We just had to go with the cherry red color - it actually looks like an LP-shaped cherry candy. Chuchel would eat that, but you probably shouldn't. Just playing it is sweet too, though!

Far Cry® 5 - UbiDomZ


Hello Far Cry Map builders,

For the next three weeks, we'll be holding a new Map Jam! Using the FC5 Map Editor, we want you to create an Outpost map using the new Hours of Darkness assets to recreate a Vietnam atmosphere.

How to Participate?

  • Publish your FC5 map between June 13th and June 28th.
  • The name of your map should start with “MJ5 - nameofmap”.
  • Only maps with the OUTPOST game mode will be accepted.
  • Third-party Mods are not allowed.
  • You are free to create on any platform. Note that PC builders and Console builders will be split into 2x separate categories.
  • Your map should highlight your vision of a Vietnam setting. Using the new Hours of Darkness assets will help you, but you can also use all the assets available in the Editor.
  • You can publish additional screenshots and videos to further promote your map.
  • If you wish to pro-actively send us links to your images or videos, use Twitter (hashtag #FCMapJam) or email us (farcrycommunity@ubisoft.com).


Rules

  • Only ONE map creation can be submitted per person. This includes all platforms (so choose wisely).
  • Only ONE map creator per map will be taken into consideration. If you choose to collaborate on creating a map, understand that only the player that submits the map will be acknowledge as the creator.
  • HAVE FUN! – We cannot stress this one enough. This is what Map Jams are about.

Solace Crafting - Malkere
A couple more fixes for some new problems with towers that showed up with the latest changes.

Trees in general have been adjusted a bit, so it's possible you might have a new pet tree in your living room if you built somewhere you had previously cleared of trees. Forest locations haven't changed, but their internal math has a bit.

Tower spawn rate has also been quadrupled! These are in truth still a bit of a placeholder as they are the only "medium" encounter in game right now. When more make their way in they will talk amongst themselves as to who gets to show up. Currently there is also a known bug of towers under water showing up on the map, but they are smart enough to realize they're underwater and don't actually generate themselves. The map isn't recognizing they've turned themselves off unfortuantely. I will fix that tomorrow though.

Thank you for all the reports and screenshots! They very much help me fix things.

- Increased tower spawn chance from 25% per square kilometer to 100% (if above water)
- Fixed towers not generating themselves
- Fixed the facility upgrade interface breaking
- Thinned/spread out grass and mountain forests
- Separated grass and mountain forests more pointedly
- Fixed mountain trees from being able to spawn underwater where ocean and mountain biomes clash
- Further restricted mountain ferns and rocks to the mountain biome
- Now preventing resources from spawning on slopes greater than 50 degrees (could cause false scan reports on the map in steep areas that have already been visited, not from here on though)

You may need to restart Steam for the update to begin.

To opt into Beta you only need to go to your Steam Library, right-click on Solace Crafting, select Properties, click on the Beta tab, and opt-in to the beta.

Vantage: Primitive Survival Game - Vantage Dev

This last week I mainly focused on PR, press releases. and general advertising of the game. I participated in a couple of giveaways as well.

The response to the game has been amazing so far. People are truly enjoying the game and its game play concept!

For the following weeks I will be going back to focusing on optimization, and I will also be beginning the development of the next round of content for the game.

Also, stay tuned, there will more music added to the game soundtrack very soon!
