Update 0.12 is now available as an opt-in Beta.

Assuming no major problems, that version will become the default branch next week.

To opt-in now, you just need to right-click on the game in your library, choose properties and go to the Betas tab. There is no password.

If you're playing 0.10.3 (the current default build) there are quite a few changes. Non-spoiler list of the major changes since 0.10.3:
  • Universe is now generated with a hybrid procedural/designed system. Some sectors are procedurally generated, some are designed, some are a combination.
  • Bigger universe. There are now close to 100 star systems with over 300 planets, over half of which have some kind of anomaly or discovery.
  • 130+ unique planetary anomalies/scan discoveries.
  • New technologies.
  • New weapons.
  • New missions/side-quests.
  • New achievements.
  • Updated trade system.
  • Experimental difficulty settings.
  • Improved controller support.
  • Players can now leave notes on the map by right-clicking.
  • Improvements to the mission log including search function.
  • Updates to localization.
  • Various balances changes.
  • Misc. bug fixes.

Note that during Early Access save games are not compatible across content updates, but you always have the option of switching to a previous build to keep playing an older save.

The Hive 1.090 - Save & Load Anywhere Released

Hello everyone, today we are releasing update 1.090 for The Hive

Our plan for this update was to add save&load anywhere feature and quality of life improvements.

We are also adding one of the four new units to Chalatoi faction.

In the future updates, we are planning to change how population cap works, add new player buildings and units.

Our plan is to add more strategy for combat, where certain units are not always the strongest solution.

  • You can now save and load anywhere in the game
  • Chalatoi have gained new worker unit
  • You now start the levels with additional workers
  • GUI improvements with sharper textures
  • Close buttons for several menus
  • Lightmaps updated
  • Light probes updated for better unit lighting.
  • Chalatoi workers now change tool depending on the activity

This week was almost the same type of work as the previous one. Anyway we have good progress in our cinematic trailer and physical animations (which are looking absolutely stunning). Let's start:

Hello everyone !

Here is a new update (1.3) correcting all the feedback I received on Discord, Twitter and private messages.

IMPROVEMENTS
  • Removed the Erase button from the main menu. It is now included in the Settings panel on the main menu.
  • Added Elite Giveaways logo and link in the Credits panel. You must check what they do on Steam:
  • Added a double check on collecting events to be sure they valid when the time is over and you have collected enough.
  • Added anti-aliasing for big screens or Retina screens.

BALANCE
  • Balanced Focus system and passive ore generation.
  • Balanced resources necessary for certain faction missions.

BUGS
  • Focus system should not block anymore.
  • No more empty page in Diplomatic panel.
  • Radar 1 announcement for positive event was wrong. Fixed.

Hello my friend! The game has a new useful feature! New window with information about the Max turns count to get the certain amount of stars on the level. Now you are able to see in advance how many movements are to be done and find out your best result at this level.

0.0.24 focused on Claudia's romance, so the latest devlogs have been about her, but remember that each Romance has its development scheduled, so all characters will have their own space eventually!



Romances in General Practitioner are different in gameplay. You will experience different ways to "win over the heart" of your chosen romance as some will require you to date them for a while, while others will only need you to play events and make choices.

Every romance though roughly follows three major steps: meeting someone, getting to know someone and finally stay with someone.

As Claudia is a relative to the MC, the first step is missing completely, while you played the second one when she visited you at home with Alex, when you spent time with her and when you joined her for dinner or Chrismas.

After those events you might trigger the "romance starter" which in her case is either a kiss or something more, depending on dozens of choices along the way. Starting her romance will eventually lead you to sum things up and decide whether to romance her or not, unlocking her path and events in the game.



One such event is the Medical Conference in Canada, where she will speak to an audience about her medical research in the field of hearth surgery. This event might seem quite similar to the "Trip to Seattle" one, but it has many differences, at least in gameplay terms.

Yeah, because after a while every romance (thus even Claudia's) will enter a "final step", where her "trust" won't be enough to understand if things are going well with her when ending the game and which ending you're going to unlock.

With many choices available in each event, a counter of "good/wrong" choices is thereby activated and this, added to your romance's trust of course, will determine the outcome of the whole story.



You can choose to behave with Claudia the way you want. In each event you will get to know her better and better and the choices you'll make will reflect on your overall story with her. As usual, many situations will unlock only if you chose certain actions, but you won't be locked out from playing the events, as there's no "good choice" or "bad choice" but only choices that will bring you to the next event and so on.



All romances starting from 0.0.24 are pretty much the final content for each girl/guy in the game, but they NEED your feedback and I need your help too! While of course bugs and images can be added and fixed here and there, I need you to tell me what you think about dialogues, situations, even suggest some to add into the game.

Even if it's "just" a story (and a very long one since there are dozens of lines to read through), it still needs alpha testing, hence that's where you, our amazing players' community, come in!

Sector Six - Zuurix
Here it is, the last Sector Six content update!

Altered parts:

Level 90+ or altered parts are here!
Altered parts get additional property and their properties scale based on alteration level.
For example, level 90 altered part with alteration level 10 will have properties like level 100 part.
Altered parts start to drop after completing the story.

Final Ascension:

Highest level altered parts require Ascension level, which can be increased by spending XP after reaching level 90.
Also, Ascension level increases the amount of Ascension Reactor's amplifier slots.
Ascension Reactor is added upon reaching Ascension level 1.

Altered instances:

Make Broken Infinity instances as difficult as Absolute Deterioration for an increased chance to get altered parts!

The Signal:

Get all achievements, install an altered part, clear altered instance, and increase Ascension level to unlock an introduction to Sector Six's sequel, Sector Zero.

