Below is brief roadmap what I have scheduled from now until the Final Release.
As of now, I'm now in Phase 2, where I working on adding additional levels and content to the game (as well as providing support for any crucial bugs).
Feel free to follow me on twitter, if you want to keep track of my progression!
Achievement Fixes. We noticed in the statistics of 2 achievements too low indicators. We checked and it turned out that 2 achievements had bugs and players could not get them. In this update, these achievements now work.
Planaris 2+ has just launched on Steam for Windows!
Planaris 2+ is an enhanced version of the browser/mobile game, Planaris 2... It's a game where you place polyomino shapes on a grid to match lines. Planaris 2+ has many improvements over Planaris 2 such as new levels, steam leader-boards, and steam cloud saves.
It is $5.99 USD with a 25% discount for the first week.
Version 1.1 of the game, which is already in development (and almost ready to go!), will include controller support... I'll be doing a public beta test of that soon, so keep your eyes peeled for that! The beta should be starting in the next week or two -- with the update planned for late July/Early August, depending on how things go...
Feel free to post any feedback, reviews, bug reports, feature suggestions, etc on the community message boards, and I'll do my best to stay on top of them -- I am a solo indie developer, but I'm determined to make this game as good as possible and I'd love to hear what you think of my game!
I've been making games for the past 5 years (I know, I can't believe it either) I really want to improve the quality of my productions, but there is only so much I can do with my current budget. That's why I'm asking your help! I know it's not everyone who enjoys my games, it's not even everyone who likes me, that's totally understandable, but I'm asking for everyone who laugh at my games, who enjoys watching people play my games, imagine my games with a big production budget, the same type of humor you love (Or love to hate) but with actual special effects, higher camera quality, better editing, better props! Everything is possible.
I've dropped college to focus on Bmc Studio, because I believe in me.. I believe in us.
Together we can show the world what a crazy man with a weird dream can do!
Nothing is going to stop me, us. :MiniTheDogBmcStudio:
I wanted to show the dungeons in the game. Dungeons are randomly generated floor by floor. The game makes a path from the entrance all the way to the top of the building where there is a mini boss.
Hereās what the algorithm spits out for a dungeon before a function in the code goes through and creates world objects for each piece. The arrows indicate the path the player can follow to the top.
An āeā indicates that an area is a room with enemies to fight.
A left or right arrow means there will be a room with a puzzle that you have to solve to move on.
The up arrow means that there is a room to get to the next floor.
0's have random stuff in them, there might be something that can help with puzzles or give bonuses or they can just be empty.
Of course the top floor contains a mini boss. Each mini boss has completely random abilities. He could have an electric shock ability or be able to quickly charge into you if you don't jump out of the way
If you want to see me playing the game, follow me on Twitch where I'll do runs from time to time. As embarrassing as this sounds, I actually haven't been able to beat the game in it's current form, so I'll be trying lots of different strategies on stream to figure out what works best. (I hope to have the stream on the game's Store page on Steam too, but I haven't gotten it working great so far). >> My Twitch! <<
Green Army Men Beach Party today, the latest DLC for the award-winning and critically acclaimed first-person shooter. Available now on Steam, players can look forward to taking part in the gritty and strategic 64-player matches Rising Storm 2: Vietnam is famous for with a twist in this brand-new DLC, filled with all the army-green plastic this summer can handle.
To celebrate the release of the new update Tripwire is kicking off a Free Week and sale on Steam that starts later today and runs until 10AM PDT on Tuesday July 16th ā Donāt miss this opportunity to play for free and pick up the game at a low price!
After the success of the Christmas Green Army Men seasonal event, Tripwire Interactive, Antimatter Games, and the Green Army Men Mod team agreed to make the Green Army Men mod easily available to all Rising Storm 2: Vietnam players. The result is Rising Storm 2: Vietnam ā Green Army Men Beach Party, a DLC add-on, completely complied and easily activated from within the main game.
Rising Storm 2: Vietnam players will beat the heat in this figurine beach bash with vehicles, supporting artillery, mortars, and rockets all turned into toys. The Green Army Men Beach Party DLC also removes fall damage, in order to create a more realistic experience, and includes multiple classes with over 12 weapons. Players can keep it cool on four maps: Beach Party, Backyard, Pool Party, and the returning Green Army Men Christmas map! Fight through sandcastles, building blocks, baseball bats, barbeques and more, all while avoiding getting melted by the enemy team.
All Rising Storm 2: Vietnam players can play Green Army Men Beach Party for free as the Rifleman class. If players want to unlock more classes and support the development team, there is the option to buy the Green Army Men Upgrade, which unlocks all the other classes for Rising Storm 2: Vietnam ā Green Army Men Beach Party.
As a way to support the modding community and grassroots game development that helped Tripwire Interactiveās founding members get their start in the industry, all revenue from the Green Army Men Upgrade purchases is shared with the Green Army Men mod team to support their valuable efforts and accomplishment, building high-quality content in their spare time.
You can now rename your mobile and battlestation fleets.
You can now pause all construction on individual mobile fleets (pausing construction for specific ship lines is coming, along with other goodies).
You can see a lot more info about fleet status from the fleet tooltips, and in the fleet management screen those line items ALSO have tooltips that explain them even further.
There are two new hacks, which allow for you to take over Global Command Augmenters (GCAs -- those newthings that give you more turrets or other defenses at all your command stations if you capture and hold them) and Intra-Galactic Coordinators (IGCs -- those things that add a multiplier to your ship caps for strikecraft or turrets if you capture and hold them) without having to capture and hold the planet. But it costs you a lot in hacking points, so now you have an interesting decision to make.
There are also a bunch of new options relating to permadeath for certain categories of structures, and you can either make things more-permadeathy or less-permadeathy depending on your tastes.
A number of tips and strategies have been updated in-game to make the gameplay more clear now that GCAs are a thing and battlestations are less of a thing.
Reprisal wave balance has been nerfed again.
Golems and Arks now cost AIP to capture, and have larger fleets in general. Let us know how much more powerful we might need to make them in general, if we do, to justify their costs.
You start out with 2 million metal rather than 540k, so that you never get metal starved at the very start of the game. That was just a silly way to start.
There's a new starting fleet option, the Consumer Fleet, which is all about eating your enemies in various ways.
The metal flows interface now updates in realtime and also shows data in a more readable format.
We fixed a whole host of bugs, too.
More to come soon. Enjoy!
Problem With The Latest Build?
If you right-click the game in Steam and choose properties, then go to the Betas tab of the window that pops up, you'll see a variety of options. You can always choose most_recent_stable from that build to get what is essentially one-build-back. Or two builds back if the last build had a known problem, etc. Essentially it's a way to keep yourself off the very bleeding edge of updates, if you so desire.
The Usual Reminders
Quick reminder of our new Steam Developer Page. If you follow us there, you'll be notified about any game releases we do.
Also: Would you mind leaving a Steam review for some/any of our games? It doesn't have to be much more detailed than a thumbs up, but if you like a game we made and want more people to find it, that's how you make it happen. Reviews make a material difference, and like most indies, we could really use the support.
Hello! DunkRatz is coming out in 10 short days, but if you are in the area and want to see the game before it launches, the team will be demo-ing the game at the Southern Fried Gaming Expo in Atlanta, GA from July 12-14.
