I'm gonna release a new version possibly next weekend, but lots of people complain about the skill balance (Pistols and Rifles being the best). So I just made a test EXE. It decreases the firearms skill bonuses by 25%, and doubles the base aiming. It also removes the small accuracy bonus with the scope (the magnification should be enough), and prevents scope zooming while swimming (which will be in the next patch regardless).
Just put the EXE in the game folder and run it. It's gonna also affect all the baddie accuracy as well, making their gun skill less important (but accuracy bonus for the guns themselves more important). I really don't have time to test out the entire game balance again, so lemme know if this is better or not for the next patch. I think it probably will be better.

The Steam Trading Card passed and has been updated. Collecting a trading card allows you to obtain an Emoticon, a Steam Profile Background, and a Profil Badge.

Can now be accessed from the Events Monkey, allowing the creation of custom challenges which can be shared with a code to friends or submitted for Ninja Kiwi review and possible inclusion in future standard or advanced Daily Challenges. Or you can just roll a random challenge to have fun with.*Submitted challenges must be able to be completed without powers or continues.

Ezili’s level 10 MOAB Hex ability can jump to the next-strongest target if its main target is destroyed before the duration expires, there is no limit to the number of jumps but the duration will not be refreshed.

Ok, we're a few days late, but we wanted to get this in good shape before putting it out there for you. There are some big features in this release centered primarily around contracts. Here we go:
Contract handling is greatly improved in numerous ways. Contracts have two types: standard and entry level (max $1m, always 3 years)
Players can be offered contract extensions
Lineup screen now has lists of players with no contracts, expired contracts, and pending waivers
Changed colour of 'Leader' tag
'Live' draft screen format is now simpler
Profile of player skills in draft has changed - players are now stronger
RFA's are now treated differently - RFA players can no longer be offer-sheeted. There is no list of RFA players shown on July 1
Fixed a potential crash when sending waived players to minors
When players are newly drafted they are no longer automatically signed. They instead go to the 'Unsigned - Drafted' list
Reduced strength of players under age 21 to simulate players not being "NHL-ready"
If you don't make an offer on a UFA, the accepted/rejected summary page is no longer shown
You no longer 'waive' an unsigned player - you release them. They go right to free agency.
Players in lineup screen now show 'Pending UFA' or 'Pending RFA' if they are becoming that status at the end of the season
As always, this update will break any saved games that you have. Once we go to full release, updates won't do this to you!

I was able to successfully get an alpha build up on Steam for testing across several different computers of different makes/models via Steam distribution.
The good news is that the game was able to be downloaded and installed on all devices tested and the game launched as well through Steam.
The bad news is that it didn't perform that great on laptops that were 5-6+ years old.
With the current devices tested, here's a list of the system specs of the lowest end device that ran the game without any frame rate problems:

Processor: Intel i5-3570K @3.40 GHz
Memory: 16 GB RAM (Less than 2 GB was used by the game during run-time)
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 Ti

I doubt that something with that high of requirements will be needed for the game but at the moment, that's what I have been able to test for.
Something else to note - Unreal Editor 4 has baseline requirements for the engine so these may work just fine as well:
