The closed SUCCUBUS gameplay tests are over and we have a new Teaser Trailer for you!

We would like to present a new teaser trailer for SUCCUBUS, which focuses on a new type of opponent. This dual-wielding warriors pose a big threat and use a tactical approach to combat. Amazons can deal significant damage with close-range attacks, and effectively avoid and block the player's attacks using their speed and agility.


We would also like to thank the hundreds of players who took part in our closed tests, providing us with valuable feedback. First of all, we are very happy to announce that the players liked the game even though it is an early version. Alpha testers positively assessed not only the balance of individual weapons, but also the combat system, level design and visual span. We are on track to create a game that meets the high expectations of our fans.

We invite you to participate in the closed testing of the game we are currently working on - Succubus!

The version of the game we would like to share with you contains a fragment of one of the levels which will be available in the full version. Still, many features have not yet been implemented (such as main hub, customization, dialogues, armor system etc), but right now we care primarily about your feedback regarding gameplay in the game. So we are going to give you the chance to try the game in advance and help us steer the development in the right direction.

Listening to your previous advice, we have added to the game a "censorship mode" that meets all the criteria of the most popular websites that allow you to record live-streams from the game.

You can enable or disable this mode at any time in the game options.

After finishing the alpha preview, we invite you to complete the survey, which will help us to understand better what we should pay the most attention at during the game's production. The survey won't be difficult, because we really need you to do it – so everyone, thanks in advance!

Alpha-version codes will start to be sent out this week, but the number of places is limited, so the order of applications decides who will get the code. There will be content updates in the future of this alpha, so we will send the keys in few parts -> gather your feedback and add some fixes -> send another codes etc.

Madmind Studio presents the Official Succubus Gameplay Reveal.

Succubus is a spin-off to Agony, and tells the story of a succubus named Vydija.

The following material has been recorded during the demo showcase at Poznań Game Arena 2019, but the version you are about to see is completely uncensored.



You are the Succubus – a wild and lustful demon who rejected the role of the queen of the infernal abyss. ­With the disappearance of the legitimate rulers of Hell, the remaining demons recognized Nimrod as their ruler, because he was the only soul who could dominate the mind of the mighty Beast. By raising his new empire from the corpses of sinners, the new king, along with his new queen – you – managed to control the chaos left by former rulers.



The life of luxury and walking on rugs sewn from the skins of martyrs was not for you though, and so you have chosen a life in the wilderness. By satisfying your appetites and original instincts, you inflict pain by hurting everyone and everything on your path. The moment you meet the powerful Baphomet who, together with his army, is going to get the soul of Nimrod, you are captured and maimed.

Betrayed by your own species you are left with only one goal that matters – revenge!

Madmind Studio is thrilled to present the newest teaser for SUCCUBUS, showing a new type of enemy. It is a spin-off to our first production - Agony, in which the main character became our beloved Succubus, named Vydija. Later this year, players will be able to watch and test the first gameplay from our new game!




Today, we published a free update to the Agony UNRATED available on Steam. After downloading the new content, players will be able to come across a new demon species - Cherub - in many places during the game. Although in SUCCUBUS he will act as the opponent, players can now take a closer look at this demon, finding him in the story mode of Agony UNRATED! At the same time, we would like to point out that we do not rule out enriching the content of our already released games with further free updates.




Cherub is a demon who, like the iconic Onoskelis, can wield fire. Using pyrokinesis, he tries to keep the right distance from the player to minimize the risk of direct contact, which usually ends fast and brutal.
Cherub is not a character who prefers an honorable duel, which is why he usually appears in numerous groups, trying to encircle his victim.


Cherub is a type of demon that was born of sin, while various species of infernal creatures began to interbreed with each other. The deformed body of this creature often moves in contradictory logic, giving the impression that each of the two demons joined together lives according to their own rules. His survival often depends on more powerful demons who live in correlation with him, benefiting from each other. When the characteristic scream of Onoskelis resounds in hell, it is the Cherub who is the first to arrive, helping in the fight and hoping for the possibility of eating warm corpses.


 

This type of demon usually attacks his victims when outnumbering them. He tries to circle the character and set it on fire with long-range fireballs. He often responds to the call of more powerful beings, arriving at the indicated place and supporting a larger demon in the fight. Only by killing the demon that summons Cherubs, you can stop the next ones from incoming.
Solo Cherub is an easy-to-kill character, so he tries to engage in combat only when the player is in a duel with stronger opponents.
 
 
- Start the elimination with a demon that summons Cherubs
- Always be on the move and use dodges to bypass ranged attacks quickly
- Use environmental traps to hurt many Cherubs at once
- Deflect attacks by pairing them at the right time
- Use magic and long-range attacks
- Use alternative weapon attacks and nail cherubs to walls and ceilings

While we are preparing to show the first gameplay from SUCCUBUS, we would love to share with you some interesting facts from the in-house mocap session.



We decided to invest in our own mocap recording equipment to be able to work on the quality of animation constantly and independently. That was a decision made after your feedback to our previous game. Now check out this couple photos from intense SUCCUBUS mocap session with Vydija and her poor victim!



The session contained many demanding scenes and required real commitment, so we had to use special protection to survive it! But finally, we were able to record everything we planned.



We are looking forward to showing you the effects of our work at SUCCUBUS! Liberated Vydija definitely doesn't like to play in subtlety...

Madmind Studio is thrilled to present you a new trailer for SUCCUBUS – a spin-off to the iconic and widely discussed Agony. This time, as the title of the game suggests, Succubus named Vydija – a lusty demon based on religious beliefs – becomes the main protagonist.

Along with the new trailer, we are launching a social media campaign in which players will be able to make direct contact with the main character of the game. Thanks to the phone that went straight into her cave, Vydija has a connection with our human world and is running her own account on Twitter, sharing additional bits of information from the game's world as well as her thoughts on various topics.

The main character of the game is Succubus Vydija. Wild and evoking the desire in her victims' demon, whose story started in the original – Agony and Agony UNRATED, where she received her own single-player campaign.

With the disappearance of the rightful rulers of hell, the remaining demons have chosen their new ruler – the only soul who could dominate the mind of the mighty Beast. Raising their new empire from the corpses of sinners helped the new king, Nimrod, and his queen Vydija, to control the chaos left by the former overlord.

However, the new, honorable title of the queen of hell proved not to be the best match with the savage nature of Succubus. She gave up the luxury of walking on carpets sewn from the skins of martyrs, choosing to live her life in the wild instead, finding her simple pleasures in hunting.

When satisfying her primal instincts, the new queen crosses her roads with the powerful Baphomet who, along with his army, is pursuing the soul of King Nimrod. Being humiliated and betrayed by her own species, the heroine regains her strengths with only one clear target – REVENGE!
