As you might have noticed we went into full-on stealth work mode, and haven`t release any new updates for well over a month. And after countless work days we are finally ready to set a reease date for the upcoming update.

This will be our biggest update for MKW ever, and will completely transform the experience. We were planning to release this update in two parts, but instead decided to release it all at once at the very end of September.

So lets go over the main features of this awesome update.

DirectX 11 & new game engine
As of you might know - we have been working on this for nearly a year. This is a total engine rewrite, including updating the graphics code from DirectX9 to 11, among so many other things. And while you will only notice a small difference in graphics for now (we still need to enable all the cool DX11 effects and filters), but the difference in performance is huge! In addition we have fixed numerous startup issues with the game that effected some players for years. And finally - we are adding option to play the game in windowed mode and to change resolution right in the main options menu.

Story Driven Tutorial Campaign
One of the main problems for MKW was terrible on-boarding experience with a nearly useless tutorial. Over a third of all new players never got to finish the tutorial and would give up on the game. We decided to take the most radical solution, and come up with one of the best tutorials seen in the genre.

A full feature tutorial campaign with 9 scenarios covering almost every aspect of gameplay. I`m sure even our veterans will learn a few things. And instead of a long dry tutorial, we decided to go all the way - and create a story driven campaign, with complex plot and hundreds of lines of fully voiced dialogue, historically accurate narrative and beautiful cinematics. For these of you who might have played KW2B campaign - it`s similar, but taken to the next level.

And with this update we`ll be releasing this tutorial campaign in full, with English voice acting.


And in conclusion - once again I hope our loyal and hardcore fans will forgive us this delay. We are almost there:)

Anyone can download the game client and take part in a never-ending battle for dominance of the skies in just half a minute after launching the game. Persistence and good playing skills allow you to get to the aircraft of any type and tier without spending a penny on it. However, with the help of small financial investments – microtransactions – you can make your life in World of Warplanes more comfortable and pleasant. Sometimes it happens that the needed modules or aircraft have already been researched, and there is not enough credits for purchasing them. Of course, you may play several more matches and accumulate a sufficient number of credits. But the more rapid and convenient way is to transfer gold to credits and then go to the store for a shiny new thing.



The aircraft, which has all the modules and the model following it in the tech tree line researched, acquires an elite status. The experience gained on an elite aircraft accumulates after each battle. You can exchange this experience for a free one for gold and use it for researching any other aircraft.



Premium planes are combat vehicles that do not need any research, and they are only available for gold. These planes do not give a decisive advantage in battles, they do not have superpowerful guns or impenetrable armor, but the revenue per combat on such a technique is higher than on researchable machines of the same tier. In addition, experience from premium airplanes can be immediately exchanged for free one.



When buying new airplane, you hire a crew who will be responsible for flying the aircraft and for firing at the enemy. The effectiveness of your plane in battle depends on the skills of the crew. You can choose the crew who passed the basic training (50% level of proficiency in the main specialization) for free or hire graduates of the training wing (75% level of proficiency in the main specialization) for credits. With the help of gold, you can invite a crew who has been trained in the combat wing and has a 100% level of proficiency in the main specialization. In this case, your aircraft will be the most effective from the very first battle.



Each member of the crew is specially trained for flights on a certain aircraft. If you want to assign him to another plane, he will have to retrain. There are several courses of retraining. The training wing and basic training will help retrain the crew members to new aircraft, but a certain percentage of professional experience will be lost. You can train the crew for other aircraft without losing experience, choosing the courses of combat wing. In this case, the earned experience of the crew that you assign to a new airplane will be completely preserved.



All slots in Hangar are occupied with the planes that you love, but you really want to buy a new plane or even several? Buy extra Hangar slots for gold and expand your fleet.



Consumables are used during the battle to repair damaged modules, treat injured crew members or improve equipment performance. In World of Warplanes, there are standard and premium consumables. Premium consumables are more efficient and can be purchased for gold.



You can always expand the barracks for gold so that it has a place for new pilots.



Paint schemes in World of Warplanes is a coloring that can be applied to a plane, giving it a 15% bonus to camouflage. This bonus is valid only if the type of paint schemes corresponds to the type of map on which it is used. There are 4 types of coloring: summer, winter, desert and sea. The necessary paint schemes will be automatically applied to the airplane (if it is purchased) before the fight, depending on the type of map. You can apply paint schemes for a certain time – for credits, or forever - for gold.



