Glenn Moore has been a comedian for years. He has written for TV and performed on panel show Mock The Week. Last year his Edinburgh Fringe performance won an award for Best Debut Show . Cuphead s fetishisation of difficulty and the air of smugness perpetrated by some of the louder parts of its community unfortunately put me off the finger-gun platformer, but if anything could have made me give it another chance, it would have been the ability to summon an army of anthropomorphic cups. Lamentably, this bug, along with many others, has been squashed in the latest update.

Playerunknown s Battlegrounds test servers went offline on the weekend, casting players back to a world where climbing over fences is something people can only dream about. It s a time for mourning, then, but also for celebration, as the test servers will be coming back, and with them will come the long-anticipated desert map and a new shotgun.

Royal incompetence simulator Crusader Kings 2 is one of the best games ever. Over hundreds of years, sultans and kings create new empires and murder their families. Today a data science man gets in touch to say he recorded a 700-year game in observation mode, pulled out all the data like a big reel of cassette tape, shoved it through some kind of magical process I won t pretend to understand, and came up with statistics on several rulers. This also resulted in detailed networks of kills and marriages. The important thing is: this lets us see who had the most babies. (more…)

Do you have a fast paced, spell-slinging dungeon crawler shaped hole in your gaming life? Well, Wizard of Legend might have you covered. It launched a Kickstarter campaign last year, but a new trailer has just brought it to our attention – where it probably should have been for a while.

I just spent ten minutes zapping my way around the demo, which has secured the game’s place on my ‘awesome wizard simulators’ watch list.

When Earth has become an empty wasteland waiting to be consumed by the sun, Scott Cawthon will still be making Five Nights at Freddy s games. Since 2014, Cawthon has released six games in the series, and while he shelved the latest installment back in July, he s already returned with a new one. Details are slim at the moment, but it looks like a pizzeria simulator.

If you like your 100 player survivor clashes on the wacky side, then you might be interested in the development roadmap the Fortnite devs put up last week, where they talk about what they’re currently working on and what’s coming to the game in the future. It includes new modes, efforts to deal with team killers, and changes to the way shooting works.
