Patch Notes 31 July 2015
This week’s patch focused on introducing the second pass of weapons tuning, introduction of the beginnings of a new stat system and many bug fixes.
New/Adjusted Features:
Weapons tuning –
We have added characteristics to the weapons to diversify them. We have also given each weapon different accuracy and recoil depending on what stance the player is in. Additionally, we added damage reduction over distance. Finally, on the first shot, if the crosshairs are fully constricted then accuracy is at 100% for most weapons.
First pass player statistics –
Basic stats are now recorded and stored. You must complete a round to earn and retain the stats from that round. Stats can be viewed under a new main menu option called “Profile” and provide basic results at this time. You will also notice many greyed out options inside of that menu indicating things to come in the future.
Blueprint error messages-
Additional messaging has been added to inform the player of why they could not join the server, example, when server is full or when using an out of date build
Bug Fixes:
Steam join--fixed so join server from Steam browser and friend's invite works. NOTE: This cannot be done while the game is open.
Mic volume--We removed the greyed out mic volume slider from Audio that confused members. Mic volume is controlled in Steam/Settings/Voice.
Sabotage bomb icon distance—The view distance was changed from infinite to a more pertinent distance.
All alive leave server—a fix was implemented to end the round should all alive players leave. Previously this left dead players to wait on the clock to run out.
Factory collision under stairways—Stairways are now open, collision removed.
Factory collision on some catwalks—Fixed those areas reported.
Sismis fence by church block-Moved fence slightly to allow passage.
Sismis chimney missing collision—fixed
Sismis small roof objects collision missing—fixed
WolfRun collision on waterfall removed
WolfRun blocked area by rock—moved rock to allow passage

We've been working on these for quite a while and are happy to announce that Asteroids are now available to add to your systems in PA! They have been added in a few of the existing systems (including ranked), so keep your eyes open for the telltale Asteroid belts and enjoy a new way to annihilate planets!
This update also includes a ton of bugfixes, polish items, and AI tweaks for you to play against, as well as new feedback added to make placing buildings much easier!

Tutorial popup in Solace Bridge about attacking the targeting dummy now correctly describes how to attack it.
Quest turn-in UI now lists single-item turn-ins correctly.

Player Owned Town Islands and boat teleporters on Overworld interactions are being blocked by the collision volumes around Novia. You have to swing your camera around to get the camera on the other side of the collision to interact with them.
First quest chain between Edvard and Stanley is broken
If you upgrade from a property owning pledge between data wipes you will receive extra lot deeds.
Trolls have no visual effects
Troll AI and behaviors are not working as expected
Not all Player Owned Towns in the list are in the game yet
Some objects / NPCs in game are missing textures and show up bright pink
Time is not in synchronized between scenes that have the new sky vs. the old sky
Red crystal nodes in Etceter Crag Mines are all yielding blue crystals.
If your video drivers are out of date characters will appear as if they are covered in triangles.
Some cities are experiencing performance spikes
Some assets create flash bulb like sparks on screen
The screen may go dark unexpectedly in some cases. If this occurs, you can open the video options and turn off Tone Mapping as a temporary fix.
Many pledge, add on, and stretch goal items have not yet been built and/or do not yet have tech support. These will not be complete until later this year
The update to Unity 5 caused a host of general texture and lighting related issues, and not all of these have been resolved.
Distant tree billboards may have a white outline that is especially noticeable at night, and some trees may shimmer with white at night.
Skin tone will sometimes not match properly on different parts of the body
Unity 5 engine bug: Terrain is not accepting shadow casting lights and terrain lighting shows up on grid vs. radius
ALT key can no longer be bound. This was necessary to re-enable quick self cast with ALT
Unity 5 Engine Bug: Objects in the foreground sort incorrectly against objects in the distance like trees and the horizon

2d major Steam update, introducing fishing, the backpack for carrying more items, and a new setting that, if enabled, takes a snapshot of the island every 4 ingame days, allowing you to create a "island history" slideshow! As usual, the update also adds a substancial number of tweaks, improvements and fixes, so make sure to read the changelog below for the full list.
This update is NOT compatible with old savegames! (major glitches and bugs may occur if you try to load one)

For the next 15 days I will work on consolidating and polishing the game, and improve the ambience sounds which are quite monotonous now. This means the next update will not be very big, but only on the surface, since it will lay the fundations for the Shelter system (which will be added later) and many other future additions!
