Dimensional - Jumbli
The latest version of Dimensional brings lots of changes including, improvements to the user interface (more to come later), lots of bug fixes and improvements to existing levels and a brand new level.

Important: New levels are unlocked after attempting (not necessarily completing) the previous level, so load your last unlocked level to unlock the next.

The new level (They're listening) concentrates on the use of audio. Voice sensors and droids can be alerted by your voice or Digby's. Sometimes you'll want to stay quiet, other times it may be useful to make a noise. You'll also need to quickly locate the source of certain sounds. Dimensional uses HRTF enabled sounds which should make finding the source in 3d space fairly simple.

Level 2 has been extended to give a more gradual introduction to using Digby to make sure you understand how to control him properly. It may be worth playing this level again. You could find a new hidden area too.

Thanks to everyone who's provided feedback and helped me to identify the latest batch of improvements.

Other notable improvements:

Optimised floor grid setup
Get a grade for each level depending on secrets found and number of times you had to reset
Checkpoints made more apparent and explained in 1st level
Button to respawn ball at start of level 3 if you go wrong
Some challenges will show a "Simplify" button if you fail more than 3 times so you can optionally make it easier.

What's next

I will be reaching out for beta testers shortly. I need more help identifying bugs, but also I need to know if I create a challenge that's too obscure for anyone to complete.

A new challenge will be coming in the Trials level this month and I'll be working hard on the next complete level while making further general improvements.

I'm also upgrading to Unreal engine 4.13 and will be introducing Oculus Touch support before the hardware is released to consumers.

I'm trying to make Dimensional a very varied and experimental game. Each level introduces new mechanisms and ideas and ends up taking a lot of development. To get the game finished I will need to cut back a little on the number of levels so that I have time to improve the existing levels. If sales of the final game go well I would still like to add more content after the release. The full game has to be released this year, but I'm currently aiming for the end of November.

Vanoss & Delirious - Epic Break-ins: Episode 2

Youtubers Vanoss and H20Delirious have both posted new videos of their “epic” break-in attempts. The Meerkat Gaming team loved these videos, not only for the non-stop hilarity but also as an aid to help us reproduce and fix many of these issues. I’m happy to report that a majority of the glitches showcased in the videos are now patched but don’t worry, we’ve got a ton of big features in the works so I’m sure they will have no shortage of new material for an Episode 3.

General
  • All new locomotion and arrest animations!
  • Players now ragdoll when hit by a car
  • Police now ragdoll when hit by a car - triggers level failure like hitting pedestrians
  • Added level restart option to lawyer scene
  • Fixed van headlights

  • Oculus: Increased default graphics quality for shadows and post-processing - You can scale these back down to low via options menu

  • Vive: Players can no longer use their superhuman strength to flip cars
  • Vive: Players are now visible to NPCs

Shadow Heroes: Vengeance In Flames - MajinSephiroth
Greetings Captains!

This week was mainly dedicated to improvements and polishing. We've still got a ways to go before everything is complete, but we're getting there!

We also reached a decision to migrate to the latest unreal engine version in order to improve optimizations!

New Features
  • If units go behind obstacles, you will be able to see their silhouette through objects
  • Wagon in the third mission is now easier to select
  • Units in timed assault now have equipment set to them
  • Made improvements to first mission to show where the east, south and west gates are during the first tasks
  • Chanter invocation area of effect has been made slightly more transparent to be able to see units better
  • Campaign Map is now complete with proper points of interest
  • Updated the Game Engine to the latest Unreal Engine 4.13
  • Various additional optimizations

Fixes
  • Fixed a bug with codex journal entries, they were playing behind the codex and were being hidden by it
  • In-game conversations will no longer stack if another one is already playing
  • Cannons now display their ability in the HUD again, this was un-intentionally removed
  • Loading story progress from steam now works properly
  • Fixed a bug that allowed you to upgrade an item for free if it was locked
  • Fixed a problem with cherubs killing altars instead of healing them
  • Fixed units going through solid objects, they aren't incorporeal after all :p
  • Fixed a grammar mistake during the second mission dialog
  • Story mission 2 and 3 now allow you to Surrender properly

Multiscreens - Phylliida
I just pushed out an update of the Rift Version of Multiscreens ("Launch Multiscreens in Oculus VR Mode") that allows you to capture the entire desktop in Multiscreens in Windows 7 :) (you could already do this for Windows 8+) There will be a little blue icon in the taskbar that is your desktop and you can pull up that window to have full desktop capture :)

It is slower than Desktop Capture for Windows 8+ which is why I normally didn't have it as an option, however if you are on a Rift and enable ASW the performance should now be decent enough to be usable.

So enjoy! Let me know if there are any bugs you run into. I could also make this work for the Vive, however without ASW it is fairly laggy, so it is up to you all if you would like me to add this or not.
