You are looking at some of the strangest Neon Genesis Evangelion products ever released: Evangelion branded mini toy horses.
Neon Genesis Evangelion is an iconic Japanese manga and anime that launched in the mid-1990s.
The Italian inflatable Rody toy is teaming up with apocalyptic anime Neon Genesis Evangelion for mini Rody horses made to look like the Evangelion characters.
The result is truly bizarre! And that's saying something, seeing as how nutso Evangelion branding has been in the past. ($600 Eva booze anyone?)
The Evangelion Rody cost ¥3,990 ($49) each and go on sale this July.

Cosplay is a fine hobby. Heck, if you are into cross-dressing, that's fine—who am I to judge? But flashing people is not cool. Flashing schoolgirls is definitely not cool. And neither is flashing schoolgirls while dressed as a schoolgirl.
According to Japanese media reports, a 37 year-old policeman was arrested for exposing his genitals to a 16 year-old female. The officer was dressed in a sailor-style schoolgirl uniform when he flashed the girl.
On the evening of March 11, the officer, Kazuya Tsukada (not pictured), entered an apartment elevator the same time as a schoolgirl. Tsukada apparently told the girl, "Look at me" as he got out of the elevator, exposing himself. Police took Tsukada into custody shortly thereafter at the nearby train station. He was dressed as a schoolgirl, wearing a wig and not wearing underpants. He later admitted that he'd flashed women before.
"By using polite Japanese when saying 'Look at me,' Tsukada shows he is a straightforward person at heart," Meiji University lecturer Osamu Seki told tabloid Nikkan Gendai (via Tokyo Reporter. "He would be the type of cop who couldn't bring himself to patronize a sex shop. His walking around in public close to where he committed his crime may indicate he had a latent desire to be apprehended."

Kyoto-based figure maker Volks held its seventh "Hobby Round" show in Tokyo this weekend. At it, Volks unveiled a host of new and upcoming figurines and models.
There's the usual bishoujo ("beautiful girl") insanity, but also Volks military vehicles and mecha. What always makes Volks so interesting is how varied its range is.

Sega. Capcom. Namco. The three game companies are collaborating on a new role-playing 3DS game called Project X Zone.
The game features characters from the three game makers. So Capcom is bringing Ken and Ryu from Street Fighter, Zero and X from Mega-Man, Jill and Chris from Resident Evil, and Dante from Devil May Cry along with Demitri Maximoff from Darkstalkers.
Sega has Sakura and Ichiro Ogami from Sakura Wars, Akira Yuki and Pai Chan from Virtual Fighter, Kurt Irving and Reila Marceris from Valkyria Chronicles, Toma and Cyril from Shinning Force, and Ulala from Space Channel 5.
Namco has Sanger Somvold from Super Robot Wars, Jun Kazama and Ling Xiaoyu from Tekken, KOS-MOS and T-elos from Xenosaga, Yuri Lowell and Estelle from Tales of Vesperia, and Kate and Black Rose from .hack.
The reason why the characters are in pairs is that the game uses a pair-based system for combat. More details are expected when the game's debut trailer hits later this month.

You know "Engrish"? The incorrect and strange English that appears throughout Japan is something some English (and even Japanese) speakers enjoy laughing at. You see funny English on signs, company slogans, and, most often, t-shirts. Hahaha, right?
But what about when foreigners don t-shirts with goofy Japanese? More hahaha.
Japanese and English are very different. That's why, as Kotaku previously pointed out, Japanese video games are changed when they are localized into English.
Yet, there are similarities in both the Japanese-speaking world and the English-one. People in Japan think English looks cool, which is why it appears throughout the country, whether that be on signs or t-shirts.
Likewise, many Westerns think Japanese looks cool—hence foreigners getting Japanese words tattooed on their bodies.
The above gallery shows odd Japanese language t-shirts (more can be viewed here, via RocketNews, and here).
Some of the wearers probably have no clue what the shirts say. And some definitely know.
Why are some of these Japanese shirts strange? You just don't usually see these sort of things written on shirts in Japanese—in fact, you rarely see shirts with Japanese written on them in Japan. English seems to be preferred.
And bad as these shirts get, they're nowhere near as awful as some of the incorrect Japanese tattoos. You can always take a stupid shirt off. A tattoo? You need lasers.

I... I... I really don't know what to say.
We got an email overnight from a reader, and the subject line was "Real life Zelda?". I feared the worst. Some bad fan art, perhaps, or even worse, an awful fan film project. How wrong I was.
If you're just a regular human, you'll probably laugh. Wonder why the kid doesn't just drop the food. Or why the guy with the camera runs away from the screaming child instead of helping him, just so he can capture the comedy on camera.
If you're a veteran of the Zelda series, though, where antagonising chickens can mean pursuit and certain death, well. Your heart goes out to him.

I know, there's only 365 days in a year. We'll get to that discrepancy in a minute.
Aussie artist Campbell Whyte set out last year on a mission. He wanted to paint a small image every day of the year, each one based on a NES game.
While his original aim was to paint the entire 799-game catalogue, an opportunity to pursue his own graphic novel has turned up, so Whyte is stopping after one year and "only" 375 pictures.
You can see them all in the video above. It's impressive stuff. If you like what you see, many are still available for purchase at the link below.

"Premium Edition" bundles often include statues or plastic weaponry. They're a way for fans to feel closer to the game—and a way for publisher to milk extra money from said fans. And boy does Capcom love milking money!
And with this bundle, Capcom is going to milk a lot of it.
The upcoming Premium Edition for survival horror game Resident Evil 6 comes with a copy of the game, four different RE6 branded tablet covers (a Chris version, a Leon version, a Jake version, and a Secret version), and a Leon leather jacket.
An actual replica of Leon's in-game duds, the jacket comes in small, medium, large, and extra large.
The price for this limited edition bundle? A cool ¥105,000 or US$1,293. The bundle is available through Capcom's online site, e-Capcom. But good news, free shipping!
