You know, I never realized how much I missed Sly Cooper until I recently laid hands on an in-development build of the master thief's upcoming game. There's a particular charm in how the larcenous raccoon created by Sucker Punch manages to combine stealth, humor and platforming into an attractive whole. I mean, I hate raccoons in real life but here I am laughing it up with one of them in video game form.

In the video preview above, I try out the new abilities generated by the costumes Sly inherits from his ancestors Sly Cooper 4. The PS3 exclusive has the title character traveling through time to recover lost pages from the Thievius Raccoonus, the ancient family tome that holds all sorts of sneaky secrets. Sly 4's being developed by Sanzaru Games, who handled the Sly Collection HD re-release of the previous three titles. The studio knows its way around the franchise and it's apparent how much bigger and sharper the game's going to be in comparison to the previous PS2 games. Does the stuff shown above make you eager to snatch Sly when it hits shelves later this year?

Six Bond Films Merge to Form 007 LegendsWith so many James Bond films to choose from, why make another video game based on only one? GoldenEye 007: Reloaded developer Eurocom and Activision visit six different Bond flicks this fall in 007 Legends.

While 007 Legends is technically a tie-in with this year's new Daniel Craig Bond flick, Skyfall, the game will explore great moments from five classic 007 adventures before tapping into the latest one. While Activision isn't offering details on which classic film moments will make an appearance in Legends, they promise a homage that does the fifty-year-old film franchise justice.

"To honor 50 years of the world's top secret agent, 007 Legends offers a collection of his most famed moments in the smartest and most treacherous Bond game yet," said David Oxford, executive vice president at Activision Publishing via official press release. "Creating a video game storyline that ties together six popular, yet very different, Bond movie narratives can be challenging, but together with EON Productions, our developer Eurocom, has pulled it off to create an homage that we think will be a unique and highly entertaining Bond video game."

As for gameplay, It sounds like more GoldenEye-style shooting. The Mi6 Ops Missions from GoldenEye 007: Reloaded will return, this time allowing players to take on the role of Bond villains, and the online multiplayer experience from the last Bond game will be updated with new maps, weapons and characters.

I guess they're going to have to use Daniel Craig in these classic situations as well. Not sure how I feel about that. I'll let you know as we get closer to 007 Legends' Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 launch this fall.

Korean Star Was So Addicted to Video Games, She Damaged Her ThumbSouth Korea's Jang Na-ra is known throughout Asia as a singer and an actress. Add something else to her resume: compulsive gamer.

On a recent Korean talk show, Jang revealed that she fell in love with hanafuda—a Japanese card that should be familiar to all Nintendo fans. Whether it was playing with her brother or with her manager, Jang fell hard for hanafuda. She played it for days on end. Before she fell asleep, she'd see hanafuda on her bedroom ceiling.

Worried that her hanafuda gaming was starting to become a problem, Jang found a new hobby: video games. That didn't turn out much better.

"Then, I just played video games without bathing, sleeping, or eating," she said. So her compulsive hanafuda playing was swapped with compulsive gaming—she didn't specify the game.

Jang gamed so much, she claimed she injured herself. "One day, my thumb started to swell and bruise, so I ultimately had to get it operated on."

Wonder what she's addicted to now...

Most bottle water ads are boring—ditto for in Japan. But thankfully Japanese animation studio 4°C rolled up its sleeves and created this anime commercial for Volvic bottled water.

The commercial also features character designs by Katsuhiro Otomo, the creator of Akira.

Behold a Hamburger Stacked with a Thousand Pieces of BaconBurger King Japan is going bonkers with bacon. For a mere ¥100 (US$1.24), you can, as sister site Gawker pointed out, add 15 slices of bacon to your Whopper. But why stop at 15?

Japanese website RocketNews sure didn't. It added 1,050 strips of bacon to a whopper. Over one thousand! In bacon math, that's ¥7,000—or $86.85.

In this video, RocketNews unwraps the bacon Whopper and just kind of looks at it before actually trying unsuccessfully to polish some of it down. Sometimes having it your way also means having to barf up bacon.

Mercenary Ops is an upcoming third person shooter from Chinese developer Yingpei Games.

The game was developed on Unreal 3, it's for the PC, and it's multiplayer. As website PCGamer pointed out, the game appears to have been created with Western gamers in mind.

Chinese developed games are still somewhat of a rarity in the West. Shanghai-based Spicy Horse has been churning out high quality titles for years now, but that studio is the exception. If you ask most Western gamers what they image when they hear Chinese video games, they probably think knock-offs.

That'll change—not with this game, but slowly, but surely, it will.

Real-Life Anime Lady Animates You!Overdosing on Photoshop isn't only big in Asia. Kids in the West are running wild with it too in an effort to look like a real-life anime characters.

As previously posted, this seems to be the new thing, looking drawn-to-life, complete with a heart-shaped face, tiny head, enormous eyes, and long limbs. There are already googly-eyed real-life dolls like Venus Palermo and Dakota Rose. The above individual was spotted on Russian social networking site Vkontakte.

Not all the photos appear to be retouched, but many of them do. Online in Russia and the Ukraine, people wonder is this lady is indeed real or if she only exists in software, like China's totally fake real-life blow-up doll.

Many of these photos might look odd, but the best thing about Photoshop? Cheaper than surgery, safer than extreme dieting, and no scaring. Have at it, kids.
