We are proud to announce that the third DLC for X-Morph: Defense - Last Bastion is now available! Check out the new trailer for The Last Bastion below: https://youtu.be/z6yT2fDHJTQ “Last Bastion” features a brand new, story-driven mini-campaign that takes place after the events of the main game. The action take place on 4 islands, each with unique features. Chop down massive baobab trees in the Madagascar, slalom among the Moai on Easter Island, reshape the environment in sunny Indonesia and try not to melt in rivers of lava on Iceland. 4 new enemy types round up the package, ensuring that the X-Morph: Defense storyline gets the finale it deserves.
Together with the DLC, we are also releasing a huge free update to the base game that adds new advanced tower types and multiple improvements.
The full list of changes includes:
3 new towers: - Railgun tower - a powerful advanced laser tower that can shoot through enemies and environmental obstacles. - Flame Artillery tower - an advanced artillery tower that shoots three projectiles that ignite everything they hit. - Shockwave tower - an advanced tower type that emits powerful shockwaves which deal damage to all enemies within its radius. These towers are available in all game modes including the main story campaign and survival mode. They change a lot in how you can play the game. Their addition makes a new playthrough definitely worthwhile.
4 new enemy types: - Vulture Gunship - Manticore EMP tank - Ravager missile launcher - Tortuga shield generator
Added all Last Bastion content to the Level Editor. You can use the new textures, buildings, and enemies inside your levels. The resulting creations won’t require other players to own the Last Bastion DLC.
Added audio compression for music and voice-overs resulting in a ~1.5GB smaller game installation size.
Optimized memory usage.
Multiple obscure crash bug fixes.
Slight performance improvements.
Fixed audio problems on some speaker configurations (too much bass).
We hope this new update will be as fun for you to play as it was for us to develop. It is a real pleasure to develop new features and we are always open to your feedback. Let us know if you like the game on our social media channels and discord server!
Our very own energetic Romina has decided to take over the shop for the weekend! She said she has had enough of sinister clothes and armor - after all, she likes to dress up in the brightest colors you can find and wants to bring back some of the summery feeling since it has been raining for the last days!
So she just went ahead and...of course...put all our pink and purple items up in the shop with a glittery reduction! That cheeky girl! Well, enjoy the weekend and don't be afraid to wear bold pink on your adventures! Some enemies might fall in love with you there and then...while others might run away in fear.

Updates

Skeletons in crafted 50-point dungeons are no longer labeled “footman”
Tier 3 Archer Skeletons now have more hit points than mages.

Known Issues
Elysian Illumination no longer damages undead, and has a broken range for applying heals.
The in-game map (M key shortcut) cannot be accessed on Linux clients.
Party/Companion nameplates can be visually obscured if enough buffs are added for icons to wrap to three rows.
Visual quest indicators may be missing from compass. Adding the data to support them is an ongoing design process.
Dazzling Rays, and other caster-based AOE spells, have difficulty hitting nearby enemies in confined spaces (like narrow hallways)
Pets cannot follow players onto moving platforms.
If an item’s name is in Runic, its flag as “Private Property” will also appear in Runic.
Players with Tenant permissions on a Lot cannot place their own Player Vendors.
Some decorations placed in basements may shift through walls and end up in inaccessible locations.
Players may be unable to interact with objects via double-click if their framerate is poor. A workaround is to use the “E” interaction key.
Some spell VFX do not play properly
Some textures may look incorrect due to optimizations (white, black, pink, low resolution, pixelated, etc.)
Water lots in Dynamic Player Owned Towns can currently only be placed along shorelines, not on docks
Some pledge, add on, and stretch goal items have not yet been built and/or do not yet have tech support.
Some virus programs with outdated libraries may attempt to quarantine essential game files, mistakenly identifying them as threats. This can have significant effects, including the client not starting at all. We recommend keeping antivirus programs updated frequently as they address problems. Workarounds include reinstalling and launching the client with the aggressive antivirus software disabled, or whitelisting the game directory in the antivirus list of exceptions.
