Today we have released a new build for Dad Quest, the key part of this update is the beta update which allows controller support.
You can play the game in its entirety with 360 controller support, however the game UI is not yet complete and still displays the PC controls when talking with NPC’s etc. This is something that will be worked on throughout development. Here is the current controls
Left Stick – Control dad movement Right Stick – Control direction of your throw Left Trigger – Throw child Right Trigger – Melee with child A button – Jump Left/ Right Bumper - Jump X button – Interact Y button – Open inventory Start - Pause
The 360 controller is currently in beta itself and may be refined during the development of dad Quest. Additionally some issues may arise from using a 360 controller. Like this Moonwalking Dad
Additionally, a few more changes have been made to the build including some new particle effects for destroying crates and Pigs are now dangerous.
Full changelog below:
-Beta controller support added -Controller controls visible from pause menu -Crate break particles -Exp orbs bounce off child if at max level -Pigs -NPC updates -Miscellaneous bug fixes -Do not trust the desert guard
As usual, if you come across any issues, do let us know in the forums along with any steps on how to reproduce it.
