Hello everyone!

Oscar has been fixing some unexpected bugs the past couple of weeks, hence the delay. Thank you for your patience. Now we finally have some proper news for you. The latest version of the game will be available to the testers tonight, and if nothing unexpected happens we'll be able to set a release date some time this week.

There are still a few formalities left to take care of, but we are doing our utmost to release the game as soon as possible.

The heroic WWII mission to capture a deadly Tiger Tank from the Germans was revealed for the first time in 2012.

“Major!” barked Winston Churchill to young military engineer. “I want you to go and catch me a Tiger”. I want you to bring me a Tiger tank. Park the bloody thing outside my front door. Do you understand?”

“Perfectly sir,” replied Major Douglas ­Lidderdale.
That was the start of one of the most dangerous and heroic missions of the Second World War. The mission to capture a Tiger was shrouded in such secrecy that it was only after Douglas’s death in 1999 that his son David learned the truth about his father’s mission.


The deadly German Tigers had started rolling off the production line in August of 1942 and were wiping out Allied soldiers, decimating their morale. Allied tank crew`s terror of Tigers was so widespread it got its own nickname-Tigerphobia. But if the Tiger could be captured, then the Allies could learn how to destroy them in battle.

So on January 22, 1943, Douglas kissed his wife Kathleen goodbye, and left for Tunisia. He took a hand-picked team: tank driver Corporal Bill Rider, Sergeant Sam Shaw and ­Lieutenant Reg Whatley. They arrived in Tunisia in the first week of February 1943 to a 20-mile wide front from El Aroussa in the south to Beja in the north.



But two months passed and Douglas became frustrated, as he had only near misses. One Tiger was blown up by the Royal Engineers. Another was towed to safety by the German army. A third was destroyed by its crew to stop it being captured.

Then on April 21, Doug’s chance finally came. He woke early, his tent rocked by the sound of heavy gunfire. With 250,000 enemy troops bottled up in north-east Tunisia, the Allies had been just a day away from forcing the enemy to surrender or sweep them into the sea. But the Germans had learned of their plans and launched a surprise attack.

Douglas knew it was his big chance. He said to Reg: “You can bet your life that among them are Tigers on the prowl. This could be our lucky day, the chance to nab one at last.” They climbed into their Churchill tank and went Tiger-hunting, heading to the battlefield.



Almost straight away Douglas saw his opportunity. Less than half a mile away he spotted the turret of a Mark VI Tiger – Tiger 131. The hatch was open and a soldier was examining the gun. The turret was jammed. “We’ll cut around the edge of the ridge and then down the slope,” Douglas explained. “At top speed, we can be right up his backside in just a few minutes.”
He peppered the German with bullets, then shouted to Bill to get alongside the Tiger and climbed on to the roof. As he tried to keep his balance, one of the Germans emerged with an MP 40 machine gun. Douglas was staring in the death`s face but then Sam shot the German.

When this mini-battle was over, Douglas turned to his men, ordered them to unscrew their water canteens and said: ­“Gentlemen I propose a toast. To the capture of the Tiger – Herr Hitler’s favourite toy.”

A few weeks later, Churchill came to Tunisia to see the tank for himself and said: “One day Mr Lidderdale, the nation will know all about the courage of you and your men. But you must not talk about this mission until I give you the word.” King George VI was the next VIP to visit the Tiger, after making the longest air journey of a monarch.

The next task for Major Lidderdale and his men was transporting the Tiger back to Britain. But, the Germans knew a British officer had a Tiger tank. Pursued by them, he only reached Algeria in August. Finally, on the morning of September 20, 1943, he headed for Britain with the tank on foredeck of the Ocean Strength. The ship was pursued by U-Boats and strafed by Luftwaffe planes but in October 1943 she arrived at Glasgow.



Upon his arrival Douglas headed to Whitehall, where Churchill greeted him: “Mr. Schicklgruber (Hitler) and his Huns will be crying themselves to sleep tonight. Thank you, Colonel.”

“Thank you sir but if I may say so, with respect, I’m only a major,” Douglas said.
“With respect, I think you can call yourself Colonel after this,” replied the Prime Minister.

In November 1943 the tank was paraded on Horse Guards Parade. And Tiger 131 now has its place at Bovington Tank Museum in Dorset.

Version 1.1 of keyg is released!

Here what it includes:

  • Lots of bug fixes. Probably some are still there, so don't be shy, tell me about them.
  • Lots of level corrections. Some were too difficult, some too confusing. Now I hope it's fine.
  • 1 new level that I think is necessary.
  • Something else that I forgot about.

