We’ve got a small update for you today, and a tease on a new feature that’s to come that many people have requested.
First, the update. Thanks to everyone who reached out regarding their experiences with the DisconnectByClientTimeout error during game load. We’ve made some even deeper adjustments, and after extensive testing: we’re happy to release it.
Fixes/Changes
Further work on the DisconnectByClientTimeout error when loading an online game
Fixed a game hang where a character who was poisoned dies in a dungeon without any lives left, but still has a sanctum would not get revived, and cause an endless loop of autosaving and turn switching

Yup: Weapon Switching in Combat will be a thing!
Any character with an additional weapon in his inventory will have the new icon and option available
You’ll be able to pick your desired weapon from a list to equip it
This action will take a full combat turn but will still permit belt item use
This isn’t the only thing we’re working on, of course. But we’re not ready to reveal major details on the next major update.
Hey! We are introducing a new update, which is mainly focused on the optimization and bugfixing, because the Community was asking for it recently.
In addition, this is a version that will help you in waiting for something huge that we are currently working on. Most of the features are focused on making the game more playable.
This version is already available on the public beta branch. There's a common glitch which only occurs if there are many players on the server - that's why we need you in order to fix it. Unfortunately, there's only a Windows compilation available to download.
Changes:
-Interface Rework! - New inventory, healthbar, in-game menu and player list!
-Support for more aspect ratios! Including 21:9 and 5:4!
-Elevator buttons! Nothing important but.. it's still something! It looks better and shows the current status of the elevator.
-Remote Admin improvements - the tool for server owners; some bug fixes and other improvements. For example: added some visual improvements, added "Enter" key functionality, added large data printer (using QR code), further details in "player info" command, teleportation commands, intercom events, server-wide mutes or intercom mutes.
-Changed grenades mechanics - now you can break more doors, even if you don't have a proper keycard.
-Security improvements - footsteps & fall damage were moved to the server-side code, which means it is no longer possible to make cheats related to these features. We also made a simple fly-hack anti-cheat.
-Overall server logging improvements.
-Added an option to hide global badges by default on your server.
-Fixed a glitch that made glass & blood invisible.
-Overall C.A.S.S.I.E. improvements - changed some effects and expanded the word base.
-Added more breakable windows and doors.
-Performance improvements - we adjusted some default settings, in my case I got about 30% more frames per second.
IGN stopped by our booth in the PAX10 to try out our demo we had at PAXWest. It was great to meet with them and discuss Praey for the Gods. We were so surprised and excited when they did a follow up video on their play through.
We are happy to being with you with our new update. We belive that Degeneration became more enjoyable and more easy to play now. What have we changed;
-We realized that puzzles of shopping mall is too complicated. So new version of it is much easer and much focused on story instead of complicated puzzles.
-We have added "New game" and "Continue" buttons on main menu.
