Warframe‘s new Fortuna expansion is finally here, providing the perfect excuse for players old and new to dust off their Tenno armour and head out into the never-before-seen frozen wastes of Venus’ Orb Vallis region. It’s the second open world map that’s been added to the game since last year’s Plains of Eidolon update, but given the number of performance issues people encountered the first time they ventured into out onto those titular plains, there’s been much consternation over whether Fortuna will also be too much for some PCs to handle.
Fortunately (sorry), I’m here to help, as I’ve been chucking a bunch of today’s best graphics cards at it, as well as a handful of older ones I’ve got knocking around, to see how it fares. Below, you’ll find everything you need to know on how to get the best settings for Warframe’s Fortuna update, as well as what you need to do in order to squeeze every last drop of performance out of your trusty graphics card.

Crusader Kings 2 has always played fast and loose with historical accuracy, but the random world generator in its next expansion, Holy Fury (due tomorrow) lets Paradox really get wild>. Covered over on PC Gamer by the familiar-sounding Fraser Brown, poking around in the world generation settings can reveal the hidden ‘Animal Kingdom’ option. It replaces most (if not all) humans with talking animals great, small and mythological. Elephant empires, dragon duchies and cat caliphates, oh my. Check out a feature roundup and a YouTuber’s peek at this mode below.

Lunastra is the latest monster in Monster Hunter: World to get a confirmed release date, and it’s relatively soon. Therefore we’re updating our list of currently known events, including the current on-going limited time events and possible future collaborations. Take Ratchet And Clank, duct-tape it to Jet Set Radio, sprinkle with swearing and gore and you’ve got Sunset Overdrive. According to Amazon’s store listing, Insomniac’s platform shooter lands this Friday on PC. Originally one of the Xbox One’s big exclusives, recent signs have indicated a PC launch, but I wasn’t expecting it quite so soon. According to Amazon, it’s published by THQ Nordic, includes all DLC, supports Windows 8, and SteamDB shows an entry for it, suggesting it won’t be limited to the Microsoft Store. No official announcement yet from any party, though.

Power Armor in Fallout is normally reserved for the Brotherhood of Steel, but its existence predates the bombs. That said, being their uniform of sorts, the Power Armor is seen either as a sign of hope or despair, depending on which side of America they’re in. In Fallout 76, the Power Armor is still where it was when the atom bomb dropped, stored away and waiting for those emerging from the vaults to take them. In this guide, I will show you where to find the various Power Armors that have been found so far in the game. (more…)

It’s no secret anymore that Fallout 76 has revamped how Perks work. Instead of choosing one at every level, you collect cards that can be equipped and shared at any point. There are a ton of these in the game, some requiring an increase in rank to get more out of them. This guide will have more on exactly how to obtain them or Perk Card packs, what you need to do to upgrade them, and a full list of all the Perk Cards and their subsequent effects by rank that we know so far. (more…)

You’d imagine that diseases would be more of a problem in the Fallout universe prior to Fallout 76. After all, there are few doctors in the nuclear world of the Fallout universe and the apples are probably incredibly rotten or irradiated by now. But radiation poisoning is just one thing to be aware of now, as other nasty afflictions can include diseases. So you’ll need to take different measures to prevent or cure any disease you may come into contact with. I’ve prepared this guide that details how to prevent contracting a disease, and how to cure them. (more…)
QUICKLY! FOR CRYING OUT LOUD, QUICKLY! I’ve written the charts and there are some jokes and you have to read it!
One of the jokes is quite good!

Since the beta has come and gone, it soon became apparent that Bobbleheads and Magazines work a fair bit differently in Fallout 76. Instead of being permanent upgrade, both Bobbleheads and Magazines are now consumable temporary buffs that provide either increases to your S.P.E.C.I.A.L. stats, or a trait such as weapon specific boost. Since they work slightly differently this time, there are more places that you can find them, this guide will have more on their locations, exactly how to obtain them, and when it is best to collect duplicates. (more…)

With only mere days until the Fallout 76 launch date, everyone who was interested has now had the chance to play the beta and come up with their own thoughts. There’s still a small amount of time until then, so in order to prepare you for Reclamation Day, we’ve prepared this short guide that details Fallout 76’s release date, as well as the system requirements in order to play the game.

You don’t have long to wait until the game officially launches on November 14th. The game will be available either digitally via the Bethesda Launcher, or one of the physical editions. The special “Tricentennial Edition” also includes the following items:
When it is released, you may find yourself wanting to know something specific about the game. I’ve been busy compiling everything I could find about the game. Head to our [cms-block] hub to get started.
Beta saved progress
It may now be over, but those who had played the Fallout 76 beta should be able to carry on when the game launches right where they left off. However, there are reports that those who participated in the beta and want to free up some hard-drive space have fond that they are having a few issues trying to uninstall the game. No official word on that specific detail. but Bethesda are saying that the game will have a “small update to their existing B.E.T.A. download to prepare them for November 14.” For Matthew’s impressions of the beta and trying to play the game solo, have a butchers at the video above.

Whether you are playing either the beta or the full game on its release date, they both have the exact same system requirements. In the official FAQ for the Fallout 76 beta, the file size of the beta version is 45GB, though the full version of the game will extend this to 60GB via a 15GB update in the Bethesda Launcher.
Performance is going to be a rather big factor, so you’ll want to get the best frame rates possible. In order to give you a threshold as to the performance you can expect from your system, I’ve put both the minimum and recommended specs in full below:
