Siralim 3 - Thylacine Studios
Yesterday, I announced that Siralim 3 is coming to Nintendo Switch but it wouldn't support cross-platform cloud saving. I am pleased to say that it WILL have this feature after all, so you can share your save files with any device! I hope to bring it to Xbox/PS4 in the future too.

Himeko Sutori - Nameless3W

Units now have a zone of control on the battle map and the world map. The hexes surrounding an enemy are in the zone of control, and you cannot move from one hex to another within the zone of control. I think this will make flanking the enemy more difficult, and you'll have to plan your movement in battles more carefully. Also, it might force you into battles on the world map more often.

I would love to hear what you think about this new feature. Like it? Dislike it? Why?

Thank you everyone for helping Himeko Sutori take shape!

Hey all! It has been some time since the upcoming content has been announced and I'd like to give you all an update on what's happening.

The Piracy mechanic is almost finished, right now all I need to do with it is add some more dialogue related to it and make sure that the balancing is not off. Like mentioned in "What's next? #6" this gameplay mechanic will add more difficulty to the late game side of things, and will be barely felt when just starting out with a low reputation level.

Aside from that there is also a HUD remake in the works. This is a big one since it's going to make navigating the HUD itself a lot more intuitive. Let's be honest, the current HUD is not exactly pretty nor intuitive. So with the HUD remake this will be fixed.

This update will soon be available on the 'develop' branch, and I'll make another "Progress update" post to let you know when it goes live. Your feedback will be appreciated regarding the new Piracy mechanic, as well as any bugs you find with the new stuff!

Thanks for reading!

Road to Guangdong - Road Trip Car Driving Simulator Story-Based Indie Title (公路旅行驾驶游戏) - James Clements

Hello all,

It's hard to believe that there's just four days to go until the launch of Road to Guangdong! We are so close to being able to open the floodgates and to let you all get your hands on the wheel!

Before we get to today's development update, make sure to add Road to Guangdong to your Steam wishlist if you're yet to do so!

https://store.steampowered.com/app/995840/Road_to_Guangdong__Road_Trip_Car_Driving_Simulator_StoryBased_Indie_Game/

Bringing Guangdong to Life

To craft a believable story and game, it's vital to make the world feel alive, full of people going about their day to day business. Guangdong shouldn't revolve entirely around Sunny and Guu Ma, but be a living, breathing area.

Every detail, from lighting, to various vehicles, plumes of smoke emitting from exhausts, to the way characters speak, to the way characters dress - all of these details matter and need to be considered when crafting an engaging game.

We hope that you all love playing the game as much as we've loved making it!

Road to Guangdong launches in Early Access on 6 June.

Thanks,
The Road to Guangdong Team

Hi everyone,

This week I've been putting in a lot of hours in the new roadmap. I hope to introduce it next week. I promise you, you won't be disappointed. Tons of new cool things to show!

The new citymap

We've been facing some problems making the new citymap suit all resolutions. Right now I'm waiting for Bruno to get back to me with some new assets. Once received the city-map should be all ready.

Missing transations!

I've uploaded a bunch of new Beta 24 strings for translation. Together with the city-map, this is the last thing we need before Beta 24 can be released.

If you want to help out, we have missing translations for the following languages: Brazilian Portuguese, Hungarian, Japanese, Korean, Simplified and Chinese.

We're also looking for language moderators. If you're 18+ years old and believe you have good grammar, please let me know, either here on Steam or in Discord :-)

Beta 25: AdBlockers

Adblockers will be introduced which will directly affect how many impressions is generated (and be monetized) for all ad features.

Small websites will have a very low ad-blocker penetration as they haven’t yet been discovered by many ad-blocker programs.

As the website gets more users, the more ad-blocker programs will register the site and start blocking ads.

AdBlock Obfuscator

The obfuscator will cover up your ads in messy Javascript code that makes it much harder for the AdBlockers to detect your ads.

If you don’t continue upgrading the obfuscator, it will be less efficient over time (as AdBlockers become smarter).

The obfuscator is also the first time we see Research Points being used to upgrade a feature.

All the notes that are listed above are simply a preview of what's coming up in Startup Company. These new changes and items are not yet available in the public build of the game.

Do you have suggestions or ideas for the game? Check out our Conflux board.

That's it for this week!

Best,
Jonas
