Surprise! Another Titan Quest expansion has launched out of nowhere, whipping clickheads away to the lost land of Atlantis. It is surprising but quite pleasant to see the solid action-RPG still getting love after thirteen years. I hear Atlantis is not a bit short but hey, it’s more of a deece game.

Monster Hunter: World - contact@rockpapershotgun.com (Alice O'Connor)

Encouraging LARPing, Capcom have announced that Monster Hunter: World‘s icy Iceborne expansion won’t arrive on PC until we’re already wrapped up in scarves and mittens, coming our way this winter after a console debut in September. Yes, it is unfortunate that our version is still lagging behind, but isn’t it fitting to be exploring an icy island while huddling around your PC for warmth? That’s more IMMERSIVE than any light-up keyboard. Capcom blasted a load of details and videos about the expansion last night, including a look at a beastie swimming through snow with its horn poking out like a shark’s fin. Nope!

Monster Hunter: World - contact@rockpapershotgun.com (Dave Irwin)

With the brand new Witcher update finally hitting PC this week, there was more news on exactly what to expect from Monster Hunter World: Iceborne. Hunters will be crossing the sea to the new region known as Hoarfrost Reach, where despite the cold forest being a seemingly inhabitable tundra on the surface, it’s teeming with life. We’ll go over all of what has been revealed and what to expect in the coming expansion.

In order to prepare for the new expansion that will be coming at some point, check out our extensive [cms-block] to get up to speed with the basics, as well as all the more in-depth strategies for item crafting and individual monster fights. While the free updates are still happening for the base game, we should probably begin with the hottest news and show everything we know about .

Heaven's Vault - contact@rockpapershotgun.com (Matt Cox)

“Do the rivers unite us, or do they divide us?” I’ve translated my way through a good chunk of Heaven’s Vault, and I keep coming back to that question. I found the relevant statement on an urn, I think, amidst some ruins on the bank of a celestial river. My grasp on the ancient language has lent me confidence about every word, except the most pivotal. It’s all a bit profound, innit?

If that’s the kind of question YOU want to be plagued by on a nice Sunday in the bath, you should (probably) check out the freshly released free demo.

Yakuza Kiwami 2 - contact@rockpapershotgun.com (Brendan Caldwell)

The first thing you do in Yakuza Kiwami 2 is walk through a graveyard. As caring dad hero, Kiryu, you re visiting the resting place of those who died at the end of the previous game. It s a sombre moment, a cemetery visit with your adoptive daughter to pay respects to loved ones killed in terrible circumstances. You bow your head and inspect the graves.

Then a bunch of mobsters with guns show up and you kick them all in the belly. Hiiii-YAH.

Crash Bandicoot™ N. Sane Trilogy - contact@rockpapershotgun.com (Dave Irwin)

Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy is one of many cases where I’ve seen the internet lose their collective marbles. From the review that compared it to Dark Souls, to the complaints about the High Road, this much-anticipated re-imagining of the original Crash Bandicoot games became less of a celebration of what came before, and more of a battleground where people would rant about those two subjects ad nauseam.

GRIP: Combat Racing - contact@rockpapershotgun.com (Dominic Tarason)

Grip: Combat Racing was, for better or worse, little more than a remake of old PSX racer Rollcage. Developers Caged Element had crafted a nicer-looking if familiar game, retaining that same twitchy, aggressive mix of wall-riding racing, shooting rivals off the track while trying to maintain control during spins and crashes. Today, it’s a bit more than that. Today’s free update adds fifteen new “AirBlade” hover-vehicles with notably different handling, two new tracks plus some new music and skins. This is building on last month’s update adding four more tracks and new team play-modes. See the update trailer below.

Stellaris - contact@rockpapershotgun.com (Dominic Tarason)

Stellaris, the sprawling and much-expanded 4X space strategy game by Paradox, is free to try out from now until Sunday, May 12th. If you like it, you can snap it up for cheap. The game has now been out for three years, and while it may have been considered a little bare-bones at launch, a trio of major expansions (and some smaller DLC) plus some huge free patches have turned it into a 4X favourite. As well as managing a sprawling space empire, it has a bit of personality to it, with major and minor story arcs cropping up in the vein of Crusader Kings. See the anniversary trailer below.

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon® Wildlands - contact@rockpapershotgun.com (Dominic Tarason)

A fictional Pacific archipelago, a mega-corporation and an army of killbot-assisted high-tech mercs. Ghost Recon Breakpoint, announced today and out on October 4th, looks largely like we expected from Ubisoft’s leak last night. A sequel to sandbox shooter Ghost Recon Wildlands, trading the ethically sketchy ‘US covert ops fighting the drug war’ setting for a more videogamey near-future scenario. As with its predecessor, it’s a co-op focused game playable solo or with up to three buddies, optional PvP, and even plans for a post-release raid on a villain’s volcano lair. See the debut trailer and a quarter-hour of action below.