Item sorting:

The most wanted Sector Six feature is here!
You can now sort items by grade, properties, type and other options - similar to how "Dismantle all"/"Uninstall all"/"Sell all" functions work!

Automatic selling:

Connect to a vendor to set up automatic selling!
While it's enabled, dropped parts of the selected grade range will be turned into units.

Help interface rework:
  • Multiple quality of life, graphical, and control improvements.
  • Help interface button now glows until it's clicked.
  • Updated some data interface entries and added new entries.
Grade name changes:

Replaced grade names - generic, optimized, advanced, fractal, mythical, etalon - with grade numbers - grade 1, grade 2, grade 3, etc.
Original grade names can still be seen in tooltips, elsewhere the game uses grade numbers.
This was done to make grades less confusing.
For example, instead of saying "Mission reward: Optimized part" the game will now say "Mission reward: Grade 2 part".

Changes:
  • Failing a mission is now a lot faster.
  • Rapid Fire Mode now speeds up all attack abilities.
  • Evolution mechanic improved: Minions now evolve into bigger minions faster.
  • Added level 90 weapon skins.
  • Achievement spoiler: Symbol of Life and Cache achievements can now be achieved in Broken Infinity.
  • Changed XP sound.
  • Made several improvements to language selection systems.
  • Changed item tooltip system: Tooltips will no longer go outside the screen.
  • Ability interface now shows ether cost clarification if Flow Stagnation modifier is enabled.
  • Dismantle all button moved to vendor interface to make space for sort button.
  • New parts are now highlighted and can be interacted with through management: Uninstalled, dismantled, sold, filtered, and sorted.
  • Added flipped versions of a station, deflector, inhibitor, and antenna skins.
  • Item experience boost is now capped at 200%. NA-1, Naonic Archive increases the cap to 300%.
  • Power Shield ability now attempts to cause white wave when activated.
  • Level parts 89 are no longer generated in level 90 missions and vendors.
  • Weapons are now slightly more common.
  • Weapons are even more common in regions 1-4 to help the new players get enough weapon damage.
  • Frailsphere, Pearl of Deterioration no longer halves maximum armor.
  • Legionvault, Fractal Arsenal now also increases double drop chance.
  • It's no longer possible to create level 90+ instance.
  • Improved part tooltips.
  • Increasing difficulty now gives +5% loot quality and +1% double drop chance per difficulty level instead of 10% and 2%.
  • Lodeon's Ultimatum set effect now scales with the number of parts installed: Armor to damage conversion reaches 100% with 80 parts installed.
  • Relics can now be sold for units!
  • For technical reasons it's no longer possible to use anodes on Upgrade Sockets, Amplifier Well relic.
Fixes:
  • Fixed: Instance loot quality does not work.
  • Fixed: Elimination mission objective reminder mentions escorting the carrier.
  • Fixed: Vendor items in Broken Infinity are affected by instance loot quality.
  • Fixed: Scrambler Belt Escalation achievement description spelling mistake.
  • Fixed: Locked parts cannot be uninstalled via uninstall button.
  • Fixed: Crippled Vault relic is preventing level ups from increasing the part limit.
  • Fixed: Area tooltip + The Decision modifier problem.
  • Fixed: Level 75 level up screen does not show that part and weapon limit has increased.
  • Fixed: Story spoiler: Infinity is called Broken Infinity before it's broken during mission 13.
  • Fixed: Mission 12 cannot be completed.
  • Fixed: Minor alloy container issues.
  • Fixed: Mistake in Fear Bringer Ourend's minion spawning code makes enemies jump forward after been spawned causing all sorts of problems.
  • Fixed: Sections are generated with weapon skins.
  • Fixed: Non-rotating skins + rotated parts + skin applying problem.
  • Fixed: Re-stock button tooltip is visible outside vendor interface.
  • Fixed: Controller cursor doesn't stick to the spaceship building grid in vendor interface.
  • Fixed: Wrong level 80 node skin.
  • Fixed: Map arrow button controlled hint.
  • Fixed: Restoration War may select already secured region to be contested.
  • Fixed: Minor resurrection mission glitch.
  • Fixed: Sell all result notification shows the wrong unit amount.

  • Fixed: Guillotine + seeking projectiles problem.
  • Fixed: Pearl of Deterioration effect triggers Sacrifice achievement.
  • Fixed: Contribution and vendor statuses are not updated when new missions or instances are generated.
Old saves:

Old saves will be updated to fix saves affected by mission 12, Restoration War, and Crippled Vault glitches.

We've got lots of new features in the works, but our focus post-launch has been first on fixing bugs and resolving various issues that have been brought up through feedback. Keep the feedback coming as it is very valuable for us to continue making the game you want to play!

FEATURE There is a new checkpoint system that allows restoring your ship to its previous state after getting parts destroyed. Just enter the hangar after losing parts and a popup will appear asking if you want to recover the parts. The fee is mostly credits with a small gem cost based on the parts lost.
UPDATE Parts in cargo that used to be destroyed when their cargo bay was destroyed are now dropped in the world to be picked back up.
UPDATE Team Race results now show each player's monthly Team Race points ranking.
UPDATE The one-time account reset limit has been removed, but if you are having an issue that is requiring multiple resets please let us know.
UPDATE Tweaked down the gem cost of painting parts.
UPDATE Slightly tweaked up the world size (keep in mind that the actual world size is determined by number of online players).
UPDATE When auto selling crystals, the credit amount now animates from the bottom left of the screen.
UPDATE Tweaked down drone revive gem cost.
FIX Some daily bounty tasks wouldn't count correctly.
FIX Some mines wouldn't pay out crystals correctly.
