Hello everyone! To celebrate that we've been working on Among Ripples 2 for around a year (in secret) I want to share this short clip of the three prototypes we've made since April, 2018.
As you can see the first prototype resembled the first game with "2d side-scroll view" but having tried it we felt it was limiting and went for a more classic tycoon approach with a 3d world. In the second prototype we achieved this and in the third we refined the game concepts and really tried to emulate the watercolour look we've always pushed for.
Added automatic crash report form allowing you to send us data on the crash. (While send us a save file is still the best way to help us fix an issue, this form is an invaluable tool to deal with so-called “random” or irregular crashes which happen unpredictably and are difficult to track down.)
Fixed issues with fatal errors which happen every time from a certain save file. (Some irregular crushes might still happen, but the reported issues (with enclosed save files) which could be replicated are now fixed.) The saves you sent us should now work without crashes.
We thank all of our players who posted these issues on our community hub and sent us save files, so we could locate the problem and solve it in a timely manner. Your help is what allowed us to quickly locate and fix the problem. Make sure to let us know if there are still some problems. We are certain that together we can make a great game!
First feedback We scrutinized the feedback of the first few days to learn what troubles you the most and you would like us to change or add into the game.
As stated above, your crash reports were a tremendous help in fixing crashes you have reported. We are sure that with your help we can gradually polish Strategic Mind: The Pacific to a near perfect state.
We also took notice of your proposals and requests, number one being to allow further camera position (to give you a better overview of the battlefield). We could not add it in today`s update, but we are working on it. Some things you propose are already being worked on, whilst others we add to our “to do” list.
Also, there are first few playthroughs of the first operation “The Battle of the Coral Sea” recorded by the players. You can easily find them on YouTube. We are happy that you guys took time to create these videos even though our game is quite challenging and requires some getting used to its mechanics. We look forward to watching you play the next two operations.
Lastly, one of the most active community members - Stonedog has started to put together all the useful information about the game. (https://steamcommunity.com/app/991810/discussions/0/1649917420740367068/) We hope it will help everyone to get a better grasp of the game. We plan to add a proper tutorial and manual on full release, but until then we are happy that there are experienced and willing-to-help community members out there to help everyone else get a better understanding of the game.
We hope that with the help of volunteering community members our development team can achieve much better results. We thank you all for your contribution towards making a better game.
1. Updated and optimised the gameplay of Chapter 2, removing some redundant elements. This update may cause data errors for players who were stuck on sections that have now been changed or removed. If you are currently on Miracle Street, it is recommended to restart from “Brank! The Missing Person" using the "Chapter Selection” screen on the main menu. If you are at the old Hydroelectric Plant area, it is recommended to restart from “Mistake or Trap? Uncovered Tracks".
2. Updated Combination Benches to let players know which components can be combined to form new items.
3. Optimized the gear system to make it clearer which items can be collected;
4. Optimized several puzzles and removed some repetitive puzzles.
5. Unlocking puzzles have been streamlined.
6. The playing cards in the wine cellar have been replaced.
7. Fixed a number of bugs.
8. Removed German and Spanish from the store page. If you are playing with either of these two languages, please do not change language in the game as this will remove them. Feedback has confirmed that these two language packs are not in a good state. We will review these and update at a later point.
What: It’s time to do a lot of housekeeping and catchup! We are going to take you through the changes that will be coming for Nightwave Series 2, check out what Wisp has been up to on Jupiter with a new game mode, and much, much more!
Prizes? Why yes, we will be giving away 3 x 1000 Platinum Prizes during the Livestream as well as an Equinox Prime Access Pack AND a Dual Prime Vault.
