DarkTriad is one of the largest and most well-established houses on the Europe East server. We spoke with its founder and leader TheKeeper from their stronghold in Maoyang.
WHEN DID YOU FIRST HEAR ABOUT CONQUEROR'S BLADE?
We first heard about the game last summer. We needed something new and exciting after Total War: Arena was shut down. We chose Conqueror's Blade!
WHY DID YOU DECIDE TO FOUND A HOUSE?
We had a core team of about fifteen Total War: Arena players, who took part in every CBT stage. We started with the ordinary "Why don't we give it a fun run?", and eventually gathered a great community of players. Today we have both seasoned veterans and newbies, who joined us during the CBT and OBT.
WHAT SETS DARKTRIAD APART FROM OTHER HOUSES?
One of our House rules: everyone can have fun their own way. Do you want your own raid? Go ahead! Do you want to gather a group? Whatever floats your boat. Do the right thing and no one can stop you. Members of the House belong to different age groups, and yet we support free communication, trying to stay together on the same page.
WHO ARE YOUR MOST TRUSTED ASSOCIATES AND WHAT POSITION DO THEY OCCUPY?
Phobos, SocialistHippie, Merder, Chidori, and Eclipse - we've been together since the old times. They still play a role in House development. There are some new active House members, too. They are Danek, PRAV, CaCao, and SithLord.
ARE THERE ANY HOUSES THAT YOU ADMIRE OR SEE AS COMPETITION?
To paraphrase Henry Palmerston, "The DarkTriad has no eternal allies, and we have no perpetual enemies. Our interests are eternal and perpetual, and those interests it is our duty to follow."

The secret ship in the game has been found by 1 player but unfortunately it has caused a game breaking problem that leaves said player unable to play their copy of the game.
I have already made an update to fix the issue but as promised i don't want to update without giving players notice as saved runs will be incompatible and thus lost.
so here is 24 (maybe a few 3-4 later) hours notice; tomorrow i will upload the fix.
My apologies for any lost progress in advance but as a player is unable to play i feel this warrants an urgent fix.
Last week, we worked on getting things ready for the Gamescom and the BETA. So, it happened to be a mix between folding flyers and implementing new stuff.
Know your enemy
Talking about new stuff, here's the "Shield" enemy. We needed an enemy with low speed and immuned to basic spell, but that can still be knockback.
Here are the researches done to find the right look of that new enemy. Game design-wise, we felt like the snail like enemy was the best pick for that "Shield" enemy we needed in Nanotale.
Game Evolution
Something I like to do is to take screenshots of the same place each time we take a big step in development. Here's the evolution of a specific scene from the level design "blockout" version to the decorated one (without lighting yet).
Prologue
Having something named prologue at the end of that recap... isn't it funny?
The prologue in Nanotale is a specific part of the forest where you learn how to move and interact with the environment. It's also where the story begins.
We needed that part to be different from the core of the Ancestral Forest. Here are the new pine trees created for the prologue.

As for Black Screen and Abnormal Display Issues, still working on solving them completely. If any update, will post an announcement.
