Jack Is Missing - Madkev
First of all, I want to thank all of the players that have supported me by purchasing the game in its early states. Jack Is Missing was a prototype and learning project, it contained simple story plot and a limited 'One Room' based map. I understand that a lot of players are calling this a bad game, or not complete. I am still learning and I respect opinions from a lot of players that his should have been free, and that was my mistake so now I will be making Jack Is Missing free. I'm open to ideas and suggestions that can help me improve, and also to a lot of people asking, the reason I made this game originally paid was to cover some of the expenses. In this update, or maybe the last update of the game, I have removed some of the things as players pointed out that could lead to potential copyright infringement, and I really want to thank them for pointing it out as that I did not research fully on copyright issues. But anyways, now Jack Is Missing is free, even though it is not much of a great game, I still hope you will enjoy,

Star Explorers - Schmidt Workshops
2018 is the year Star Explorers has been officially released. So I am working diligently to make sure it operates like a well oiled machine by the end of the year.

I have added all the major features I was planning (though I still have a rather long wish-list of possible future updates), and I am working hard to revamp the star chart and menu functions for the next update. I am also collecting all the latest bug reports, so I can address those as soon as possible.

I really do appreciate all the kind words so many of you have said about the game in the reviews, youtube videos, and even in the somewhat less enjoyable bug reports. Getting good feedback is like gold for a developer, so keep it coming!

Patch Notes:

-Modified the Blade (power03) power up to now award a point for every enemy that you cut through during it's duration
-Modified the Point (power00) power up to now award three points upon activation instead of two
-Modified the Time (power01) power up to no longer completely stop time. Now the power will slow time to about 25% speed but for a longer duration. This adds more challenge as the enemies still move which decreases the over powered nature of this power up in end game times but also allows players to better get close calls on the slower enemies.
-Slightly altered the overall balancing of enemy spawning and speeds to compensate for the changes made to power ups.
-Changed font throughout to better fit into the games aesthetic
-Improved the look of power up pick ups
-Changed the appearance of text and effects for bonus points
-Better effects and particles for when enemies explode and hit walls
-Softened and altered a variety of particle effects to make them blend better with the overall aesthetics and be more lean for lower end CPUs
-Altered all in game menus to have more noticeable / functional selection methods.
-Added minor new background effects to further the neon / soft / ?foggy? kind of aesthetic I was aiming for
-Pressing back from the round end menu will now back out to the character select screen, and then back again will go to the menu
-Resolved bug where screen shaking continued into pause menu
-Fixed some rare unusual particle layering during the pause menu

I have also created a separate branch on Steam for players that have issues or don't like the changes made, so they can still access V3 through the BETA menu in the Steam Client.

Changes
  • Until money making techniques are implemented (races, events), I've disabled Money throughout the game. Everything is essentially 0 dollars for now.
  • Custom music is now loaded only when the game starts so that there isn't any stutter from loading music when we spawn into the scene.
  • You can now clear user data by launching the game with the flag -cleardata in the Steam launch options. (This is useful to start the game over without deleting your graphics and controls settings.)
  • New basic GPS system that is accessible via the world map in the pause menu. This basic GPS will guide you to your marked destination via an indicator and will give you starting and arrival messages. (In the future, you will be able to set custom positions with on-road navigation splines)
  • New rewritten Photo Mode is now available, simply enter photo mode the same as before through the gallery in the pause menu.
  • New test events to test out the future event setups, winnings, etc. You can set your GPS to the events to find them or follow the map and pressing the corresponding buttons to enter the event. (Actual events are not yet available, until further testing on the nightly branch)
  • New graphics option "Realime Lights." Enables or disables realtime lights in the world.
    *Off = No realtime lights.
    *Normal = Only very important lights and vehicle lights will be activated.
    *Ultra = All realtime lights will be activated. (Not for low end systems as lights that are not important are only for cinematic quality.)
  • Added back old garage from multiplayer beta test phase.
  • Added back blow off valve's sound after small bug with rewrite.
  • Deleted early_access08, and release_technical branches to avoid confusion between public and nightly branches.
  • Added missing short shifter upgrades to the drivetrain section.
  • You can no longer buy parts if they are already installed.
  • Reverted controls menu back to original theme so that controls are re-aligned properly.
  • Fixed tire offset not saving properly.
  • Fixed tire offset being calculate improperly when copying to front or back.
  • Fixed a bug where music would be deleted once loaded resulting in a corrupt custom radio station.
  • Fixed car lot names showing wrongly.
  • Fixed car lot scrolling when buying window is open.
  • Fixed the missing car lot exit button.
  • Fixed input popup from throwing an error when entering garage.
  • Fixed player pathing returning an error when attempting to save data while game is paused.
  • Fixed player profile corruption problem when ending the game without using the proper quit commands.
  • Fixed boost levels getting stuck on non-stock turbo upgrades.

Notes
  • Tire offset uses a new save format, so there is a possibility the tire offset of your current car are saved in this old format, which could result in weird looking tires. This should resolve by resaving your car in the garage.
  • Photo's are now saved to the "Gallery" folder instead of "Screenshots." If you still have pictures in the old "Screenshots" directory, they will be moved to "Gallery" under a folder named "Old."
  • Photo's are now saved in separate folders depending on the day they were taken, and separated by the time and second they were taken. This allows easy grouping of photos in the gallery folder. (Documents)
  • All photo's are saved in the default 1920x1080 resolution, independent of your game's resolution. The scale multiplier will multiply from the base 1920x1080 resolution.
  • Quickmenu currently doesn't update if there are changes while the menu is open. Can be fixed by re-opening the menu. Small rewrite for the car lights needs to be done.
Age of Conquest IV - noblemaster
A new official map has been released, the map of "Large Europe". The map is still in BETA, i.e. it currently only features 2 scenarios for Anno 1200. More will be added over the coming weeks. Until it is completed, the map is -60% OFF.