Thanks for every comment you have about our cards balancing. Some of you advise me that there’s a problem with the last Powerful cards changes, but in the other way, there are positive comments about that decision. I prefer to prove it now it BETA version than make changes in Early Process. I would try another change balancing with those cards, my decision is to change the full concept of that card does. Some players abused of “farming” card system (that’s the key in the BETA process). In the way to correct those errors, I propose new balancing changes, in a few days I’ll send you a poll of which balance is better according to with your opinion. Oh! There are another IMPORTANT new for all of you, FROM NOW ON YOUR PROGRESS WILL BE KEEP BETWEEN UPDATES BUT IT’S SO IMPORTANT TO READ THE INSTRUCTIONS BELOW, IN ORDER TO KEEP YOUR CURRENT PROGRESS FROM UPDATE 002 INTO UPDATE 003 (THESE STEPS ARE NOT NECESSARY FOR FUTURE UPDATES):

*** IMPORTANT NOTE TO SAVE YOUR CURRENT PROGRESS BEFORE UPDATE!!! ***

BEFORE DOWNLOAD the update 003 of the BETA, you must follow the following instructions to keep your current progress and settings:

  • Create a new folder named "saveData" into the game folder (usually in \Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Deck Hunter\) it must to be like this "\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Deck Hunter\saveData"

  • Navigate into the following game folder (usually in \Program Files(x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Deck Hunter\DeckHunter_Data\StreamingAssets\Data\)

  • Cut the following files (Ctrl + X) "dhSaveFile.dhf" and "dhSettings.dhf"

  • Paste the copied files (Ctrl + V) into the previously created folder "\saveData\"

  • Now update the game into 003 version

  • NOTE: Don´t worry if the compilation info in the top of the screen shows version 002 because is taking it from your saveFile.dhf , it will be reset after reset profile or losing any combat.

  • Enjoy! ;-)


*** If you have any problem doing this, you can reset everything pressing the delete profile button (red button with a white cross in the right side of your profile name in Main Menu.


Here you can read the other changes in the update:

  • ADDED: NEW SAVING SYSTEM. Now you will not lose your progress between updates.

  • SET “Powered Strike” and “Powered Defender” with its original cost, (1) and ADD to both cards “Discard a random card from your card”

  • ADD the keyword “FORGET” on “Sanation” card.

  • CHANGE the name text of “Levep Up” card to the correct form “Level Up” ;)

  • REDUCE the power of some combos (you may discover it).

  • ADD some new secret combos (can you discover?)

  • New balancing of Map: Area 2 would be more friendly...or not? ;)

In the last UPDATE I tested an idea with the combo system, normally you can use it for obtaining benefits during the combat but now you need to pay attention because there are some “contra-combos” that works against you.

Oneirogen - Dogū
I'm happy to announce we have left Early Access. The build is stable and the assets are ironed out. I will continue to support any major problems (please write me if you have any!), but I felt it was important to focus on a bigger and more sophisticated VR project. That's where my heart is. DwarfCorp - Completely Fair Games, Ltd.

Hi all, we’ve pushed a new version to Steam and itch. This version should be compatible with older version. This version fixes some critical bugs, and adds some instrumentation to help us track down the root cause more crashes in the future. As we’ve been holding off on new features the crashes we’re finding are getting more and more rare, and are harder to reproduce.

Changes
  • Optimizations to the way dwarfs sense enemies. This should result in a slight performance boost.
  • Add instrumentation and null checks while generating new worlds. (This is an attempt to find the root cause of a common crash that hasn’t yet been fixed.)
  • Fix crash while adventuring dwarfs are attempting to eat.
  • Introduce an “invalid resource” that will be generated when a resource doesn’t exist in the game’s library (like a particular kind of dirt, ore, etc.) rather than crashing the game. This will “fix” a few common crashes, but doesn’t address their root cause (which we haven’t discovered yet).
  • Clear out bad textures from the texture cache whenever the graphics device gets reset.
  • Fix minor exploit which allows the player to build at the top layer or on bedrock by holding ALT and using the scroll wheel.
  • Fix more rare crashes during world generation.

--- WEAPONS ---
Some weapons skins are now the same color as their pickup:

--- SERVER PAUSE & ADMIN ---
This has been reworked. In the last version an admin could pause, but there were two problems:
  • Others players were not notified and thought the game frozen.
  • When a player connected to a server which was paused, it would unpause without notice.
So with this update, when an admin set a server on pause, all players have a message on the middle of the screen. Moreover, the game cannot be unpaused as long as the admin doesn’t allow it. Check this video to see how it works:

--- MOVEMENTS REWORKED & NETCODE ---
A large part of the movements code was reworked (mechanic and network parts).

About the movement mechanic part:
  • Falling jump: Cannot be used if the player is near the ground (few centimeters), but can be used after each bounce if the height above the ground allows it.
  • Super Jump: Can be used if the player is near the ground (few centimeters) and when the player touches the ground.
  • Bounce: Bounce height is now calculated based on your speed and the slope on which you arrived. For example, a player who bounces slowly will do smaller bounces than a player at high speed.

About the netcode part:
Since bounce where implemented, when playing online, sometimes the players can have very quick camera backlash. This was a network issue due to player and server synchronization. Most of the players don’t detect/see the problem due to a low ping. But now, for those with a high ping, you will be able to bounce without problem since the script was fully reworked and optimized.

--- HUD UPDATE ---
Some changes were made for the HUD. The most important is that the stamina gauge & health point are now located on the bottom center of the screen.

  • Some Stats fixed.
  • Packet Loss update fixed.
  • Teleporter touch / untouch players reworked.
  • If a map is voted during the countdown at the start of a game, then after the map change, the match starts automatically without any countdown: fixed.
  • 25 HP / 50 HP pickup colors switched.
  • First elimination on warm-up fixed.
  • Sound bug fixed for community maps.
  • Jumper player collision radius is bigger.
  • Elevators trigger delays.
  • Player Ready added on scoreboard added.
