Beginning of the New Year is usually a time of peace and rest. Yet in 11 bit studios we believe, that every time is a good time to help the good cause! That’s why we are proud to present another chapter of our cooperation with War Child charity foundation.

From 15th to 29th of January we encourage everyone to donate money to the charity using our dedicated site http://warchild.thiswarofmine.com. By doing that, you can help children all around the world, who suffer from all kind of conflicts. The money will be used to provide medical help, schooling and other things required to provide them a chance for better future. But that’s not all of it!

It's three weeks until launch. We're busy packing Sunless Sea full of content and polishing it to a high shine for you.

New this week: Romance your crew!

It is now possible to romance the Longshanks Gunner and the Sly Navigator, with other romance options to come. However, romancing your officers may cause embarrassment if you already have a Sweetheart.

(It is entirely coincidental, but we'd also like to point out that you can sound your horn in Sunless Sea by pressing H. Have fun with that!)

Thanks to everyone who helped us try the 64bit build of Oort Online. Users were reporting improvements in performance and stability, especially when playing for longer periods of time, which is great to hear.

We have since decided to make the 64bit build the default so that more players will receive these improvements. We encourage all users to use this version moving forward with Oort Online to get the best out of the game.

For the users who are running on 32bit only Windows operating systems, we have made the older 32bit version available as a beta currently. For the sake of stability and future improvements we hope you will be able to move over to 64bit soon.

If you are a 32bit Windows user:

1. Open Steam and go to Library > Games
   
2. Right click on Oort Online and select "Properties"
   
3. On the BETAS tab select "32bit" and then close.
   
4. Wait for the game to update or click "Play Game" and choose to download the update. When the game is using the 32bit version the game in the library should say: "Oort Online [32bit]"
   
5. Play the game as normal. To opt out of the beta repeat the process but in the BETAS tab choose "NONE - Opt out of all beta programs"

We’ve just released our new cinematic trailer for Total War: ATTILA tells the story of the struggle with FAMINE. As long, bitter winters set in across Europe and crops wither in the field, the Gothic people find themselves at a turning point.

Among the new features in the game is the ability to form a horde and migrate with certain factions. Some, like the Visigoths and Ostrogoths, do that in search of a new home, while others simply have a taste for plundering, leaving behind a trail of destruction.

With the impact of seasons, a gradually cooling climate, marauding hordes and entire regions burned to the ground, sustaining your people will become more and more challenging and famine may become the biggest threat to your faction’s survival yet.

On March 10th, the Closed Beta will be available to Early Access players only. On March 28th, the mountain will be open to everyone else who signs up for the Closed Beta.



Those who have already joined SNOW’s Early Access on Steam don't need to sign up for the Closed Beta and will get automatic access more than two weeks before the rest of the players. We wanted to make sure our Early Access backers are the first people to try out this next major update as a token of our appreciation for all the support they have shown us throughout the earliest stages of SNOW’s development.



We will also reward all players who participate in the Closed Beta with an exclusive Sean Pettit Red Bull helmet. This is the actual custom helmet that freeskier Sean Pettit wears on the mountain and this is the only time to get it. It won’t be available for purchase after the Closed Beta, so sign up to make sure you get yours!
