Queen Gimnax has ordered the reclamation of the northern lands. As a cartographer in her service, you are sent to map this territory, claiming it for the Kingdom of Nalos. Through official edicts, the queen announces which lands she prizes most, and you will increase your reputation by meeting her demands. But you are not alone in this wilderness. The Dragul contest your claims with their outposts, so you must draw your lines carefully to reduce their influence. Reclaim the greatest share of the queen’s desired lands and you will be declared the greatest cartographer in the kingdom.

I am, at least for now, developing this sequel to NF1 as a solo-developer - doing the art, writing, programming etc. - as with the first game. I am planning to bring folks on toward the end, however, particularly for voice acting of the many characters.

Ritual of the Moon - kara_stone

This is the image of the calendar in game. As days go on, it marks your choices. At the end, it will hopefully track your emotional landscape for the past month. ​

Even though I've set out to do #RitualoftheMoonReflections everyday, it's been 6 days since I posted. I was on vacation! A much needed vacation away from my laptop. In Ritual of the Moon, we ask the player to play for 28 days. It's a long time. I believe this habit forming self-relfection that RotM asks is beneficial to us, but of course sometimes we slip up. So the programmers and I had to figure out what would happen if someone missed a day (or 6). Should we make the game keep going, the comet always crashes into the earth? Not do anything? Freeze the game? Never acknowledge they missed a day? In the end, we decided that if you miss a day, the comet crashes into the earth that day, then if you miss the next day or any day after, the game freezes. This is to remind the player that their choices have consequences, but not to have the game punish them totally for missing it.

​I missed days. It's ok. I have a goal. I don't need to punish myself if it doesn't go perfectly. I'll get back on track.

Good day, aspiring hotel managers!

We’re a little late on bringing you today’s update, but rest assured that this is only the case because we have been working diligently towards some major milestones. We are close to finalising our development roadmap for all of the good stuff to come, so you’ll soon be able to follow along more closely. While the team has really gotten into the swing of work and nurtured blissful comradery, we still face challenges as a result of how few of us there are. Therefore, we want to inform you that we are on the hunt for a talented 3D character and prop artist to liven up the game and another programmer to spread the technical load and speed things up.

Now, time for a peek at what we’ve been doing!

Character Art:
The process of designing the visuals and functionality of guests and staff in the game is something we have been working hard on over the past month. To create enough NPC variety without breaking our art budget, we need to implement a dynamic system that randomises clothing, skin colour, facial features, and body types from a collection of assets. This saves time and precious resources while still offering a pretty fantastic result. Here’s an early concept drawing of a few guests and staff members that’ll help guide the final model designs:



Saving & Loading:
Voilà! A big piece of the puzzle has finally been solved! Saving & loading is officially a thing, at least for the systems we have in place at the moment, like building/furniture placement. This is quite a substantial milestone, as we have had issues in the past with efficiently (and accurately) saving walls and floors.

UI Progress:
More important UI work has been completed, such as the addition of simple tooltips to help players traverse the interface (like whether or not a button will bring about certain doom) and the initial designs for the various management screens. However, most of the work done on management screens admittedly had more to do with gameplay than visual design, but it’s still a great improvement over what we had before.

Room Rating:
This one is still a bit of a work in progress, but we have, at the very least, designed a preliminary system for how a given room is perceived by guests and how it is ranked against other rooms. This will absolutely become far more elaborate as development continues, but it should suffice for now.

Essentially, a bedroom’s “real room value” can be rated up to 5 stars. This is determined by the room’s contents, like a 1-star room will at least need a bed, a 2-star will require a bed and a TV, and so on. Additionally, a part of these requirements for improving a room’s rating will be in the form of overall $$$ spent on it. This enforces that players will need to have sponged out a little more cash in addition to the furniture requirements to ensure the room is functionally better.

Once the room is ready, players will be able to market it in any way they see fit. If it’s barely worth 2 stars but you want to market it as a 4-star experience, go for it. However, most guests will call you out on your exaggerated definition and pricing, which will lower your hotel’s global rating. This system is still very much a work in progress, so please let us know your thoughts and suggestions. We appreciate all of your comments!

Hi everyone,

We are excited to announce that our debult show on PAX east has come to a perfect ending. Over 500 players have visited our little booth, which is much more than we expected. And most of them claimed that G2 fighter did bring them a lot of fun.

The co-op mode seems quite popular. It's actually still on beta-testing though:) We will spare more Dev time on it. And of cause, the localization will be our priority to western gamers. English language support will be added ASAP.

Some more polishing work!

- Fixed that the gun projectile would get stuck at the prison bars
- Prison bars now get translucent when you get close to them so it's easier to see the 2nd fire instructions
- Prevent jumping during Force Cube tutorial, so you realise you don't need to jump to make it spawn under you
- Translocator can now be also colored by your gun projectile
- Put a translocator into blue guy's hands for when he runs away from you
- Made flies move to the object they are attracted to instead of snapping them
- Removed electricity thing from onslaught
- Fixed that you could get into the little house next to the supraball pitch without using a combo
- Lowered ground in front of endboss coloring machine to not allow putting things on the Cube to color them
- Translocator ball always glows now when you hold it in your hand
- Fixed mom now pointing at the castle gate when she asks you to open it to avoid confusion
- Fixed tutorial labels respawning after loading the game after the tutorial is finished
