Space Invaders iPhone Case is "Bawlin" May Lead to MuggingsThe folks behind Space Invaders have whipped up three slick new iPhone cases featuring the titular bad guys.

The Space Invaders iPhone cases will fit the 3G and 3Gs models and run your $25.90 each over at importer National Console Support.

The aforementioned importer promises that once you've purchased one of the three cases and wrapped your iPhone in it that there is a high likelihood that upon taking the phone out of your pocket or handbag at least one passerby will exclaim "That iPhone is bawlin" and then attempt to mug you.

I'm not quite sure if that's the right marketing approach for NCS to be taking, but perhaps the warning comes from the heart.

From the creators of the original Street Fighter High fan film comes the daring sequel, Street Fighter High School: The Musical. We dare you to watch both parts without feeling at least a little bit embarrassed for everyone involved.

Jennifer Zhang and crew return to the hallowed halls of Street Fighter High for a musical tribute to musical tributes. The cast of characters expands greatly this time around, including some familiar faces from a certain comic book company often associated with Capcom.

It's not that the follow-up is particularly bad. The costumes are mostly excellent, and the situations are just as silly as last time around. It's the music. Dressing up in Street Fighter costumes is interesting. Placing those characters in a ridiculous setting is interesting. Making them sing ridiculous song parodies for nearly 20 minutes? That might have been the step too far.

New screens and a new trailer have popped up for Islands of Wakfu, Ankama Play's first console title for Xbox Live Arcade that ties directly into its massively multiplayer titles Wakfu and Dofus.

Islands of Wakfu, first revealed back in 2008, is the console tie-in to Ankama's MMO titles for the PC, which themselves are part of a large transmedia project that encompasses animated television show and merchandising. Described as a hybrid beat-em up, shoot-em up, adventure game, Islands of Wakfu ties directly into the two popular MMO titles by unlocking items and quests in those games based on the Xbox achievements you unlock.

Sounds like an interesting project, and like all Ankama tiles, it definitely has a certain visual flair. Let's just hope it sees the light of day sometime soonish.

Xbox Live Gamer Suspended For Living In Fort Gay When banned 26-year-old Xbox Live gamer called Xbox support to explain that his town of Fort Gay, West Virginia, was a real place and not a homosexual reference, he was threatened with account cancellation.

An unemployed factory worker who enjoys first-person shooters, Josh Moore found himself temporarily suspended from Xbox Live last week due to an offensive word in his profile. Moore lives in Fort Gay, a small town of under 1,000 people in West Virginia's Wayne County. The word "gay" in the place name set off red flags with Xbox Live, and Moore found himself suspended, the town name removed from his bio.

Moore was rather ticked off.

"At first I thought, 'Wow, somebody's thinking I live in the gayest town in West Virginia or something.' I was mad. ... It makes me feel like they hate gay people."

Still, such a silly little mistake should have been easy to fix, right? Moore contacted Xbox customer service to clear things up.

"I figured, I'll explain to them, 'Look in my account. Fort Gay is a real place,'" Moore reasoned. But the employee was unreceptive, warning Moore if he put Fort Gay back in his profile, Xbox Live would cancel his account and keep his $12 monthly membership fee, which he'd paid in advance for two years.

"I told him, Google it - 25514!" Moore said, offering up the town's ZIP code. "He said, 'I can't help you.'"

Moore was beside himself. Fort Gay mayor David Thompson tried to intervene on his behalf, only to be told that the town's name didn't matter, and the word "gay" was offensive in any context.

Of course this isn't the case. A change to Xbox Live policy earlier this year made it okay to express your sexuality in your profile or gamertag, after controversy arose over users being banned for identifying themselves as gay and lesbian.

It wasn't until the issue came to the attention of director of policy and enforcement for Xbox Live Stephen Toulouse that the situation was finally resolved.

"Someone took the phrase 'fort gay WV' and believed that the individual who had that was trying to offend, or trying to use it in a pejorative manner," Toulouse said. "Unfortunately, one of my people agreed with that. ... When it was brought to my attention, we did revoke the suspension."

Toulouse explained that complaints generally come to the enforcement group with no real context. Players report language the deem offensive, and it's up to the team members to determine if it's actionable.

"In this very, very specific case, a mistake was made," he said, "and we're going to make it right."

Toulouse says team member training has been updated to better address issues such as these, so residents of Intercourse, Pennsylvania, and Cumming, Georgia, can rest easy.

And who pays $12 a month for Xbox Live?

Make Your Own Papercraft Borderlands Psycho Bandit Mask Just in time for Halloween, Gearbox Software's Jeffrey "botman" Broome created this rather attractive papercraft Borderlands Psycho Bandit mask, and he's sharing the plans with everyone willing to take a moderate hit to their printer's ink cartridges.

It might not look all that scary on Jeffrey's head, but once you shave your head and wrap your naked arms in bloody bandages you'll be scaring children out of their candy all night long. Or you could just hang it on your wall and go without candy, but where's the fun in that?

To make the mask, you first need to grab yourself a copy of the free Peparkura Viewer (Windows only, sorry!), and then download Jeffrey's best laid plans. From there it's all up to you, though Jeff does include a few helpful instructions, like how you should cut eye holes if you want to see.

Or don't. That's just how psycho those Psycho Bandits are.

Pirates, Ninjas, And Homicidal Teddy Bears Pirates lay siege to the Island of Perfection in the upcoming Chapter 9 downloadable content for 505 Games' killer plushie simulator Naughty Bear. And so the circle is complete.

Naughty Bear's gameplay structure rubbed a few folks the wrong way, myself included. Killing and smashing your way through level after level wasn't as entertaining as I thought it would be, especially towards the end of missions when you're just running around looking for stuff to smash to pad your score.

Love it or hate it, it's still a great format for downloadable content, allowing developer Artificial Mind & Movement to release mission four packs for $4.99 a pop, which is exactly how much this month's pirate-themed DLC will cost when it's released later this month.

As pirates invade the island, Naughty and his "friends" will face two new factions of bears: The other bears, led by Admiral Giggles, and the pirate bears, captained by The Great Beard Bear.

His beard isn't that great, but it does look good on Naughty, who can dress up as the pirate or the admiral with new costumes unlocked in the DLC, topping it off with a sinister curved cutlass, perfect for separating your enemies from their innards.

Naughty Bear wasn't a particularly well received game, so it's nice to see a developer continuing to pump out new content for the hardcore fans.

In this video Rock Band 3 senior designer Sylvain Dubrofsky walks us through just how the keyboard play is going to work in Harmonix upcoming rhythm game.

The game always shows ten keys worth of music. That range stays the same on the keyboard in easy and medium, but begins to shift around in hard and expert, Dubrofsky said.

Harmonix CEO and co-founder, Alex Rigopulos says this is the next step in pushing his games closer to the reality of playing real music.

Rock Band 3 hits North America on Oct. 26 and the rest of the world three days later. It's coming to the PS3, Wii, Xbox 360 and DS.
