Hans, Sigurd, and Marianne are all heading to, as we say in Norweigan, the "big out-land" of LA and bringing DwarfHeim to Dreamhack. If you're at the event, run by our booth and we might have some cool limited swag for our lovely clan members!
During the whole event, servers will remain open for all of our beta testers, so if you haven't gotten around to trying out DwarfHeim, now's your chance.
Remember to sign-up, wishlist DwarfHeim and have fun testing the game.
The beta begins later TODAY at 20:00 CET / 11 AM PST and you can still grab a beta key if you join the Discord. The rest of the schedule is listed at the bottom of this post.
In addition, if you head over to https://twitch.tv/pineleafstudio an hour before the servers open you can join our dev Q&A in which we answer all your burning DwarfHeim related questions.
Some of the new features since last time are:
Revamped the Conquest map - Woah! Look at those graphics!
Completely new underworld - with lava!
Gates! - Protect your city! ("What about us miners?") Includes open/close/auto abilities. Yes, all team members can toggle these.
Wood Walls/Gates - The cheaper alternative.
Brewmaster - Finally a way to heal your darlings. (Are they op?)
New Forge visuals - Zoom in on that beauty!
More miner materials? - Are they even useful yet?? Nah, but they look cool!

Winter is here, snow is falling outside of our office and we're working hard to make DwarfHeim a better and more stable game. We've spent a lot of time since the last update working on stability, visual updates and. of course, adding more features.
New features
The demolition expert is finally in the game, blowing away buildings and creeps alike.
New map. Based on what we've seen from the Beta we have buildt the map up from the ground up, improving the visuals and tweaking it for better gameplay.
Troll waves. Troll waves now grow as game progresses, ending up with unending waves of Risi's attacking your town. Use it for your advantage to get an edge on your opponent.
The Alpha Thursar has arrived. A stronger, bigger Thursar that drops Iron on death will spawn on camps around the map and in waves that attack your city.
You can now click and drag rails!
And lots, lots of improvment to stability, pathfinding, balance, and audio. (Full patchlist on our discord)
We hope to see you all in the mines of Agartha!

We're happy to finally start testing up again after our short break, be ready for Tools of War on the 28th of September! We hope you're as hyped as us to get back into the fray with Tools of War, our first Beta patch.
As is tradition, we're starting things off with a short Q&A with our developers before we (hopefully) enjoy some matches of DwarfHeim together online.
How to join
To join the Beta crew, all you need to do is sign up using your email in the form below and pay attention to your email. All who signs up until the 28th are guaranteed to receive a key and we hope to see you in our Discord to help give us feedback.
Fog of War No longer can prying eyes see what you are doing. Use sentries, Towers and Torches to remove the fog and give your team the strategic advantage.
Minimap Be able to move through the map more easily, ping important locations and spot incoming enemies!
Unit abilities Jump into battle with a new set of unit abilities that increase the complexity of combat.
New units Skirmisher: Ready your shotguns, the skirmisher is coming to DwarfHeim. With an AoE cone attack as his basic attack, this unit can attack multiple units at once. Demolition Expert: What are walls to a dynamite cube? Nothing. The Demolition Expert is the unit with the most damage to any building in the game, pulling down buildings like they are nothing.
New buildings Build the Demolition Lab to create Miner units away from the Town Hall and Walls, Towers and Gates to defend your city from the enemy team and sneaky troll attacks.
And more . . ! Improvements to UI, pings, stability, communication and more.
Current Scheduled Tests
NB:Please remember that you will not be able to play outside of our testing times.
Current Roadmap
[Click on the header of this article to see roadmap in full size.]
As always, remember to wishlist DwarfHeim here on steam, join our Discord and follow us on your preferred social media. (and there are a lot of them. O_O)
The biggest news this week is that we've finally gotten a hold of a lot of Beta keys and will be sending them out to you soon, this means that all of you that have signed up through our Form (found on our Discord.gg/dwarfheim)
If you're really quick you'll able to join our testing this weekend, which starts at 20:00 (CEST). Hope to see you there!
Thank you guys for being so patient! Here in our smoldering hot office, we've been working day and night getting the Beta ready and we can't wait to play some rounds of DwarfHeim together with you.
Tomorrow at 17:00 (CEST) our servers will open for the very first time and if you've received a key in your email you'll be able to play the Conquest game mode for yourself. Be warned! We are still far from finished with DwarfHeim so a lot of features have yet to be implemented, and the game can be unstable, but we still hope you enjoy and have fun playing our little game. Pro-tip:a restart or the game usually solves most things.
Before that at 16:00 (CEST) we will be answering questions about DwarfHeim and our plans moving forward on Twitch and Discord: https://www.twitch.tv/pineleafstudio
Beta schedule
If you haven't received a key yet, you can still sign-up for future rounds in the sign-up form found in our discord!
As always, remember to join our Discord community if you are interested in a "behind the scenes" look at DwarfHeim and receive news before anyone else.
Aech (our CEO) finally gave in and gave us the date for Multiplayer BETA in DwarfHeim's very first Devlog!
We will be posting a new Devlog every other week with news, future plans and behind the scenes secrets directly from our offices in Trondheim
https://youtu.be/DkuftWVJXYU You can also check out our living roadmap below for features, units, and buildings that will be included in this BETA, and the future updates that we are planing before release. Everything in this roadmap is, of course, susceptible to changes.
Missing your BETA Key? This might be because you joined the team after we reached 1500 testers (holy frick). In the risk of blowing up the server, I've been told the first test will, sadly, have to be limited to under 2k.
That means that the next big wave of keys will have to wait until we've made sure the servers can handle over 2000 dwarves doing their best to destroy everything.
If you still want to be part of the first wave of Dwarven testers, we still have some keys that we will be dropping on our Discord until next week. So you can still join there, talk to the devs and you might be lucky and get a key from us personally.
In other news:
We're rapidly getting closer to our BETA and we can't wait to see you guys break the game over and over again. Hopefully in a fun way.
The first BETA round will contain 3 of the 4 classes: Warrior, Miner and Builder and the multiplayer mode Conquest. In this game mode the players must use their unique mechanics to, together, beat the opposing team.
You can hopefully expect to play your first online match of DwarfHeim in July.
Oh man, you guys are making us feel all fuzzy here at Pineleaf Studio with your wishlist and kind words.
In the months to come, we hope to finish some internal testing of the BETA, show you guys more of the game and also, allow you to join us for the DwarfHeim Beta this summer.
If you sign up now you will also get to play the very old buggy Miner prototype. (!)(!)(!)
You can join us on our community Discord below to see more behind the scenes stuff, talk to the developers and help us shape the game by giving some highly appreciated feedback.
