Neotrie VR Multiplayer - VirtualDor

Here are the new tools, improvements, and new features that will be implemented in the forthcoming version of Neotrie VR. We have also included some tricks and instructions for teachers to prepare activities and lessons plans to be opened quickly in the classroom.

We warn that the multiplayer mode will not be active temporarily, due to recent updates in the Unity platform, but we could not wait to offer the advantages that this new version brings.

New loading menu
Figures, pictures, objects, sounds, etc. can be loaded directly in the scene with a new windows menu (available formats .neot, .stl, .obj, .jpg, waw, .config, see more details below).




New importing Obj files
OBJ and STL are the most extended formats for 3D objects. Almost all known softwares have this format implemented. In this version, you will be able to import OBJ/STL files from the load and save menu, as well as from the new windows menu. Once in the scene, we can take them with your hands paint and rescale all its parts and save them in your Neot file, for improving your lessons and activities.



New importing pictures
One can insert pictures (JPG format) on the scene from the new windows menu. These pictures can be taken, and enlarged as other objects.


New changing 360º backgrounds
Are you ready to have your geometric constructions in any place of the world? One can change the background of the scene with any desired 360 picture (JPG format). Open it from your folder “environments 360” and move it inside the ball of 360º picture. Now take the ball and approach it to your head. See this video: https://youtu.be/YFDVUSCISQc



One can use the copy tool to have several 360 balls, with distinct environments.


Can use Street View download 360 to download pictures from Google Earth, for instance.

Music
Combine geometry and music, by touching the music balls with your hands (or free drawing, objects, balls of the shuttle, etc.). Make any object sound with any chosen waw file. Use the authomatic sliders to move vertices, edges or faces that can touch musical objects to get melodies and rhythms.



New multiview projections
Multiview planes are now available with applications to engineering drawing.



New bisector tool
Touch three vertices A, B, C to get a point P that bisects the edges AB and AC. This can be useful for instance to find the incenter and the incircle of a triangle. In the next version, it will work touching two edges.


New selector tool
This new tool can hide a list of vertices and edges (touch menu button when taking the tool).


It can be also used to rotate a selection of vertices, for instance to make a cube from a net.

New loci pencil
This is the black pencil on the table. This draws the trace of a vertex when it moves. Ready to make plenty of curves?


New slider tool
This new tool allows to automatically move a point passing through a set of vertices.


This can be used to make plenty of known curves, like for example the conics. We will incluse soon a video here.



New boxes
New boxes are now available with top lids, both are editable, scalable, coloreable. Ask your pupils classify polhyedra or set of figures by types, transport them on the scene.


New shuttle
Shuttles are entering the game with interesting didactical applications. Both the shuttles and the balls are scalable and paintable. They interact with objects. The larger the gun, the larger the balls.




New video-camera
Video-camera has been implemented with a button to start and stop recording inside the scene.

Protractor tool improved
The protractor tool gives the dihedral angle between two faces. While maintained the trigger button pressed, touch over one plane and then over another.


Magnet tool improved
This tool allows users to join tiles by two of their edges. It also joins two 3D figures by two of their faces, or also two pair of edges, as shows the video:


Copy tool improved
The copy tool can now copy STL, OBJ objects, free drawings and pictures, and also the tools you see over the table! Use the copy tool to copy the 5 platonic solids of our logo, enlarge, and colour them.




Load your set of tools everywhere you like
Open the hand manu, and pass your hand over picture with a little compass, to hide all the tools. Touch it again to open the tools at your current place in the scene.





Saving system improved
Neot files keep information of all the elements available in a scene of Neotrie VR: vertices, edges, faces (and their colors), STL, OBJ, JPG, waw, etc.
It also keeps the last position of the player when saving the file.

You can edit this files with any text edit, and update old files to this new version as follows. Now, these have the property of being universal, valid for all users. For example, the following lines shows how a figure of type STL is saved in the neot file: position, rotation, scaling, route of the file, and colour of the figure.

Therefore, you must change the route of any STL file from an old neot file, for example,

New autosave option
In the windows menu, look at the folder 000_Autosaves to access to automatic copies of your scene, every 5 minutes.

Faster loading from keyboard
This option is useful for lessons, to repeat the same activity with different students. To facilitate this, a faster loading of .neot files has been implemented by using the keys F+0, F+1, …., F+9, L to load file0.neot, file1.neot, file2.neot,... respectively from your NeotrieSaves folder. These names of files can be changed in a config file, as shown below.


