When he's not making playthroughs of video games on YouTube, Will Keith is killing water bottles. Killing them with flair.

In case you couldn't guess from his Twitter handle @Fatswordsman, Keith has all kinds of sharp and dangerous weapons, and it looks like he knows how to use them. Against a collection of water bottles that never saw what was coming until it was too late.

Do not grieve for them. They were purchased to die for your entertainment, and after watching the hypnotic video up top all the way through, twice, they did not die in vain.

Infamous director Uwe Boll, who's remembered around these parts mostly for his terrible video game adaptations, has a new movie out soon, called Zombie Massacre.

Whether it's based on the obscure 1998 Amiga game of the same name nobody seems quite sure, but one thing I am sure of is that this clip is awesomely awful.

See, people always want to hate on the guy, who I'll admit does come across as a total dick in interviews, but there's a craft to his movies' suckiness that modern cinema is sorely lacking in. He's like a straight-to-beta director from the 80s caught out of time. And I appreciate that.

Hey, Aliens Can Have Kraken Too, You KnowThis isn't the only planet to have water on it. There are likely countless other worlds out there covered in the wet stuff. So don't go assuming we'll be the only civilization to have ever come up with the idea of giant sea monsters!

That piece above, plus all the others you'll see in this gallery, are the work of Francesco Lorenzetti, an artist employed at Atomhawk, a studio which specialises in video game artwork.

The Number of People Who Play League of Legends Just Blows my MindBecause it exists in something of a bubble, outside of the normal video game release schedules and news channels, it's often difficult for outsiders to grasp just how freaking huge PC game League of Legends has become.

So here's a reminder: it is freaking huge.

Developers Riot Games have released some user data for the game, and while it's normally the kind of thing to roll your eyes at and then completely ignore, the sheer scale of these make them worth pointing out.

They say there are 32 million active players. Impressive, but "active" is a very flexible term (Riot says it's users who have played at least one game in a month). It's when you hear that twelve million of them play every single day that you do a double-take. And when they say that there's an average of three million players in League of Legends "concurrently", your jaw hits the floor.

All of this leads Riot to proclaim that LoL is, at least in terms of cumulative hours player per month, the "most played video game in the world".

You can see all of that, along with some looser figures, in the infographic below, whose timely release I'm sure has absolutely nothing to do with a rather forgettable week of news surrounding the game.

ttp://youtube.com/Hfq9cmEs6PQ&hd=1 Good news, everyone! Darkstalkers is being re-released!

Bad news, everyone! It looks like complete garbage.

Due out in "early 2013" on XBLA and PSN, Darkstalkers Resurrection is actually a bundle containing two games: Night Warriors: Darkstalkers Revenge and Darkstalkers 3.

It's got the stuff you'd expect (and even some new features), like online play, tutorials and a spectator mode, but what's dragging the whole thing down is how the game looks.

Like many other re-releases from the 90s, Darkstalkers is stuck in a weird place in terms of its resolution and aspect ratio, meaning it's yet another game Capcom has seen fit to bestow with "HD graphical filtering".

In other words, "crimes against eyeballs". You appear to have two visual options: play the game in widescreen with an atrocious smearing effect destroying the game's visual style, or play it in its original pixellated form, only with an enormous (and gross border) and weird CRT filter effect. Both styles can be seen in more detail below (there's three shots to accommodate the size difference between the two games in their "original" modes).

Um, how about this: can we just have the original visuals with, if need be, a black border? Thanks.

Update - Good news! Seems I completely jumped the gun on this one, and you can turn the filters and effects off. Phew! Sorry about that!

The Red Wedding is coming.

Actually, it means two things: the show will then go downhill for a few years afterwards. But for now, let's just focus on the Red Wedding.

Sorry, Battlefield 3. Sorry, Crysis 2. Upcoming driving game Project CARS is here to kick your ass and take your crown.

The crowd-funded (and developed!) racing game has celebrated its one-year anniversary with, what else, but a fan-made trailer.

I know, this is footage from its PC version (it's also due for 360, PS3 and Wii U), and I know, it's a racing game (which always look good, since they've got less details to worry about), but still. Those lighting effects, those car models... I just can't get my jaw off the floor.

One Man's Continuing Quest to Fix George Lucas' Star Wars Screw-Ups

The reason we're checking back on it today is that, years after Star Wars Revisited was released free of charge, it's recently been announced that we've nearly got our hands on the sequel, Empire Strikes Back Revisited.

Although originally planned for a late 2012 release, some personal stuff like relocating has slowed down Adywan's progress, meaning ESBR's release has been pushed back to 2013. Since we're already in October, though, that's not too far away!

You can read more about the project at its site, while those who haven't checked it out can download Star Wars: Revisited from fanedit's FTP (though you'll likely need something like this to get the download working).

Have I mentioned that I'm excited about Persona 4 Golden? Honestly, it's the one reason I'm thrilled to have a Vita, and one of the games I'm most looking forward to this fall. And would you look at that? Atlus has dropped a ton of new videos of the game on their YouTube channel.

I've never played Persona 4, and I still enjoyed the heck out of these. The one up top marks the beginning of the year. There are so, so many more—I haven't watched them all because while I don't care that much about early-game spoilers in games like this, I still want to go in fresh. But if you want to get a big, healthy taste of what the game will look like on the Vita, go nuts.
