Hi, Elpeeps! It’s almost here—Rena’s new attack system—and it’s about to change her game. It’s our adored elven ranger’s turn to get her own special power gauge. Woot! Nature’s Force is the new way for her to deal jaw-dropping damage by consistently using her basic attacks and skills. Here’s a short list of the basics. All who play as Rena get this new system by default, so pay attention!
> Dealing 6 hits using basic commands charges up 1 unit of the NF gauge, equivalent to 1 orb.
> Rena can charge up NF for up to 5 orbs.
> A special buff is set off once 3 or more units of NF are filled up. The buff affects movement speed, MP recovery, and damage reduction.
> Certain multiple-hit combos that land squarely on the target will use up an NF orb to release additional damage. How would you like to deal 370% of your average physical and magical attack as additional damage? I’d like that very much, thanks!
> Particular skills of Rena’s will now deal additional damage when they land on the target, using up a set amount of NF in the process. Isn’t it great to have a boost to Rena’s already amazing powers, such as Siege Mode?
> There you have it! Watch out for Nature’s Force after maintenance and start mastering this new system with Rena!
Battle for Ereda Island Oh yeah, you get to try out your NF chops in a new location as well! Ereda Island opens up to Lv. 40+ players who have also cleared Altar of Dedication in Feita. Here you must side with either Velder’s Red Knights or Hamel’s Guardian Knights, and get involved in a race for control over some rumored hidden relics (read: loot!). ‘Cause what’s an adventure without a little rivalry between knights?
Item Mall Goodies Three words: Elesis Ice Burners. Get them tomorrow and start collecting both versions of Diamond Yaksha for our daring damsel!
Plus have a smashing summer with new tennis costumes for Add, Elesis, and Ara!

Consider your latest skirmish in Planetary Annihilation an appetizer. The feverish, mind meltingly huge battle was just a sample, a tease of what’s to come. The latest build, as we promised, ushered in a new lobby, new menus, and new explosive effects. You saw quite a few performance breakthroughs, too, as you wildly battled across the stars.
The gains over the last build were incredible, and we’ll keep building on that momentum well into the future. Every day, there’s a new discovery, a new feature or mechanic that we can make better or more powerful and cost less.
The target is clear: deliver on the vision that you helped make a reality. There’s a lot more work to do, but we’re up to the task.
40-Person Battles
Fans who fight commonly in epic free-for-alls and team games often ask when they’ll get to experience 40-person battles. Planetary Annihilation has always had big fights, even early on. Yet, we’ve always wanted to up the ante.
You might be surprised to know that we can support these matches now. Unlocking them for you, however, is a matter of making absolutely, totally sure that the experience will be as fun and as smooth as possible.
In order to get there, we’ll need to add in layers of UI to handle the increased amount of players. Also, we’ll have to tune servers to handle all the carnage. And, of course, bigger fights are going to require some additional background polish work to make sure they run smoothly, efficiently, and offer as much interesting content as possible.
The game you’re playing right now has an excellent example of how we’re paving the way to raising the player cap. Currently, whenever you play in big systems, you aren’t hit with data about planets that aren’t immediately relevant to your interests. This keeps the game’s footprint smaller than it would be if planets were constantly phoning home, and as a result the game runs faster.
Don’t be surprised to see the player cap jump up over time. It’s how we plan to scale the game.
Ladders in 1.0
You asked and we’re listening.
Last week, Jon revealed on our forums that we’re going to re-evaluate our stance on saving ladders for competitive update down the road. We learned a lot about what you think ladders add to a game during our various discussions, so we’re looking at ways that we can accomplish what you want.
We’re with you: we want to make sure new players can battle it out against other new players and veterans can battle it out against veterans. Thanks for your input! It’s been a big help. We’ll have more on this in the future, no doubt.

CHANGE AND ADDITIONS
NEW WEAPON: The Covert Ops Battle Rifle - Assault or COBR-A. With its state-of-the-art lightweight body, the COBR-A is an exceptionally mobile platform designed to engage targets up to medium-range while on the move, or provide accurate harassment from further out. The COBR-A comes in two visual variations: the Venom, which has a vertical grip and the Adder, which has an angled grip and mounted scope. You can lease a zero-slot or open 3-slot Venom from Wilde, in the Joker Distribution in Breakwater Marina. Both the Venom and Adder will be available through ARMAS soon.
NEW WEAPON SKIN: Added a Spanish weapon skin. This will be made available on ARMAS soon.
FAIR FIGHT: We've added the ability for users to report a suspected player using the /report <player_name> chat command. PLEASE BE AWARE: The system works in the same way report functionality works in other games. If you are simply a player who is very good at the game, then you have nothing to fear. Additionally, the system has checks in place to handle players abusing the command.
CLOTHING: Deputy Badge (Waist / Chest) has been made accessible to both male and female characters. It will be available to all enforcers by default in the Badges section of the Wardrobe.
USEABLES (SATCHEL CHARGE): We've upped Satchel Charge explosion damage. It will now straight up destroy anything short of a Fresno.
UI (HUD): Added a unique icon for Vehicle Kills.
UI (OPTIONS): Removed the ability to change the video resolution in APB when in Full screen Windowed mode - this uses your desktop resolution. When selecting Full screen Windowed, we now replace the resolution text with "Desktop Resolution" Now hiding the custom video settings entry when not using custom advanced video options.
BUG FIXES:
EXPLOIT FIX (Deployables):
We've restricted the jump height from deployable items, like the large ammo box. This is to prevent players using them to get to areas of the map they are not meant to be able to access.
DISPLAY (FULL SCREEN WINDOWED):
The full screen window now resizes with the desktop display resolution.
ACHIEVEMENTS:
Backstabber no longer appears in medals list on achievements page.
WEAPONS:
Tweaked OCSP description to be accurate to the function of the weapon. Silenced PDW-57 now has correct muzzle flare. References to STAC-10 are now using the correct name, instead of the "SACR" which was the original name. OCA-626 Whisper RT1 now has the Silencer mod on it. Note: This has no effect on the actual weapon, it's just a visual representation of something that was already happening.
VEHICLE SPAWNERS:
We have adjusted the location of a few vehicle spawn points, which could previously have caused larger vehicles to intersect with nearby walls when they were spawned.
UI (HUD):
Fixed an issue where the vehicle kill icon was missing from the center of the screen when run over.
UI (DISTRICT SELECT - TEXT):
We have removed the suffix from Abington Towers listing on the District select so that it fits into the box correctly.

This update fixes the issues with leveling from Hawker to Trader. So now you can continue growing and expanding your trading business. There are also several minor things fixed, some misspellings etc. We also emphasized the possibility to fire mercenaries and specialists in your status book. There was some confusion with that, some players couldn't find it.
