The story is a unique and more mature take on a forgotten fairytale that includes many twists and choices that affect the ending: the princess can either escape with her servant, become a fairy, or die a horrible death. Multiple times. It's up to you to save...or doom her.

With the August Assassin update only a few days away, we wanted to give you a look at what’s in store for you! In addition to the new class, the Siege of Castra and Dominion Contract/Capital War content will be available.

Assassin Class

With this next big update coming August 8, we will be adding the Assassin class! Players of both factions will be able to play as the Assassin. On Hieron, the Habicht, Sylvan Elf, and Mascu can take on the role. On Union, the Amistad, Aqua Elf, Pantera, and Mascu are able to try their hands at assassination.

In addition to these faction and race options for the Assassin, players will be happy to know that the class is compatible with both action-targeting and tab-targeting combat modes.

This new class will have many fun new skills and stances for players to experience. Different stances encourage different styles of play, such as the Assassinate stance that increases damage dealt when the target is attacked from behind, or the Poison stance that deals additional damage to enemies afflicted with Poison or Venom! Each Assassin player will want to try a variety of tactics to see what they like the best.

The recommended equipment for Assassins will be the dagger and either Light or Medium armor. For wearing armor suitable for their class, Assassins will get certain bonuses depending on how many pieces of suitable armor they are wearing and what level they are. For example, an Assassin above level 30 who is wearing all Light armor will get bonuses to Dodge Rate, Fighting Power, Critical Hit Damage, and Critical Hit Rate.


Dominion Contract/Capital War

We’ll also be introducing Dominion Contract and Capital War! A Dominion Contract is a the contract that grants the authority to rule a specific territory within a faction. Dominion Contract bidding periods last for 40 minutes, and only guild leaders are able to place bids using Guild Influence. The guild leader that has the most Guild Influence wins the bid will become a Lord, and they and their guild will be eligible to participate in the Capital War. Those who lose the bid will get back 90% of the Guild Influence used in bidding.

Dominion Contract and Capital War will each be held once every two weeks, alternating every Saturday (for example, if the first and third Saturdays were Capital War days, then the second and fourth Saturdays in a month would have Dominion Contract instead). The times for Dominion Contract is as follows:
  • NA: 18:00~18:40 (PDT)
  • EU:21:00~21:40 (CEST)

The available territories to bid on for Hieron are Lupuscana, Floren, Marta, Curia, and Ostium. The available territories for Union are Navarra, Migdal, Campagna, Terny, and Shaqqara.

Guilds also earn a reward of 2000 Reign Points per territory won through a Dominion Contract bid, and they will earn 1000 Reign Points per day each day that they occupy a territory. While the territory is under their control, Guilds will also get additional benefits, and will be able to earn up to 3000 Reign Points per day depending on the amount of EXP, Combat Points, and Dungeon Points within the occupied territory.

The Capital War is the battle that determines who holds the top rank of Protector Marshall or High Praetor, depending on the faction.

Of course, only guilds that own territories are able to participate. These intense fights take place over the course of 45 minutes, during which time players must either protect or attack the important Guardian Statue. The guild that is able to both successfully attack and defend the statue is granted 20,000 Reign Points and other rewards such as temporary prestige mount costumes.

The schedule of Capital War is as follows:
  • NA 18:00~18:45 (PDT)
  • EU 21:00~21:45 (CEST)

Siege of Castra

Players will also be able to experience the new large scale PvP content Siege of Castra during its scheduled times after this update! Capping at a maximum of 70v70, Siege of Castra will pit players of Hieron and Union factions against each other in a heated battle for victory.

During Siege of Castra, players will fight to defeat the opposing faction’s Lord Commander within a 30 minute time limit. While players on both sides of the battle will earn Combat Points for participation, the winning side will be more heavily rewarded.

The Siege of Castra is scheduled to take place four times daily:
  • NA - 10:00 / 14:00 / 19:00 / 22:00 (PDT)
  • EU - 01:00 / 13:00 / 17:00 / 22:00 (CEST)

Update announcement:

In the process of writing the manual,
found that VRM SDK has some problem of the compatibility with converting from fbx to vrm of unity 2017 .
Although it does not affect the VRM those had been successfully converted
But to avoid potential compatibility issues and to unify the version,
I think its time to updated engine version to Unity 2018.2.1f1.

The assetbundle build by Unity 2017 can no longer be used.
Must build assetbundle again by using Unity 2018.
The building steps is the same.
If this makes you feeling annoying, please forgive me.

New Features/Improvements:

  • Buying an expansion DLC like Fall of Everlife now directly rewards you with 5 Battle Chests, plus 5 more when the other half of cards are released. These chests are guaranteed to contain DLC cards until you own 20 copies of these (until 40 for the second batch of chests). Players who already bought the DLC will receive 5 Battle Chests retroactively.
  • People who purchase the Premium DLC when already owning it (due to spending more than 40$ before Faeria 2.0) will now receive 5000 gems. This is applied retroactively.
  • Lore daily quests are now rerollable and are guaranteed to reroll into another lore daily quest
  • Players now immediately receive a lore daily quest when unlocking the Lore Book
  • While editing a deck, you can now go over the 30 card limit (up to 50). You can save your deck with more than 30 cards, but the game will handle it as an invalid deck.
  • All decks are now clickable in deck selection screens, but a notification message will be displayed if the deck can not be played (such as if the deck does not have exactly 30 cards)
  • AI now defends better against Corrupt units
  • The short zoom-in animation when a game begins has been restored
  • Improved the readability of the status in Crucible lobbies
  • Friend suggestions are now listed below online friends
  • Credits finally made their way into the game! You can find them on the home screen, in the bottom right corner.

Bugfixes:

  • Fixed a problem where Oversky cards were not always properly awarded (collections of people who had the bug were updated with the cards they should have received)
  • Fixed a crash that could appear when a game ended
  • Fixed a crash that sometimes occured in private and tournament lobbies
  • Deck names are no longer shown to spectators in the Crucible lobby deck selection screen anymore
  • Crucible lobby faeria average values have been corrected (it was only counting each card once)
  • Fixed the game request notification that was popping up when opening the friend list with a pending request
  • Fixed inconsistencies in lobbies when someone was disconnected from the game after losing connection
  • Fixed the lobby "Ready" button that could not be clicked in tournament lobbies after clicking back before starting a game
  • Fixed some translation issues
  • Fixed an issue where lore daily quests would not refresh every day
  • The chest opening screen no longer prompts you to go to the shop anymore when you're out of chests
  • Divine VFX is now a bit smaller
  • Fixed cards like Explorers and Dark Stalker that would not have their abilities triggering correctly when they are added to your hand
