Updates to Team Fortress 2, Day of Defeat: Source and Half-Life 2: Deathmatch have been released. The updates will be applied automatically when your Steam client is restarted. The major changes include:


Source Engine Changes (TF2, DoD:S, HL2:DM)
  • Fixed dedicated servers not being able to set sv_region

  • Fixed Replay/SourceTV clients getting kicked when quickplay servers hibernate
Gratuitous Tank Battles - Valve

+ Changes to the All Stop command mean that a ship issued All Stop
will return to Normal Stance. If a ship is answering All Stop and
another stance is selected, it will start moving again.


Known issues:
- Existing sync errors in multiplayer turn updates are still being addressed.
Source Filmmaker - Valve
Source Filmmaker version 0.9.5.10 has been released. This update will be applied automatically when your Steam client is restarted. The major changes include:

  • added models and materials from Team Fortress 2’s pyro update
  • fixed a crash in koth_badlands
  • removed arena logic from arena maps to allow players to spawn in those maps
  • fixed ambient occlusion on some partially transparent models
  • fixed some cases where the escape key would sometimes unload the map
  • fixed movie export to work with sequences that don’t start at time 0
  • fixed a hang in the startup wizard dialog

  • Added sv_namechange_cooldown_seconds, to throttle clients from changing their name too rapidly. (Defaults to 20 seconds)
  • Added sv_netspike_on_reliable_snapshot_overflow to selectively enable the automatic dumping of netspike file if a client drops due to "reliable snapshot overflow" (defaults to 0, which disables the debugging)
  • Added check to prevent player names from containing color codes
  • setinfo console command will now reject attempts to set / change convars with any unusual characters

Team Fortress 2
  • Fix a bug that caused gameservers to not properly receive client inventory updates. (Frequent cause of the "The server you are playing on has lost connection to the item server" error message.)
  • Fixed not being able to equip all-class items properly
  • Fixed the DX8 water effect
  • Fixed the Beggar's Bazooka misfiring with 100% crits after firing a crit rocket
  • Fixed the Strange Sandman not accepting the Posthumous Kills strange part
Warlock - Master of the Arcane - Valve

A new patch was released today with a number of fixes, user interface improvements, and a new game option that lets you competitive players turn the first person legs off. UI
- Added chat spam throttling.
- Players that have not purchased a Tournament Pass will no longer be able to watch that Tournament's replays.
- Sellback times no longer expire when moving items to the courier.
- Commendations are now only allowed from within games.
- Commendation totals are not incremented until the game is finished.
- Commendation totals are not incremented if the game was less than 10 minutes long.
- Fixed item stocks not restoring correctly when multiple items are sold back within the sellback time.
- Added a message when a player destroys the Aegis.
- Added confirmation dialog before starting a Tournament game with one or more teams not specified.
- Added client-side console variables allowing spectators to locally disable certain announcer lines. Especially useful for broadcasters. The cvars are:
- cl_dota_speech_spec_towerattack, cl_dota_speech_spec_towerfalls, cl_dota_speech_spec_barracksattack, cl_dota_speech_spec_barracksfalls, cl_dota_speech_spec_ancientattack, cl_dota_speech_spec_enemybasefalls, cl_dota_speech_spec_idles .
- Set any of them to '0' to prevent that line from playing. (Broadcasters will almost always want to set cl_dota_speech_spec_idles 0 ).
- Multiple players who have the same announcer equipped in the same game should now hear the same line being spoken.


BOTS
- Enabled AFK and leaver penalties for co-op bot matches.