You have the option to customize your plane, applying one of the proposed decorations on its nose. You can buy nose art and emblems for a certain time - for credits, and forever - for gold.

thanks for all your comments, feedback, discussions and suggestions that you posted during the last week here on Steam and other platforms! This FAQ should cover the most asked questions that you had regarding Enderal, Forgotten Stories and the Steam release.

Enderal is a total conversion for TES V: Skyrim: a free game based on Skyrim's engine. It features a new game world, complete with different regions and dungeons and its own lore and story. It offers an immersive open world, all for the player to explore, overhauled skill systems and gameplay mechanics and a dark, psychological storyline with multi-faceted and believable characters.
You can check out some details and background info about Enderal and its predecessors on our website.

Enderal was already released in summer 2016 and will be re-released on Steam on February 14 2019.

First and foremost you will need a legal copy of Skyrim Classic or Skyrim Legendary Edition in Steam (no official DLCs needed).
It doesn't need to be installed, it's enough to own it.
Now simply download Enderal via Steam and launch it and you are ready to go!

Enderal will not work with Skyrim Special Edition (SSE). We might be able to port Enderal to SSE once development and bugfixing is finished, we simply can't split forces now.

Localizations for other languages will be available as soon as we send out the files to the localization teams and they have finished their work. This means that most likely only the English and German version will be available on release and other versions will be added later.

The Steam installation allows for a lot of cool, new features:

• Easy and fast download, install and update directly via Steam
  
• Enderal will have own game directory and won't share .ini files with Skyrim
  
• Own save game directory and enabled Steam Cloud for save games
  
• Build-in ENBoost and other stability fixes
  
• Steam achievements for Enderal

But the most interesting point is "Forgotten Stories" that will be included in the Steam release of Enderal.

Forgotten Stories is a free DLC/Add-On/Expansion pack for Enderal that will add content cut from the initial release version.

It also adds a new, hidden ending and new classes built around crafting rather than combat skills.

Make sure to read through the announcement in our forums.

An installation via the Steam Workshop would mess around with your original Skyrim installation. The Store page allows to be a sperate installation, independent from Skyrim.

Yes, but ...

In terms of texture improvements, Enderal is already heavily modded from the get-go. It also already comes with SkyUI, SKSE and many more mods, so check out the credits.txt for a full list. Enderal also alters a lot of Skyrim's game-play mechanics and even introduces new features.

Every mod that is specifically designed to alter an existing Skyrim record won't work most likely. There is a mod category for Enderal on the Nexus as well as a Compatible Mods Spreadsheet.
Still, a little warning: these mods might not be updated to the newest version of Enderal, be careful and read the descriptions!

If you've got a good mod setup working, you might wonder if you will be able to use it with the Forgotten Stories DLC installed. Forgotten Stories will change quite some aspects of Enderal, especially the crafting skills as well as interweaving new quests with old quests.
We recommend to check out Enderal: Forgotten Stories without mods first and add later upon it.

We highly recommend starting a new playthrough to get the best, full and most bug-free experience. Generally speaking, old saves can be loaded but some major content can't be experienced due to technical reasons.
We won't be able to fix bugs that are caused due to the "age" of a save.

No, the Forgotten Stories DLC will be only available via the Steam Installation of Enderal due to technical difficulties. We will not update the installation packages on NexusMods, ModDB, etc. We will leave them as they are, so the current installation method will still be available after the Steam release. However, we won't be able to support it any further. We highly recommend using the Steam version as soon as it's available.
These non-Steam installation packages might get updated at the very end of the development cycle, no promises though.

First of all, make sure that the bug isn't caused by any additional mods that you have installed. If you are rather unsure if you encountered a bug or feature, don't hesitate to ask in the Community Hub, our forums or Discord.
The best place to report a bug to is our bug tracker. Click "Report Issue" in the top right corner and fill the form. Please always attach a save game (.ess file and .skse file) that was created before the bug happened and describe to us how we are able to reproduce the bug.
Keep an eye on the ticket if we need further information regarding the issue or create an account at the bug tracker and report it while being logged in, you will get email notifications about every action that will be performed on your report.
Keep in mind that we are only so many active developers and we can't reply to every ticket immediately. Please be patient.
