Today we released an update that addresses certain issues present in the last build. Read on for the full list of changes:
  • Improved Performance: Turn processing has been greatly optimized. Turns now process up to 50% faster and scale linearly as the game progresses, making long matches in huge galaxies more playable.
  • Fixed a bug that caused the MIRV missile modifier to act erratically.
  • Added most bug fixes from Spud Dastardly and WhatIsSol Mods.
  • Fix for Gnolam doomstar design attempting to use the “Heavy Mount Modifier” for missiles. It has been modified to use “Heavily Armored Missiles” instead
  • Fix for AI making lopsided trades in order to get trade treaties from the player
  • Fix for Leader bonus not being added to defender’s armor value
  • Fix for incorrect population growth ratio
  • Fix for the inability to abort combat under certain circumstances
  • Fix for defender armor using the wrong constant
  • Fix for Leader bonus not being calculated correctly for the attacker
  • Fix for fighters consuming ammo too quickly and returning for resupply too often
  • Fix for attacking race's trait (beam defense was being added to the defender’s beam defense)
  • Fix for Leader bonus being calculated incorrectly
  • Fix for static defenses not healing
  • Fix for Leaders’ total cost re-displaying fleet upkeep costs
  • Fix for Leaders’ ships ground combat bonuses not having any effect
  • Fix for missing "ship repair" Leader bonus

Interstellar Rift - Conquintor
FUNCTIONALITIES

- added the Vaultron Loan Terminal
  • Provides loans of 250k, 500k and 1m U-Nits

- added a new debt system
  • the player now has a debt counter
  • debt payment will automatically deduct up to 50% from any received income depending on debt amount
  • failing a mission results in added debt
  • debts can be paid off manually at any Vaultron Loan Terminal

- Each faction now starts in their own system
  • Vectron Syx (Hurles Co.)
  • Alpha Ventura (Galactic Trade)
  • Sentinel Prime (Sentinel Security)
  • Scaverion (Drifters)
  • Upgraded Hurles Co. Industrial Complex with more mining capacity
  • Added GT Mining Facility (mining station) in Alpha Ventura
  • Added SSS Resource Collection Hub to Sentinel Prime (mining station)

- each is provided with a HydroPEX Rift Hub to facilitate transport between these 4 systems

- added a new droid at all of the starter stations.
  • On the droid's tablet, the player can change their faction. This will only change the spawn point, no reputation is changed.
  • This can only be done if reputation is neutral or above (except for Drifters, which the player can always change to)

- factions no longer allow the player to spawn on their starter station if the player's reputation is too low (players will be sent an in-game message when this happens)

- added a new screen to the advanced ship stats window to show power used per device type over time

- added ability for fuel bar in stats overview window to be changed to a power battery meter instead

- sub-process saving is now enabled by default, decreasing lag times when saving/loading/joining players (Only works when a new config file is generated, older users will need to set the file manually )

GRAPHIC

- added indicators when the player receives or loses reputation/cash/debt

BALANCE

- changed mass of batteries from 200 to 500

- changed mass of Nuclear Reactor from 10800 to 48000

- changed small shield generator energy use from 120/tick to 150/tick

- changed large shield generator energy use from 750/tick to 1100/tick

- changed large shield generator shield amount from 5000 to 6500

- changed Tech 3 class I Ion engine from 5000/tick to 6500/tick

- disruptors can now spawn with a skrill level of 3500 instead of 4000

- tweaked all alien spawn rates so they should spawn less

- rebalanced several missions U-nit rewards

- increased size of icons in holotable

- Huge lorry mission now has a random amount of crates to carry and a random resource types

- adjusted small mineable asteroid weights to about a 10th of their original mass

BUG FIXES

- fixed bug where server would crash on disconnect

- fixed crash in engineering terminal

- fixed crash in unload of character model

- fixed crash in warp assist notifier

- giving items now only works when chat is not active

- fixed bug where ships which where queued for deletion would be added to the store-o-tron when rebuilding

- rebuilding from console command no longer happens off-thread

- full rebuild saves the world before rebuilding

- fixed bug where engineering terminal would display the wrong rooms

- fixed bug where deleted systems would still be linked in metadata

- rebuild world now removes all broken links

- fixed bug where ship owner would not get a message when ship was destroyed by a collision

NOTES

- existing saves and server saves need to be rebuilt with the third rebuilding option. This will use the new split up faction systems. To update the stations also apply the second rebuilt option after the third has completed. (or stations will not have the loan terminals/faction droids)

Next up we have rebuilt the wallet system and have split your wallet balance into two separate pools. From now on you have a wallet balance and a debt. The wallet balance tells you exactly how much money you have available to spent. And the debt indicates how much debt you have. A debt must be repaid, and you can repay this in two ways. You can either pay it directly at a new Vaultron loan terminal (available at every starter station). Additionally every time you complete a mission or when you sell something to a store a percentage of your reward will be paid to your debt. This percentage increases when you have more debt and lowers as you reduce your debt until your debt is fully repaid. At which point you will receive 100% of U-nit rewards. The debt percentage cannot exceed 50%. It is no longer possible to have a negative balance in your wallet, which means that you will always have cash to spend, separate from your debt



In addition to the debt system we have also implemented a loan system. If you are in need of some extra cash you can take out one of three loans at a Vaultron loan terminal. Each loan will will come with a set interest percentage. The loans have a timer so you won’t be able take more than 3 at once. Loans are paid off like normal debt, either at a terminal, and as a percentage of each transaction you make.

We’ve also added in the ability to swap your primary faction. This way you can change your starter station. On every starter station you will find the new recruiter droid. When you approach the droid it will present you with a screen on which you can choose to join that station’s faction. Note that changing your primary faction will not reset your faction reputation. And factions with which you are unfriendly will not allow you to join. Also if you lose enough faction reputation you will be kicked out and receive an email telling you so. At this point you will automatically join the drifters and thus the black pit will be your respawn point.
