Hello everyone!

We’re extending the Technical Beta: Phase 2 for a week to add some features and fix issues, the servers for TB2 will now be available until December 13th.

Mark of Impurity is a rogue skill and the revision of Death mark from the Alpha. It allows you to mark an enemy, making him more vulnerable to your attacks and allowing you, through the Active Skill Tree, to trigger chain reactions.



Sovereign Shout is a warrior skill that allows you to buff yourself and your friends, improving your attack and spell casting speed. Through the AST, other options are available, such as weakening other enemies, or gain armor.



We’ve added a unique staff for mages as well. Chrono Cell allows you to put your foes in stasis, reducing their movement speed.



Finally, we’re proud to introduce the Mother of Svriirs, called Svriir Beta Spawner. Her specialist abilities allow her to make svriir appear around you and she can provide a buff to all nearby enemies.

Since Dec. 3rd, we received some feedback from a small number of players mentioning an issue about having drastically decreased framerate in-game compared to before (for example- 100 FPS dropped to 30 FPS). The dev team has already located the initial cause for this issue, if you are currently using a laptop computer with a NVIDIA graphics card, and updated your graphics driver to the latest version (417.22, Dec. 3rd), then you might experience this framerate issue.

Therefore, if you are currently experiencing this issue, we suggest re-installing the last stable version NVIDIA graphics driver to play Ring of Elysium. The dev team will pay close attention to this issue and resolve it as soon as possible. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused, thank you for your patience and support.

The next game update will be featuring a new Engineer primary: LWRC SMG-45. This is a submachine gun designed specifically for American law enforcement agencies, coincidentally showing the highest damage values of all Engineer weapons in the game!

Inspiration



SMG-45 by the American manufacturer LWRC has been surrounded by a veil of mystery, prompting a lot of speculation about its features and performance. Designed to withstand the harshest combat environments and conditions ever conceivable, the SMG underwent rigorous testing through several generations before receiving a ‘seal of approval’ in the eyes of its own manufacturer and the law enforcement of the United States. Chambered in .45 ACP, this SMG traces its roots to the H&K UMP family and magazines.

In Warface



In terms of combat specs, LWRC SMG-45 is a hulkier version of the UMP. It can dish out the highest damage of all Engineer primaries and is capable of killing with a single shot to the head. To offset this strength, we’ve given it a lower rate of fire, harsher recoil and restricted its effective range. SMG-45 also comes with two unique attachments:
  • LWRC SMG-45 1.3x collimator sight
  • LWRC SMG-45 angle grip: increases accuracy, substantially reduces recoil, increases weapon selection / deselection speed
The golden version of this SMG features gorgeous looks and higher stats.

The new submachine gun will be available in Random Kredit and Crown boxes.

Today we will figure out how new alchemy system would work.

First of all, what's wrong with current alchemy?
Alchemy is like jack-in-the-box, so novice can't predict result of ingredient mix. In case of failure, you will get useless goo and that's not proper way to being alchemist.


How we will change the alchemy?We will reward players curiosity and make alchemy more friendly. That's why in case of failure you will receive tip-goo. This goo will give you a clue how to mix properly one of used ingredients.
For instance, you may turn goo into ingredient on alchemy workbench.

How does it works?I am trying to mix Acceleration powder with Toxic solution. I get Slowing goo as a result.



It mean that I can successfuly mix Acceleration powder with Slowing solution, or Slowing powder with Toxic solution. We will try first case. With our Hand mixer I can turn 4 Slowing goo into Slowing solution.



Then I mix Acceleration powder with earned Slowing solution.

Sine Requie: Snake Eyes - Detto il Bello
As stated in the very previous entry of this blog, The Inquisition is always listening, the major issue of the demo we released is the stillness of the combat. In particular, many have complained about the lack of animations.
But what does animate actually mean?
Coming from the Latin word for soul, anima, to animate is literally bringing something to life.



For the Sine Requie: SnakeEyes art style we decided to look at the Italian 800' and 900' paintings. With the aid of talented illustrators Giuseppe Di Girolamo and Salvo Lo Iacono, we created those beautiful detailed characters and backgrounds. Unfortunately, it is really difficult to move figures made in our art style.

However, animating something has more to do with giving it the appearance of life than to just move it. We, therefore, decided to make some research, looking at visual tricks from various media. In many shots from Japanese animated series, there is no actual character animation: the camera movement and a smart use of transitions gives the sense of dynamicity.



This happens in many games too. For example, a game we really are not inspired by Darkest Dungeon.



So, we changed the camera movements and the images treatment to convey the idea of a gory brawl.
