Hello dear gamers!

Anticorps VR got patch today. Let's take a look at the details of the fixes:

- Set menus more far/up of the hands to increase the comfort of use
- Hand's now use relative position tracking (correcting angles for oculus useurs).
- Increase the number of workers provided by a house: 8 to 9
- Increase the amount of stone produced by deposit: 10 to 15
- Some correction of the behavior of NPCs.
- Some tweak for increase fps on end game.

Hey,

This is the final snapshot of the 0.2.7 update. The full 0.2.7 official release is scheduled for tomorrow.

Working on this all snapshots was very exciting and I learned a lot. Now I will make few days break and then I will begin working on 0.2.8 update :)

Changelog:
  • Added: Tutorial
  • Added: Naming buildings
    Now you can name every building as you want. Feature requested by one of the players.

  • Added: Hangars existing sense
    Now the hangars are actually storing your rockets. Every hangar can store up to 3 rockets.

  • Added: Flying numbers
    It's just a better visualization of money income/outcome etc.

  • Added: Game version control
    Now you can't play the save files from older versions of EarthX. This caused a lot of bugs and it will be not supported in Early Access. This game develops rapidly ;)

  • Added: One secret easter egg
  • Improved: Working with offices
    Now you can decide, which type of contracts the office should look for.

  • Improved: Paying taxes
    In older versions of EarthX, if you got 10M$ of income and 5M$ of the outcome, you would still pay 13% of that 10M$ income. Now you pay 13% of (income -
    outcome), in this case, 5M$.

  • Improved: Game balance
    Few experiments with explosions and employees pay.

  • Improved: Increased the character limit on every input field.
  • Improved: Main menu home look
  • Fixed: Truth mode loading didn't work properly.
  • Fixed: The resolution in the settings tab was always the lowest.
  • Fixed: You couldn't get into the build mode if any window was open
  • Fixed: You couldn't pause the game if any window was open
  • Fixed: If you paused the game, it would unpause if you closed any window
  • Fixed: Employees pay was always 0$
  • Fixed: Buildings rent was always 0$



How to download this (and other) snapshots?
Go to your library and click with the right mouse button on EarthX on the list. After that go to the properties and select "BETAS", and then "snapshots" from the dropdown list.

You will probably need to restart your steam after that in order to begin downloading snapshots versions.

Snapshots are available only for Windows in the English language.

A Hat in Time - Meow
Usually we wait a bit before pushing an update, however our community has been desperate to have playable character mods working again - so here's a quick update to resolve that issue!

General
  • Updated Spanish localization

Modding
  • Fixed certain playable character mods not working due to a missing function. This function has been added back!
  • Hat_Collectible now has its "Sync for Online Party" variable exposed to the editor

● A bug with Fast Travel wells has been fixed.
●Skeleton Knights no longer have to weapons constrained to their pivot point.
● A bug with the Inventory not saving equipped weapon info on Game Load has been fixed.
● The “Frozen” and “Stunned” conditions have been fixed on the Player, stopping his movement from taking over when stacking multiple conditions.
● A Swimming Animation bug has been fixed, which was caused by the new animation system.
● The Jump Attack sound now stops when hitting water.

Alrighty, well most of the stuff is covered in this weeks vlog. And I’m not going into the whole “card-rendering” problem I mentioned :D It was a silly solution I had, and it’s now a much better one, let’s keep it at that! One thing is that I might actually do another big update to the system, and pre-render the card graphics into a card-texture.. that way I can also rotate the cards around an angle.. something I can’t do now, because the card is build out of various elements including text, which will all look messy if I rotate and position each element by itself.

On the topic of drawing! spending time drawing a bunch of new environments also gave me a better feel for the looks I’m going after. I noticed that 50’s-70’s style sci-fi is mostly: shiny, colorful, and round.. for some weird reason. So I started putting more rounded corners on my walls and also tried some uncomfortably brightly colored surroundings. Not really my usual style, but the end result does work. So we now have bright orange floors, neon green walls.. it all makes the game have a certain look and feel that I was after.

I might go in and re-do the first area’s graphics, which were mostly a base to build upon anyway!

With game-progression slowly showing it’s face in the current build of the game, there’s all sorts of things to start thinking about. How does the player progress? how does the player get new cards in his deck? are these cards permanent unlocks? or just for the current game? How many new cards do you get? how many cards do I need to add?!

A lot of stuff that I haven’t really figured out or thought about before this point, as I was simply testing the whole card-battle stuff in combination with the classic Space Grunts turn-based action. But now that I’m fairly confident it all works, it’s time to put some thinking into all the details!
