problems are left to iron out.

Thanks for being patient, but this change was the biggest one since 0.3, and we want to make absolutely sure that it will be at least as stable as 0.6, and preferably more.

Engine update doesn’t come with a lot of content, but it will let us improve the game a lot more in the long run.

Now, as for what is in the update, we’re adding daily challenges! It’s still a bit rough, but that’s why we have PTE. You can complete challenges every day and get rewards for them.

There’s also new lighting. It’s a lot more realistic and eye adaptation works properly now, but it might need tweaking. Let us know how you like it and what we should change.

We’ve also added new VOIP system, because the old one was not good enough. This is also something we need as much feedback on as possible.

As usual, send us your crash reports and make sure to leave your feedback on the forums, so we can get to it easily and plan changes accordingly.

PTE 0.7 Patch Notes

KNOWN ISSUES
  • Packs (Ammo/Health/Equipment) randomly don’t spawn when tossed
  • UAVs mark dead enemies
  • Markers show up late sometimes
  • Players drop copies of their weapon at random
  • Taking leader by requesting orders is not working
  • Grenades spawn to the left of the camera
  • It takes a second to load the weapon into player hands
  • Crashing and performance issues
  • No Berlin TDM or Warzone for now (map issues)

FEATURES
  • Daily Challenges added - this is still an early version!
  • New VOIP system [Default: hold “~” (tilde - next to 1)]

IMPROVEMENTS
  • Changed FPS counter to ON/OFF from Toggle (it will also persist between play sessions

  • Added location debug info on screen for better bug reporting (community suggestion)
  • Added Vehicle Kill Assist (community suggestion)
  • New Equipment meshes for UGVs
  • Added smoke for damaged vehicles, now every vehicle except Mini UGV and Mini Drone will smoke when HP is critical
  • A lot of adjustments and improvements

BALANCE
  • Increased Heli Drone Rockets Battlepoints cost
  • Decreased Heli Drone HP (600 to 450) - now it’s 1 tandem RPG hit
  • Decreased Heli Drone rocket PODs' ammo capacity
  • Vehicles speed, acceleration, turning and HP rebalance - now the differences between vehicles are more noticeable
  • Attachment prices have been adjusted to better fit the progression system
  • Attachment modifiers have been reworked to better reflect differences between individual attachments
  • Weight difference between barrels of different lengths has been increased
  • Weight difference between magazines of different capacity has been increased
  • Additional changes coming soon, including a horizontal recoil multiplier on grips
  • Moved resupply packs to between capture points

BUGFIXES
  • Fixed shooting between rounds on TDM,
  • Fixed rebinding X button
  • Fixed default ammo for all turrets - there should not be a situation where tank has only 1 shell
  • Fixed direction prioritization when exiting a vehicle
  • Hundreds of other bugfixes
