After 2 months of optimization, Onmyoji finally finishes Early Access period and becomes a free-to-play game. We sincerely appreciate all the support from EA period and also welcome all new Onmyoji fans to join in this legendary journey.

Onmyoji is a turn-based fantasy strategy game with PVP or PVE battles, where you can raise and strengthen your beloved Shikigami to build your dream tactical team and defeat various demons to become the ultimate Onmyoji. Cross-platform playing is available for both Steam and English mobile versions.

During Early Access, we received a lot of constructive feedback from our community, which helps us to improve the Steam Version. We have optimized AR amulet summon and sharing function via social media, synchronizing the experience between both mobile and PC. We are also exploring Steam platform functions such as trading card and achievements to bring extra fun to our players. However, we do not hesitate our pace to perfect the game. Recently, we are focusing on improving the compatibility and developing the full-screen function. Hope to bring you more inspiring updates before long.

The Full Release is just another starting point. We still wish to hear from our community about players’ expectations, wishes, and suggestions. We will do our best to give all Onmyoji-Samas the greatest Onmyoji experience.

Yes, its here. It took 22 months to get to this point and release version 1.0 of Blasted Road Terror. Before anything else, i would like to say thank you, all of you who supported the game in early access, or even earlier by purchasing the game, commenting or participating in any other way.

Its birth was painful and complicated. I even had to start over after couple of months of development as source files got corrupted and i literaly felt as every piece of the universe is telling me: "Abandon this, it will be disaster.". But well, im not used to change my opinions very often and after roughly 2000 hours of work, the game is finally here and ready to be played.

Trading cards
Yes, we finally have trading cards! And you know what? We ve got smaileys too!

Near future of BRT
Right now i will take roughly week off, but dont worry, i will still keep a look on community center for bug reports and suggestions and will be preparing stuff for next update while replying to your questions.

What additions you might expect in future updates? Well, i would love to add third MCV, Tier 2 vehicles, More and bigger weapons, more minifactions like cannibals and killer cops, another item rarity level for those who make it past end of the road.....

There is a lot of it what can be added, and i belive, with your continuous support, it will be added.

Hello everyone,

This patch is a very substantial update to the game. The tutorial has again been modified substantially. If you have already completed the tutorial you will not have to do it again but if you want to do the tutorial over again, contact me on discord and I will reset your tutorial state (you will keep your inventory, skills, other quests, ect.). I'm not sure what features I'll be able to put into next week because the rest of the time this week will probably be spent on bug fixes and stability fixes for the game. My list of known bugs for this patch is very small so if you find something that you think is a bug please let me know and ill try to get it fixed as soon as possible.

New Features
  • Archery
    • You can now use bows and arrows to kill combat NPCs.
    • The tutorial has been modified where you receive a bow and 25 arrows during the tutorial.
    • Bows and arrows can now be purchased from vendors
  • Merchant Skill
    • As you purchase items from vendors you gain exp towards your merchant skill, which improves the ratio at which you buy/sell items.
  • Major performance fixes
    • Recomputed occlusion culling and accuracy on all map segments
    • Lighting is now only realtime global illumination, which actually performs much better than mixed (baked + realtime GI)
Changes
  • Enemy drops have been updated and improved
    • Enemies now rarely drop tools (short swords, axes, ect.)
    • Enemies have a higher probability of dropping arrows and coin bags
    • Enemies can now drop food
  • Labistre Training Grounds
    • Substantial updates to map,  more rocks to mine, more enemies to fight, ect.

Windows Mixed Reality for SteamVR - Yang
The public beta has been updated to version 0.1.1093

This update includes the following changes:
  • Fixed motion reprojection issue that introduced judder in some cases
  • Renamed Motion Reprojection setting from "forceHalfRateWithReprojectionMode" to "motionReprojectionMode"
  • Fixed bugs when multiple types of controllers were connected (e.g. physical and simulated)

Motion reprojection makes 90 FPS reprojection smoother when running SteamVR with Windows Mixed Reality. If you enabled this mode previously, you'll need to update the settings file again following the instructions below.

If you choose to enable motion reprojection, all Steam VR games will render nominally at ½ frame rate (45 FPS instead of 90 FPS) while Windows Mixed Reality for SteamVR uses motion vectors generated by the GPU to extrapolate the next frame. For SteamVR games that reliably hit 60 FPS+ on a given PC, this should result in a solid 90 FPS experience with occasional artifacts while maintaining a comfortable experience.

Instructions to enable motion reprojection
You can opt-in to this mode by updating the MixedRealityVRDriver\resources\settings\default.vrsettings file in the MixedRealityVRDriver install folder.
  1. Make sure you have opted into the Windows Mixed Reality for SteamVR Beta using the instructions on the enthusiasts guide.
  2. Close SteamVR if it is running
  3. Edit the file at "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\MixedRealityVRDriver\resources\settings\default.vrsettings" (Path will be different if Windows Mixed Reality for SteamVR was installed to a different library)
  4. Add this line just below "driver_Holographic_Experimental" as shown in the example below "motionReprojectionMode" : "motionvector",
  5. Restart SteamVR with Windows Mixed Reality

The New Kid

Survival Games is new to early access, having only released a few days ago and Battle Royale games are best with lots of players. This means the multiplayer community is in it's infancy, and we at 2.0 Studios are working to grow it!

Discord Community

Before we hit early access, we ran a private Beta the used our Discord server as a way to engage with the gamers who play. When we post updates, changelogs and news, this community of 1500 gamers is the first to know. We'll be on the chat channel during our events, if you're keen on having a chat with us.

Bug Hunting

This game is new, and it's likely there are some issues we have not found yet. This is a great opportunity for the Dev staff check things out, and respond with patches. So while you're here, let us know if you have any trouble or spot anything.

Freebies

During these events, we'll be giving away retail keys . Later, we will be handing out Steam Inventory Items. Stuff like hats, clothing and other cosmetics. Should be a bit of fun, and cool way to get some free stuff for our gamers.

Regular Events

Play with Devs is a regular event. So for those of you who own a copy, this is a great time to connect with a larger number of players. We'll be playing Battle Royale mode, but might switch to another mode if you guys want to give that a swing.

The 2.0 Team

FYI, we're a team of four. Three of us are full time developers, with two programmers and an artist. All three of our dev staff are online for these events. Our Steam Id's are Yado, Mulet_The_Great, 2p0_Studios and Danthekilla.
