To make the startup process a little less painful, the initial logging and mining sites both allow you to gain resources automatically until your inventory is full - just leave your tractor stationary once you've started the process.
Recent updates have also fixed some intermittent problems with the school buildings and reduced the negative effects of building damage.
The Artifact public beta is starting later today. All attendees from this year's International and everyone who redeemed a beta key will find the game activated in their Steam account.
Since lifting the NDA on the private beta yesterday, there's been an overwhelming amount of feedback on all parts of the game. Much of that feedback has been a clear signal that we underestimated how much interest and excitement the community has around certain features that weren't available in the initial beta build.
We want to take a few minutes to talk about some of those missing features now:
There was no way to do a draft event with friends. We didn't prioritize this play mode, and had planned to enable it sometime after release. We've heard your feedback: drafting with friends is a core part of what you want to spend your time doing in Artifact. In the next Artifact beta build, you can select Call To Arms Phantom Draft in any user-created tournament.
There was no way to practice the draft modes without spending an event ticket. Drafting is incredibly fun, but can also be very intimidating. We agree that it's important to have a way to practice before venturing into a more competitive mode. In the next Artifact beta build, everyone who has claimed their starting content will find a Casual Phantom Draft gauntlet available in the Casual Play section.
There was nothing to do with duplicate starter heroes. We're adding a system that allows extra, unwanted cards to be recycled into event tickets. This feature will ship before the end of the beta period.
The first two changes will be live for everyone when the public beta activates later today. We'll ship the recycling system, as well as other improvements to the beta, over the next week and a half.

Note it’s not a release yet, some of the new features are not fully implemented, UI redesign and class fixes are not finished and new content is not available. Also expect many bugs. Please post them in #bug-reports There will be many small patches next week and then a big 0.4 release.
Killing Deeds
— Express your power by exploiting your fallen enemies, displaying your special Killing Deed! For testing purposes, all deeds are temporarily available for everyone (click Appearance button in lobby to choose it)
General
— Most cooldowns longer than 10-15 seconds slightly reduced. — New Arena mechanic: for every 10% of your health restored with healing abilities, your maximum healable health is reduced by 1% — Stackable slow effects (like Deathly Toads) now correctly update target movement speed when receiving or losing a stack.
CC
— New CC type: Knockdown. It’s similar to stun, but always short and can’t be prevented with abilities like Valor or removed by abilities like Revival. Also, knocked down enemies take 10% more damage but their hitbox is smaller. — Root, Stun, Shock and Knockdown effects are no longer affected by DRs. — Applying an Incapacitate, Fear or Sleep effect reduces the duration of the next effect of the same type applied within 10 seconds by 50% (not stacking). — Shock no longer disables movement, instead, it reduces movement speed by 90% — Applying a shock effect no longer interrupts casting of LMB spells (like Hunting Shot or Light Spike).
Warrior
— Bladewave’s second swing no longer cancels Steelwake — Courageous Leap now has 1 charge, cooldown reduced from 16 to 12 seconds, shock duration increased from 0.8 to 1 second. — Deflection now has 2 charges, duration reduced from 3 to 1 second. Preventing an attack reduces the cooldown by 1 second. — Killing Edge cooldown reduced from 10 to 9 seconds, Swiftness bonus reduced from 20% to 15%.
Wizard
— Conjure Lightning is now a hitscan. — Meteor Strike now knocks down enemies for 1.5 seconds instead of stunning. — Time Distortion duration reduced from 10 to 6 seconds.
Ranger
— Explosive Shot explosion now slows movement speed by 90% for 1.5 seconds instead of stunning. — Bouncing Leap now really breaks defense
Outlaw
— Throw Dirt no longer increases damage taken. — Passivating Strike duration reduced from 4 to 3 seconds. — Bash duration reduced from 4 to 3 seconds. — Stalk now lasts 5 seconds. — Professional Stalker temporarily removed.
Judicator
— Holy Dash no longer resets the cooldown of Righteous Smash, instead, it replaces Righteous Smash with Righteous Knockdown, which deals less damage but knocks enemies down for 1 second. — Sacred Lightning stun duration reduced from 3.5 to 3 seconds.
Cleric
— Faithful Suppression no longer reduces the damage you take in CC. — Angelic Mend cooldown reduced from 10 to 8 seconds, healing reduced from 200 to 150.
Witch
— Cowardice now has 1 charge, duration reduced from 5 to 3 seconds, cooldown reduced from 30 to 15 seconds.
The 1.0.1 patch is half patch, half update. Here's what is different in 1.0.1:
-Multiplayer should now be cross-region! In the interest of transparency regarding this decision:
**This was accomplished by signing everyone on to one server, specifically U.S. East. This server was chosen based on sales data showing that choosing this region will negatively affect the least amount of buyers.
**If/when the game sells enough copies and has enough of an active player base to justify going back to regional mp with a cross-region opt-in we may do so to improve ping (more on that below), but we wanted to make it easier for our players to find multiplayer matches.
**Concerning the lower pings that will inevitably come with this decision, your ping doesn't actually matter that much for this game, as you can't interact with your opponents ball anyway. A lower ping just means it takes up to an extra quarter second for your hit to register on the other players screens. This will not affect the hole timer as that code is handled client side.
- In multiplayer games, you can now spectate the other player(s) after you have finished the hole.
- Fixed a major bug where your ball would easily get stuck on the rocks in Autumn Alcove. Also added some code to detect if your ball is stuck in the rocks, though this should now be an extreme corner case.
-You can now press space on the end hole point tally to instantly show your bonuses and point totals, rather that waiting for the animation to end.
-Minor typo fixes in the interface.
-Fixed lobby auto-refresh bug.
-Removed useless/unused key binding descriptions from launch options.

Hi everyone, please kindly be informed that game update version 0.99.4 has been released.
The major focus of this update is to implement the remaining story development and character conversations. There are quite a few bugs being fixed too.
Although previously thought that the ending should be kept a secret before official launch, but since much efforts and time is required to beat the game, there is no point to hide it if a player has tried so hard to finish the game now.
