The wait is almost over! Thanks for your patience and your continuous support!
We’ve used the last couple of weeks to polish a lot of elements of our game so that you could enjoy your adventures to the fullest. Let’s celebrate it with finding some treasures, shall we?
Are you prepared? Does the metal detector have a full battery? Are your old, comfy shoes ready and polished? Is the canteen full of water? Is the backpack empty and waiting for goodies? Just don’t forget a hat and some tanning oil, so that you won’t get sunburned.
As you may remember, we promised additional languages for the release. English, Spanish, German, Russian, French, Italian, Turkish, Korean, Simplified Chinese, and Polish are there! We are also happy to announce that we managed to add Portuguese to the list!
That’s not all! To celebrate the premiere even louder, we discounted the game for 15% as a reward for you to compensate for the postponed release date. So if you don’t own the game yet, it’s the best time to grab it for a bit less.
We are adding last details, and as soon we are ready, we will make the game live!
Today we are visiting the southern tip of Africa, with the long conflict that overcome Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe). Fight on the side of the old colonial masters who want to preserve their age-old dominance on this...
Today we are introducing a big update, which we talked about yesterday. - Difficulty levels (now there are 5 difficulty levels). The complexity depends on: the starting amount that you have in your account, the complexity of the AI, the record points you will receive at the end. The biggest difficulty is now really fun) - Records. The record points consist of two parts: the move on which you won, as well as the number of gold that you had at the moment (plus the value of the property, plus the price you paid for entering the countries). The higher the complexity, the more points there will be of course. - New bankruptcy mechanics. Now every turn has its own "Minimum" value of the bank, which it should have. If the bank value is below this level, it will be excluded from the race for leadership, as negligible. In fact, this mechanics complements the "Mercenaries" and now you can bankrupt competitors in a cascade. - The third option is a victory. Now you can bankrupt your competitors and then you will also win. This is a very difficult victory, especially at high levels of difficulty, but it’s still more interesting, right?) We also added a number of minor updates. Tomorrow we will tune the localization in order to be fully armed by launch;)
Six Ages is more than a myth or a legend -- it's going to be playable on Steam (hopefully)... but not as quickly as we'd initially planned.
Unfortunately, the original programmer we contracted in the summer didn't work out, and although he had to visit the emergency room a couple of times, he's thankfully recovering now. But we have had to re-start the porting process with a new porting partner.
We're happy to be working with Rusto Games, a small outfit in Finland (three cheers for Finland!) who are big fans of King of Dragon Pass and Six Ages, which makes us big fans of them in turn.
We aren't sure exactly what the new release date is, but we're hoping to hit desktops (PC and Mac) spring or summer 2019. You'll be the first to know when we have more details. In the meantime, David and the team has been making lots of bugfixes, so it will be the most polished release of the game it can be.
Warhammer 40,000: Gladius - Relics of War - Alberto
We are releasing a new update, version 1.1.5!
As usual we are improving and constantly finetuning both the gameplay balance and AI performance. We would like to thank all who took part in the beta testing and provided us with extremely useful feedback.
And it's just a matter of a few days before we unveil what is coming next...
Changelog Version 1.1.5
### Balance * Changed loyalty resource output modifier from +/-2% to +1% for positive and -2% for negative loyalty. * City tiles no longer exhibit zone of control. * City tiles now obstruct vision. * City tiles now provide ranged damaged reduction not only to allied units. City damage reduction is still only affecting allies.
### AI * AI will now generally use their units in a more aggressive fashion when they think they have an edge over their opponent. * AI now only considers retreating army to defend if the threat cannot be handled by the city alone. * AI units that are too far away from the main army will now act on their own and try to accomplish things in the area where they are instead of joining up with the main army at all costs. They will still join the main army if they don't find anything else to do in their proximity. * AI no longer disbands units. * Librarian no longer uses Shockwave on artifacts. * Fixed a bug that caused AI to not use their support units properly and also caused some other unintended behavior. * Fixed an issue that prevented invading enemies spawned by quests to act as intended. * Fixed a recent regression that could cause natives to not do nothing under certain circumstances.
- added a food multiplier based on the amount of humans where food values are x2 with 0 humans and x1 with 10 or more humans - the spawn countdown timer for new humans (infants) stops if there isn't enough food to support them - this means that food is less of a problem in the early game, but will keep it's intended "puzzle" for those that get to the late-game
changes & fixes
- fixed a pathfinding bug where items wouldn't get picked up - this was also indirectly the cause for some cases where humans were constantly idle/praying/eating. So that's fixed now as well! - fixed game freezing when a UFO is landing and there is no land in sight - added a double check before quiting/restarting from the menu - added a reset savefile option - added names for humans with a length of 5 letters (previously up to 4) - changed some compendium entries - chickens should be less talkative
Minion Masters! Today, entrance to the arenas becomes free!
Minion Masters is now free to play on Steam
MM will still be in early access till release early next year, but this is a step towards preparing for that release. We're doing it to ensure everything related to this change works well before the release, and we’ve had some good talks with Valve on how to prepare for that on Steam. To set expectations, we believe it will increase the playerbase a bit now, but the main increase is expected when leaving early access, releasing and promoting everything all together on Pc and Consoles at the actual release next year.
Early access content
The paid early access bonus content, being the Nightbringer skin and the release gift will no longer be given to players who get the game from now on, as it's now free to play. Everyone who got the game before that will still keep the content and get the gift on release day.
