Welcome to Arcade Spirits v1.02! We've added a big feature, changed a few things, and fixed up a bunch of minor issues along the way...
  • The Home Arcade Documentary is now available from the Prizes menu! This interactive documentary hosted by Naomi explains how you (yes, you!) can build or buy your own multi-purpose arcade machine and really get your game on!
  • Modified one of Percy's endings to add some ambiguity. (Mouseover to reveal this spoiler if you've already finished the game...) It felt too punishing to have him simply die if you didn't befriend him. Our game promotes positivity and this stuck out weirdly. Now, it's simply left ambiguous. Enjoy your retcon!
  • By popular demand, added Pizza Facts to the end of each episode! Thank you for subscribing to Pizza Facts!
  • Adjusted the 'Basic' style user interface for improved readability and accessibility.
Minor fixes:
  • Fixed a crash when using "They" pronouns and dating Naomi.
  • Fixed more instances of QueenBee's costume being incorrect.
  • Fixed unlockable Juniper image to the main menu extras.
  • Fixed Mateo's full name being misspelled in Level 03.
  • Adjusted some language for sensitivity.
  • Improved comedic timing on some lines.
  • Simplified Iris's initial explanation of Fist of Discomfort.

The first AI/social interactions update was posted last night but I had to take it down temporarilybecause of a compatibility issue with the package. I am working on the patch now and hope to get that update out today or as soon as the issue is addressed.

Ira Act 1: Pilgrimage - Ore
We can’t believe It’s 2019 and at this point our project launched on Kickstarter about 3 years ago. That time frame doesn't even include our initial Kickstarter. It’s more like 4 years all together (for us). At this point we are way over on time, but, you already know that. Regardless of that fact everyone has been really supportive and understanding. Seriously, not a single bad thing has been sent our way. We know we've been fortunate in regards to that. Where are the torches and pitchforks? Anyway, labors of love can take a lot of time and energy to bring into existence, and we appreciate your continued support and understanding.

In full candor we had taken a mental health break around the holidays. Between all the bug issues at the end of last year and burning the candle at both ends our little team was wearing out. We needed a little down time and now that we've had it we are feeling good, and excited to get back to Ira. We don’t have an exact release date but we are doing our best to get things wrapped up in a timely manner. When everything is working and feeling right we will lay down an official release timeline.

With all that being said we are looking forward to a strong finish this year, and more frequent updates every month! We can't wait to share the adventure with you.

Characters with level-ups waiting for them now have a star over their heads in the lance setup menu. (Also, just now patched an issue where the stars were not showing up if they were in front of the fog.)

You can now browse through next and previous characters in your army from the equipment menu (with a little animation on the character portrait), without returning to the default character sheet.

For modders, I changed all instances where a new pawn gets created so that it will create a pawn of the default class you set in the GameInfo, instead of creating a new RPGTacPawn. This makes it much easier for you to implement custom pawns throughout the game.
