We have pinpointed the issue resulting in the Save Data Loss and are in the process of testing the fix in a new patch. Once fully tested, we will look to post it later this evening and will make another announcement at that time. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work through this.

We're aware of a few performance issues related to some of the settings in the options menu. We'll be working on a fix for these soon in an upcoming patch.
Extreme Framerate Drops & Stuttering: You can try a couple of things if you have stuttering or poor FPS:
From the main menu go to "Options," click the "Black Mesa" tab, and uncheck the four boxes under "Performance."
These options are called "Enable DLight Manager", "Enable Muzzleflash DLight", and "Enable Battery DLight".
Possible Full Bright/No Lighting Fix: Make sure if you are using a laptop your dedicated video card is being used.
Control Panel > NVIDIA Control Panel > Manage 3D Settings > Program Settings > Add bms.exe > Select Dedicated graphics card (field 2).
You can also try:
Find 'autoexec'.cfg in SteamApps/common/Black Mesa/bms/cfg and open this file with Notepad
Add the following lines to this file:
mat_dxlevel 95 mat_fullbright 0 mat_hdr_level 2
Save the file and launch the game to see if this fixes your issue.
We are extremely sorry for the hiccups, we'll be rolling out additional patches for some of the other issues as quickly as possible over the next few days. Thanks for your patience!

All three platforms are now up to date with each other again. That makes life better for everyone.
Here's what we've changed in the last few weeks:
This update includes an upgrade of our library from Monogame-SDL2 (sorta FNA) all the way to the latest FNA.
Performance improvements! (largely due to FNA upgrade... but not entirely). Depending on what part of the game you're in, it can do 10% to 20% more frames-per-second. If you're at 60 fps, then it just stops there (to not waste your CPU) but since the cap was always at 60 fps, you'll just be using less CPU!
Bunch of Async fixes & tweaks
We tweaked the BlueLine Cloud experience. Now, if you hit that "signup/connect" dialog, and you don't want to send us any of your super-secret-secret-data (ie: your email address), then you no longer have to put in a fake email... you can just hit "No Thanks" and you will get to play anyway.
When you realize it was a bad idea NOT to set up an email address (because it's anti-DRM that lets you access your data outside of Steam), you can add that after-the-fact.
We pushed back the Half-Life 3 release a few weeks to upgrade our internationalization. If you see anything wrong with the text in this release, please let us know. We looked though... it looked fine. Reeeeeally fine.
GamePad support works in Linux again. That's really what forced us to update to the latest FNA ;) ...we've noticed some weird spots that don't work right with Gamepads (game settings, Rules dialog) so we'll be fixing those soon hopefully.
I just posted an update to version 0.9! Notice how close that is to 1.0!
What I'm saying is that the game is ALMOST DONE! I'm just buttoning up some final things including Steam Trading Cards and the final Animated Cutscene, but mostly the FINAL BOSS BATTLE!
New things in this update: 1. Return to OUKOKU after specializing, each path has a unique boss that gives you a key to the dark portal. 2. Red Path - fight your way up to the mouth of the volcano to find Glitch's last brother and prepare for the final boss battle! 3. Steam Achievements! (Windows only) There are over 55 achievements with a few more coming eventually. Most can be earned now, but the few that rely on the ending can't yet be earned 4. Cloud Saves! (Windows only) Play from any computer connected to steam and pick up your game where you left off! 5. Intro animation and menu system - Woo! 6. Faster frame-rate/performance improvements (let me know if it runs faster for you or is lagging too much) 7. The hebi beast no longer auto-re-charges your magic bar, instead there's another bar that shows your fire-power
Known issues: 1. Steam achievements and cloud saves are not working on Mac... I've been tearing my hair out trying to get them working with the AIR framework and nothing's been successful yet. I'll keep trying and hopefully figure it out for the official launch. 2. The coins during the cart ride in the salt mines can't be picked up. I've been re-doing some parts of the engine to make things run faster, and those coins got left out of the process... ignore them for now! :-D 3. Transitioning to cloud saves likely erased all your progress data (Windows only)... sorry about that! Enjoy playing again while earning achievements!
Please feel free to report any other bugs you find!
Thanks for all the support, we're getting REALLY close to launch!
