Hey everyone!

Beta 19.4 is now out! This one should include a fix for those of you who have reported performance issues while playing in VR. Additionally it contains a few other fixes and additions.

We also tweaked the Auxiliary Reactor, making each option more powerful across the board, and added an Intruder Alert function. The Intruder Alert function should hopefully improve feedback about when the fight might be becoming more personal. For those of you who want to prevent enemies from boarding your ship (besides keeping your shield integrity up), you can pick up the new program “Quantum Defenses” which should ensure your quantum shields are online for a few crucial moments.

Additions
- Added more feedback for players when they try to customize their appearance or bot appearances, letting them know to visit a barber.
-Players can now upgrade maneuvering thrusters and inertia thrusters
-Main turrets can now be extracted
-Ship thrusters can now be extracted
-New Program: Quantum Defenses - Keeps your quantum shields online regardless on shield integrity or viruses (like gentlemens welcome) for 30 seconds. As long as a ship’s quantum shields are online, no enemies should be able to teleport.
-New NPC uniform - Human Male and Female Scientist
-New NPC uniform - Human Male and Female CU High Ranking Officer

Changes
-Extraction success rates have been slightly reduced
-Tweaked the WD HQ Station galaxy map
-Shield coprocessor charge rate has been increased

Aux Reactor Changes
-Auxiliary reactors values have been standardized based on the Intrepid
-Spotlights and Interior lights have been merged and are now named Lights
-Intruder Alarm has been added, it alerts the crew when enemies teleport onboard. It will flash a crew-wide announcement as well as add a notification to the chat box. If disabled it could provide 400 MW to the reactor.
The following information is based on an Intrepid-class ship from Beta 19.3.
-Aux Values - Atrium Healing increased from 400 to 600
-Aux Values - Oxygen Generation increased from 800 to 2000
-Aux Values - Air Filter increased from 400 to 1000
-Aux Values - Spotlights and Interior lights increased from 500 (together to 1000)
-Aux Values - Projectile Aim Assist increased from 200 to 400
-Aux Values - Cyberdefense increased from 800 to 2000
-Aux Values - Missile Lock On increased from 100 to 1200

Fixes
-Fixed a lighting issue found on Outpost 448 that would occur on lower graphics settings
-Engineering fires should now be properly displaying on the status screen, and should properly damage the engine system.
-Fixed a few issues found at WD HQ
-Fixed a bug that would occasionally allow The Swarm to drop its hull component
-Fixed a networking issue related to the Captain plotting courses on the starmap
-Fixed a sound issue regarding ship damage
-Fixed an issue with an abandoned ship not appearing
-Fixed an issue that reduced performance in VR over several minutes
-Fixed an issue related to bots getting stuck while trying to repair a system on certain ships



Beta 19.5 Release Notes

Beta 19.5 is out! This is a quick update to address some of the changes we released earlier.

Changes
-The researchable Aux Power talent’s bonus has been reduced from 40% per rank to 10%

Aux Reactor Changes
-Aux Values - Oxygen Generation decreased from 2000 to 1000
-Aux Values - Air Filter decreased from 1000 to 400
-Aux Values - Spotlights and Interior lights decreased from 1000 to 600

Beta 19.6 Release Notes

Beta 19.6 is out! This is just an update to fix a save issue that popped up. While working on Beta 20 we’ve been building a few new systems that involved the save-file format. Some of that code wasn’t ready to handle a pre-Beta 20 Release. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Possession - weirdfellows

Sorry for the radio silence. This summer has been crazy busy for me. I moved, and then spent almost as much time out of town as I did in town.


But I'm happy to announce that as of yesterday, Possession is finally gameplay complete!


Now, it's not ready for release yet, because there are still some things that need to be done (some sounds, music, and achievements, for example), but it's ready to be sent out for gameplay testing and bug hunting!


It may still be a week or two before I send the game out to testers. I have to get the distributables together, and I want to run through it one more time to make sure nothing immediately horrible stands out, but I'm ready to start putting together a list of testers.


Testing will be unpaid, but testers who provide solid and detailed feedback will have their name in the credits, and receive a free copy of the game upon release.


Expectations for beta testers:

I will provide a feedback form, and I expect the testers to try and play through the game multiple times (not necessarily all the way through, since it is a permadeath game, but at least multiple runs), trying to do weird things and break as much as possible. Provided I manage to get the beta out in the next week or so, I'd like to have feedback in by the end of September.

Star Traders: Frontiers - Trese Brothers

Update #102 releases a slew of new components to increase ship design flexibility, a new Javat-only ship, a small set of fixes to the new starport filters, and a lovely package of bug fixes and quality of life improvements. Here at Trese Brothers HQ, we are hard at work on the first major dev roadmap item, hammering away on all the exciting Orbital Rumors and Salvage opportunities. It will feel good to burn down the first item from the new roadmap!


Tiberian Highliner
Javat's first faction-specific ship takes to the stars! The Tiberian Highliner is a heavily shielded transport ship with a large crew and long travel range. Fitted with passenger cabins and prison cells, the Tiberian functions as a long distance cruiser for Clan Javat.

As with all Faction-specific ships, the Tiberian Highliner requires at least Military Rank 4 to purchase.

Cargo and Fuel
With Update #102, we've added 2 new small size options to increase your cargo or fuel capacity. In conjunction with an increase of cargo capacity for both Storage Hold and Storage Cache, those captains looking for extra flexibility in ways to use small slot cargo or squeeze a little more cargo or fuel capacity into their ship have an expanded set of options.