New config files
Choose the tools that you want to see on the scene, indicating TRUE or FALSE in the file.config. You must have this file in the folder
Documents>Neotrie>Config

This can be edited as a text file. Take care to save it as file.config (and not as file.config.txt). This file can be loaded from the new loading menu. You can have as many config files as you like, naming differently, and maintaining the extension .config. , Pressing the key C to load the default file.config.

One can automatically upload a config file executing a neot scene, including the following line in the neot file:

ConfigFileRoute = [documents]\\Neotrie\\Config\\file.config

You can have different config files for every activity o set of activities.
For instance one can rename the files to load automatically with the keyboard by fixing the route of the name in the config file:
FILE0= namefile0
FILE1= namefile1
FILE2= namefile2
...
FILE9= namefile9

Further changes
  • Size of vertices can be changed in the main menu, as well as relative local scale.
  • Edges size can be change in the main menu, and they can also be drawn by touching a vertice and maintaining pressed until the second vertice.
  • Faces can be drawn by the mode “triangle” and touching the vertices, maintaining pressed.

The first patch for Warhammer: Chaosbane is now live for PC. Notable inclusions are a new gear rarity (time to start hunting those Greens), Invasion Mode and the squashing of some bugs related to bugged progression or lost characters.

Enemies
  • Fixed some issues on big creatures that can be attracted or repulsed and those that should not.
  • Leaders: fixed a bug that allowed Auras to stack.
  • Banners: reduced hit points and fixed a bug that allowed Auras to stack. Now daemons can only benefit from one banner at a time.
  • Bloodthirster: Increased Basic Damage
  • Reduced the natural life regeneration of Nurgle's daemons.
  • Great Unclean: damage rebalanced.
  • Daemonette: removal of bleed effect on skipped attacks.
  • Seekers: Reduced damage and basic health.
  • Keeper of Secrets: increased damage, basic hit points, attack strike zone, reduced the trance aura's slow effect, reduced projectile pattern durations, and added the addition of a knockback to these.
  • Lord of Change: Reduced damage and basic hit points, reduced damage and hit points for Pink Horrors summoned by portals.
  • Rebalanced difficulty and statistics of enemies based on the number of players in the same part.

Characters
Empire Soldier
  • Reduced damage to melee characters from 20% to 10%.
  • Increased damage depending on riposte damage on some skills.
  • Fixed a bug that allowed auras and banners to stack between multiple players.
  • Increased the knock back effect of the skill Break through the Ranks.
  • Increased god skill duration.
  • Increased Vengeance Blade bonus duration.
  • Increased Meteor Shield damage aura.
  • Exchanged improved skills between the Solland Destiny and Metallic Iron Armor sets to better match builds.
  • Reduced cool-down, increased damage, and decreased the duration of the Improved Empire's Justice skill slowdown.
  • Heroic set changes to the Skaven's Slayer's Armor: The Shield Strike now creates a wave that repels, and the set no longer improves the banners. The improved Blunderbuss skill touches a larger area and does more damage.
  • Heroic Meteoritic Iron Armor set deals more damage to the zone counter when the player is hit and has a new effect that inflicts a lot of damage depending on Thorn damage to the first enemy hit by each attack. The bonus duration of the improved skill Provocation is increased.

High-Elf Mage
  • Reduced damage to Arcane Hail.
  • Increased Qhaysh Breakage Damage
  • Fixed a bug that allowed some bonuses to stack between multiple players.
  • Increased the duration of Aetheric Pillar.
  • Reduced knock back distance and increased damage from the Blade Energy Wave of Instability.
  • Reduced damage to the aura of the Hérault stick Phoenix.
  • Increased damage from the Crystal of Focus Blast.

Slayer
  • Reduced damage to melee characters from 20% to 10%.
  • Reduced Rage bonus duration.
  • Fixed a bug that allowed shouting bonuses to stack between multiple players.
  • Reduced damage penalty for Ultimate Carnage.
  • Increased Marks of Last Song Damage Bonus. Increased damage and increased skill size for Cleaver.

