What's this? An official Injustice website featuring Superman, Wonder Woman and The Flash? Perhaps DC Comics' superheroes will be joining an 'Injustice League' for a new fighting game, brought to what seems to be advertised as the Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii U.
If you head over to the official Facebook page, you can see a few more characters including Harley Quinn and Solomon Grundy.
GameSpot also has the announcement trailer, embedded for you below. Getting a closer look at our villains and heroes you can tell that they seem to be wearing custom designed costumes. That and some scary-looking facial expressions.

Perhaps DC Comics' superheroes will be joining an 'Injustice League' for a new fighting game, slated for a 2013 release on the Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii U. In 2008, the same team made Mortal Kombat vs. D.C. Universe, so they have some experience letting Superman and Batman beat each other up.

We'll be seeing the game very soon at E3, so hang tight for impressions.
The province of Skyrim expands this summer with Dawnguard, 1,600 Microsoft points worth of new epic adventure for the Xbox 360.
Dawnguard is a timed Xbox 360 exclusive, which is unfortunate seeing as I am fully invested in the PC version of the game at this point. Still, timed is timed, and we'll get it eventually. In the meantime I'm sure the modding community can come up with their own expansion pack or two to tide us over.
Anyone else getting a Nightwatch / Daywatch vibe from this, or is that just me?
We'll find out more about Dawnguard next week at E3 2012.
What's this? Four new-ish downloadable games across the various Nintendo platforms, and not one that I can poke fun at? This has to be some sort of record. Then again, it's hard to screw up when you've got Metal Slug and Rayman on your side.
Metal Slug 3 for WiiWare and the original Rayman in the 3DS eShop aren't the only strong draws in this week's Nintendo Download, merely the anchors for two untested titles that bear closer examination.
EnjoyUp's 99Seconds for the 3DS and DSi is a follow-up to 99Bullets, the shooter that gave you 99 bullets to complete a level, and that was it. Now the commodity is time as the player navigates through retro-styled arcade levels. It looks charming and intense. I can dig it.
And then there's Kakuro by Nikoli, promising intelligent number puzzles. I am a complete sucker for number puzzles. Give me a handful of digits and some blank squares and I'll be good for the rest of the day.
So yeah, there's not one game here I wouldn't gladly play. I'm so excited I might need to take a nap.

There goes Sony again, blowing its massive announcements the week before E3. Sports Champions 2 is coming this fall, new that no doubt have several PlayStation 3 owners wondering where they put that Move controller. to celebrate, Sony rolls out a non-traditional gamer glamour reel.
Look at those people having fun with a video game system! Those are not people that would have normally been having fun with a video game system, yet here they are, having fun with a video game system. I especially enjoy the use of computer graphics to illustrate that these people are being completely immersed in these sporting events. Aw, she thinks she's skiing!
The game actually looks very pretty, and recent developments have me craving more quality Move content (more on that in a bit), so I welcome a new Sports Champions, especially now that they've done away with three-point Move calibration. Thanks goodness.

Yes, I know it's only May, but it's May 31 and hot damn, this trailer music is awfully wonderful. Or is it, wonderfully awful? Whatever, who cares, it's great and terrible at the same damn time.
The trailer is for new Ridge Racer DLC for the PS Vita. The car in the above trailer is the Hornet from Daytona USA, while the song is "Ridge Racer USA Mix."
The car is priced at ¥250 (US$3.17), while the song is ¥150 ($1.90). Both hit Japan on July 6.
With the 3DS, Nintendo brought us 3D imagery without the use of dopey glasses. Now, a company in Japan has developed a peripheral that can turn your iPhone into an instant 3D device.
At the Wireless Japan 2012, an expo for wireless and smart phone devices and apps, Nippon System Project displayed its new "Picasso 3D Film." The film is like most screen protecting films that you can stick to your iPhone of iPod touch. The only difference is, by applying it to your mobile device, it turns an otherwise 2D screen into a 3D compatible screen.
The film utilizes parallax barrier technology, much like the Nintendo 3DS, to create the illusion of 3D. Even if you have no 3D content on your iPhone, Nippon System Project has a free app available that will allow you to utilize your phone's camera to take and create 3D pictures of your own. There are also apps for converting images and video to 3D. The film is available for the iPhone 4/4S and iPod touch for ¥3,990 (US$50.58). Models for the Galaxy S2 Android phone, the PS Vita, the Mac Book Air, the iMac, and the Panasonic Let's Note laptop are currently in development.
Apparently, 3D effect of the Picasso 3D Film is a little less impressive compared to 3D specific devices like the 3DS. Even so, the ability to conveniently slap it on and have an instant 3D device is quite appealing. It could also allow for the development of 3D games for consoles that have been traditionally 2D. As gimmicky as 3D technology in itself can seem, the potential for such a 3D enabling film is quite exciting.

While the Communist government neuralyzes Men in Black 3, a Chinese gadget site iGeek is claiming that the futuristic Men in Black 3 is copying a Chinese invention.
"MIB3 nakedly ripped off our country's patented technology," iGeek said via a Chinese social networking site.
Described as "an exquisite specimen of Chinese workmanship", the colorful analog bike was discovered back in 2007 in Qingdao, and it's stamped with the following phrase in Chinese: "Patented Product. Unique in the World."

By unique in the world, perhaps the invented means existing outside of China since the 19th century and in popular culture since then. That explains how this Chinese inventor got this monowheel: TIME TRAVEL.

Well, not including Akaneiro. American McGee and his Shanghai-based studio Spicy Horse are rolling out a new online game called Bighead Bash. More in the link. [Bighead Bash]
R4 cartridges, better known in Japan as Majicon, are a major thorn in Nintendo's side. The importing and sale of these devices that allow people to play pirated DS games was ruled as illegal in Japan since 2008. Generally, Nintendo has opted for filing civil complaints or civil lawsuits against violators, but at last, it looks like the gloves have come off.
On May 30th, police arrested a 39 year old self-employed man in the Saitama prefecture. The man was charged with selling 3 R4 cartridges over the internet between February 14th and March 9th for a total of ¥7,200 (US$91.27). This marks the first such arrest of a R4 cartridge dealer in Japan, and hopefully will be a successful blow against the game piracy market for Nintendo.
Overall, there were 83 piracy-related arrests in Japan in 2011, nearly double the 45 arrests from 2010. While the majority of cases have been illegal video upload related, recent rulings and actions have shown that Japan is upping the ante and cracking down on all forms of piracy.
I'm guessing there won't be many retailers putting up Nintendo-provoking banners any more...
