Claptrap voice actor David Eddings is not returning to voice the irritating robot in Borderlands 3, and the reasons behind this have become a point of public contention/disagreement/agitation between Eddings and Gearbox Software CEO Randy Pitchford on Twitter. That’s how private business dealings go these days. Eddings spoke unfunny jokes for the robot at Gearbox, where his main job was in business development, but he left Gearbox in 2017 so getting him back would involve payment. And here the disagreement begins, with Eddings and Pitchford indirectly sniping at each other, which spiralled into Eddings claiming Pitchford had assaulted him.

Letters – A Written Adventure is, say the developers, “a heart warming coming of age story about finding the right words.” It’s part puzzle game, part adventure game, part platformer, but all words. I got to play an early demo of it, and talk to the devs, and it made me think about the joy of writing a letter — of physically putting pen to paper, crafting a long message instead of texting a short snippet.

What a thing Mordhau is, to take a genre more or less defined by a single wonderful game (Chivalry, for those wondering) and improve upon that formula in nearly every conceivable way to supply players with one of the most intricate and deeply rewarding melee combat systems in gaming. But all that complexity makes it pretty bloody hard to figure out what you’re meant to do half the time – as I’m sure you’ve noticed, if you’re here reading a Mordhau guide.

I’ve put together the below Mordhau guide and tips series to give newer players some guidance beyond what the game’s tutorial gives you, and to provide some more advanced fighting and duelling tips for players looking to fight like an Alpha player with 500+ hours already in the game.

After last week I left Marty Burnham alone for the whole bank holiday weekend. I wanted the world to explode and didn’t give a heck about it. Today I find I have once again been given a surprising reprieve; despite not playing for three whole days I have only missed one in-game. But I didn’t want or ask for this one. I wanted to abdicate responsibility but it is still here. Hello responsibility. Life goes on. Argh.

Around 150-200 Riot Games employees walked out from the League Of Legends developers’ Los Angeles studio yesterday, reports say, to protest the company contracts blocking lawsuits. Riot recently tried to shut down two sexual discrimination lawsuits by pointing out employee contracts waive the right to court claims, being forced to settle disputes through arbitration. That’s a private process which is known to benefit employers more than employees. Riot have said they plan to end forced arbitration only in some cases for some staff, which isn’t enough for many – especially given their wider workplace trashculture. So on Monday, loads of folks held a protest for several hours in the office car park.

There are three resources that you can obtain, but there’s no easy way to get them all quickly. I may have lost my family to a freak accident involving a sentient Edvard Munch painting, but I still find Occupy White Walls enthralling. That’s not the first time I’ve used that word to describe Stiki Pixel’s free-to-play virtual gallery MMO, currently in early access. It likely won’t be the last. Especially not if they keep adding features like those included in the recent Cambrian Explosion update, such as an overhauled tutorial, between-gallery portals and unsettling clockwork art vendors.

Let’s face it, the main reason that most people play Mortal Kombat 11 will be the finishing moves. Fatalities have been a staple since the original Mortal Kombat and have ranged from the simple and effective, to darkly comedic. Some are stinkers, some are spectacles. The codes for the second fatalities for each character are hidden away in the Krypt, but we’ve got all the combinations you need right here and you don’t need to unlock them first.

With new graphics cards coming out left, right and centre these past few months, our best graphics card list has seen a heck of a lot of new entries lately. We’ve had several new entries from Nvidia and AMD alike, and our best GPUs for gaming at 1080p, 1440p and 4K have all been completely refreshed as a result.

There are more to come, too, in the form of AMD’s Navi cards. These probably won’t arrive until later in the summer, but it’s likely we’ll see even more new bestest best graphics cards make it into this list in the not too distant future. There are still plenty of great graphics cards to get stuck into at the moment, though, and the GPUs I’ve gathered together below are, I think, the best graphics cards you can buy right now. Whatever your budget, we’ve got a best graphics card recommendation for you, whether it’s for playing games at 1920×1080, 2560×1440 or 4K.