Wood Elf Scout
  • Fixed a bug that prevented the Ambush Specialist from increasing the maximum number of traps.
  • The traps from the Living Roots skill are now persistent.
  • Controlled Reflex Shooting no longer repels but provokes enemies.
  • Reduced deployment time for Hungry Roots.
  • Fixed a bug that allowed some bonuses to stack between multiple players.
  • Reduced conversion percentage from life regeneration to Executor dagger damage.
  • Increased the Poison Damage bonus of the Eternal Queen's Dette set, increased the size, and reduced aura damage.
  • Reduced damage and speed for the improved version of Tournament Blades.
  • Increased the damage bonus of the Armor of Eternity set.
  • Reduced the collision size of the Dryads, increased armor and health.

Items
  • Increased damage stats, critical strike damage, riposte damage, and maximum energy, on all items.
  • Reduced critical hit chance, reduced cost, reduced cooldowns, and armor strike on all items.
  • Reduced statistics for damage blocked by shields.
  • Increased bonuses on heroic items.
  • Rebalanced the appearance of certain statistics on items.
  • Added stats to some items: energy costs reduced on chest armor, damage bonus on gloves.
  • Increased bonuses on rings and amulets.
  • Reduction to armor-piercing statistics on amulets.
  • Rebalanced bonuses related to tapping items.
  • Rebalanced in-game currencies (fragments and gold) and XP gains
  • Rebalanced the odds of finding better items and reworking the bonus statistic formula regarding luck of finding better items.

Code of Conduct

The Black Squad Team reserves the right to apply sanctions to cases not defined in this list when necessary.


Communication
When participating in communication, you are responsible for how you express yourself. You may not use language that could be offensive or vulgar to others, whether it is provoked or unprovoked.

Hate speech and discriminatory language, such as xenophobic, racist, and sexist speech is inappropriate, as is any obscene or disruptive language.

Threatening or harassing another player is always unacceptable, regardless of the nature of the language used, tone and repetitiveness of the threats or harassment.

Violating any of these expectations will result in a temporary account ban. More serious and repeated violations will result in greater punishments and may result in a permanent ban of your account.

Naming
Any name the player has the ability to customize — such as Name Tags, or Clan Name — must be appropriate and inoffensive. Any name that violates our standards or disrupts the community will be changed automatically without warning.

It is prohibited to use names that can be used to impersonate a member of the staff, including "GM" "CM" "Mod" and any variation of terms related to the management or staff of the game. Any nickname found or reported containing these terms will be renamed without prior notice.

Cheating
You are responsible for how you and your account are represented in the game. Cheating in any fashion will result in immediate action. Using third-party programs to automate any facet of the game, exploiting bugs, or engaging in any activity that grants an unfair advantage is considered cheating and could lead to a lifetime ban of the account and/or your PC.

Any form of promotion of cheats is considered an offense and will be punished accordingly. According to NS Studio and NeoBricks' decision, hack promotion could also lead to a lifetime ban of the involved accounts.

Exploiting other players is an equally serious offense. Account sharing or selling, win-trading, and anything else that creates an unfair gaming experience for other players will receive harsh penalties such as an account reset or ban. This will be applied to players as well as to clans.

Please note that if your clan is caught cheating in any way, for example using hacks or boosting, your clan may lose all XP, rank points, and become ineligible for all further rewards from events.

In all cases in which an experience deduction is due as part of a punishment, the Medics' criteria will be used based on each particular case.

Behavior
Behavior that intentionally detracts from others' enjoyment such as: AFK, teaming in solo/duo competitive, leaving games in competitive, supporting the enemy, etc. is unacceptable. Excessive occasions will result in a permanent ban of your account.

Discrimination, Racism, Sexism will not be tolerated, excessive behavior will result in a permanent ban of your account.

Acceptable behavior is determined by player reports and the Medics’ decision, and violating these guidelines will result in account restrictions.

Staff
The Medics are the designated staff to enforce this Code of Conduct and Punishment Policy. Any threat, insult, harassment, name shaming, or any other form of attack towards the Medics, or any other Black Squad staff, is forbidden and will lead to penalties according to each case.

If you encounter players violating any of the rules above described, we encourage you to send us a report containing proof such as screenshots or videos here: http://support.blacksquad.com; so we can act against violators as soon as possible.

Highlights: Rituals to cast, Prisoners to capture, Reworked Capital art, New choices to make!

  • Features:
    • Added 'Rituals', a style of out-of-combat magic that allows you to manipulate the world
    • Can now attempt to capture defeated enemies, in order to hold them prisoner in the Mage's Tower
      • In the PostBattle screen for battles you've won, a new 'Capture' button has been added.