We've also added Reinforced Barracks 4 option, which brings both Shield and Armor to the table and rebalanced the Jump Cost penalties for all Reinforced Barracks.


Starport Filter/Sort
Following the last major update to the starport, we've improved a few of the default filtering and sorting rules. Those components that are faction-specific to your local faction now appear without any need to change the filtering. We've also modified the faction sort routine to place faction-specific items first and not last.


Little Things
We continue to focus on the big items, but make time each week to work on the little items as well. To make map seed sharing easier and faster, we've added a copy seed button to each captain's description when you're picking a captain to load. We've done some work to improve and focus the descriptions of each starting profession and improved screen elements and how they are scaled on larger screens.

Finally, we're always looking to add any illogical Trait combinations to the exclusion tables. Thanks to the players who sent in a few of these -- they have been cut out for future possible mutations.

Doodle Date - Nick Lives


Hey everyone! Many of you have asked since launch whether or not there would be additional content coming to the game, and today I'm excited to announce a FREE expansion - The Investigation - is coming soon!

The Investigation is a whole new chapter to Doodle Date, taking place after the events of the main game. It will star a whole new protagonist, new and returning love interests to pursue, and of course many more doodling opportunities and surprises!

The latest patch has just been released - see the full list of additions & fixes below:

New features and changes
  • We have changed the way locations are loaded, this should improve the load speed and decrease the freezes.

  • Optimizations of different locations: Southern Bay Pier, Lighthouse, Ray-2, Mokhpererabotka Station, Oasis, P.I.T. and many small changes of the southern part of the island. This is not the last patch with optimizations, the work will continue.


  • New side quest “Church”. You can get it from Michael in Oasis. It is available after you finish the “Podzemka” quest.

  • On the status screen you can see how much health, water or food will be given by the selected item.

  • Updated the visuals of the “Tesla” modification.

  • Oasis is populated by neutrals only.

  • If an NPC can be interacted with during a quest, you can see it in the UI now.

  • Maniac is 50% stronger now.

  • Increased the rewards for the Hunter.

Fixes
  • Engineer requests the correct number of items for the “Podzemka” quest.

  • There was no description of the available actions with the locked containers — fixed.

  • Weight of boxes was too big — fixed.

  • Sergei’s diary was added into the inventory during the quest “Madness” — fixed.

  • When interacting with a retranslator the craft window opened — fixed.

  • Markers for the craft benches, monoliths and retranslators quests are updated.

  • Added quest markers to the side quests.

  • Experience gains were displayed not correctly — fixed.

  • Some enemies had wrong reactions to the weapon modifications — fixed.

  • There was a bug when players could kill the Maniac before they received the task — fixed.

  • Main quest had to be chosen again in the journal after a task was finished — fixed.

  • Effects on the status screen stayed after the end of duration — fixed.

  • There was a problem with the legs of the character when he was standing near a wall — fixed.

Warrior
— Courageous Leap now has 2 charges and costs 15 stamina (was 20).
— Deflection now also reduces the damage you take by 20%.
— Endurance now absorbs damage equal to 30% of your maximum health and reduces the duration of crowd control effects applied to you by 20%. Lasts 6 seconds. 30 sec cd.
— Desperate Measures no longer increases Courageous Leap damage. Now it also has a second effect: When your health drops below 35%, all your cooldowns are instantly reset. This effect has a 60 sec cooldown.
— Bashing Momentum no longer stops Steelwake animation.
— Deflection now correctly negates melee attacks and no longer allows them to trigger additional effects.

Outlaw
— Slash'n'Stab base damage reduced from 400 to 300, Stab bonus reduced from 40% to 30%.
— Murder duration reduced from 3 to 2 seconds, damage increased from 240 to 300 per hit.
— Poison Bomb damage reduced from 300 to 250 per tick.
— Malicious Poison damage increased from 30 to 50 per stack
— Patient Assassin now deals Physical damage, stacks slower and can’t crit. Instead, if the source melee attack crits, 2 stacks are consumed. Base damage reduced from 180 to 40, but the stack bonus increased from 10% to 40%.
— Professional Stalker now reduces Stalk cooldown by 10 seconds and extends its duration if used in combat to 10 seconds. Also increases your movement speed by extra 40% and makes you immune to all negative effects in the first 2 seconds of stalking.
— New mastery Ambusher: You deal 30% more damage while stalking and 6 seconds after your stalk fades.
— New prime Dirty Tricks: Turns your Hack into Passivating Strike, Slash'n'Stab into Ambush and resets the cooldown of Bash. 20 sec cd.

Judicator
— Heaven's Favor healing increased from 200 to 300 per tick.
— Protect the Innocent now increases your healing by 20% and by up to 40% more depending on the target's health. The lower the health, the higher the bonus.
— Diving Reckoning now has no global cooldown and also instantly deals 1000 Holy damage to enemies within 10 meters. Damage bonus reduced from 30% to 20%, cooldown reduced from 60 to 40 seconds.
— Enigmatic Protection cooldown reduced from 45 to 40 seconds, radius slightly increased.

Witch
— Witch now starts with 5 tokens and regens a token once per 10 sec out of combat.
— Malice now correctly deals its base damage.
— Soul Harvest’s orbs now can be consumed by enemies. They will take 1000 Shadow damage and get their damage reduced by 10% for 10 seconds.
— Forbid Soil duration reduced from 10 to 6 seconds.
