It’s time for another update with a few balance changes and bugfixes.
We were looking at your feedback and made some of these necessary changes to balance. We hope that they will make the game better and you can enjoy it much more.
Balance changes in weapons:
Gauss Cannon – projectile travel time changed from 0.8s to 1s and range from 3500 to 3300,
Rocket launcher – improved range from 1500 to 1700, +10 % damage,
Cruise missile – acceleration and rotation speed increased by +50%, also in some circumstances, you can hit an enemy behind cover,
Phaser – range increased from 1500 to 1700,
Heavy Laser – range decreased from 2500 to 2400, +10 % energy consumption.
Balance changes in classes:
Battleship – rate of fire changed from 0.67 to 0.8, damage from 1.67 to 1.25
Frigate – rate of fire changed from 1.67 to 1.25, damage from 0.6 to 0.8
Of course these changes are not final. We will see what happens after this patch and depending from the collected data and your feedback, we will consider another changes in next patch.
Bugfixes:
fixed a bug, which caused a false broken integrity in build mode,
fixed a bug, which caused the broken upgrade on the Artillery mode,
fixed a bug, which caused the loss of colors on armor after self-destruct ,
fixed a bug, which caused the missing crosshair,
fixed a bug, which asked the player to login with email/password on Steam,
fixed a bug, which caused that your friends haven’t been able to see a private message,
several UI glitches have been fixed,
several minor bugs have been fixed.

Serious Sam VR: The Last Hope “Shanti” update is now finished and will become available right after internal testing. The update will include the new planet (Shanti), new weapons (one melee and one long ranged weapon), new feature (Sam’s personal shield) and a very scary new boss. Boo!

No, we haven’t forgotten our “flat” games. We’re announcing Serious Sam Fusion 2017, a FREE update for all owners of Serious Sam games, both flat and VR versions. This update will be rolled out gradually, starting with The First Encounter, and then The Second Encounter and Serious Sam 3: BFE.
Serious Sam Fusion 2017 update will bring a common workshop for cross-game mods support, as well as enable multiplayer between “flat” and VR versions of games, among other things. So, if you have Serious Sam VR: The First Encounter and your friend has The First Encounter HD, you can connect and play coop or versus with one another – using Fusion 2017.

Hi, guys, we realize that many people likes to use Matchmaking more than we expected and we are going to put high priority fixing/improving Matchmaking. We just added auto-region selector and it seems to be working quite well, however there are some known bugs at this moment and let us tell you.
1. Matchmaking takes longer than the display. This is because, Matchmaking uses total number of users in all Matchmaking servers. When we first introduce Matchmaking, there was only on channel but now we have multiple channels. We will take the current channel you select into account when displaying estimated time.
2. Matchmaking sometime give you unbalanced player like 8v6, 6v5, and etc. We are going to fix the bug and let you know once it's fixed.
I'm sure there are more bug in Matchmaking but the above two are the most frustrating bugs. If you know know, please leave it in the comment and we will take a look.
