Welcome our new “Regrowth Update”! This update is the Phase 1 of our Early Access Roadmap. As of right now, you can download all new Lumberjack’s Dynasty features and enjoy new content at Pinegrove. And here is what you will get in this Regrowth Update:


Lumberjack’s Dynasty - Regrowth Update

QUESTS
  • New exciting quest line featuring additional characters and a twisting story plot.
MACHINERY
  • New machine: Tree Planter* for planting new trees.
  • New machine: Stump Grinder* for the removal of tree stumps.

    *Please note: both machines will be available when Uncle was paid off in chapter 3 and a quest was completed.

FUNCTIONALITY Tree Regrowth
  • You can now sow 4 different kinds of tree seedling with the Tree planter: Oak, Spruce, Birch and Pine.
  • Every Tree needs a certain space for planting it.
  • Tree seedlings can be bought at the lumber products market, there is an NPC named Eric standing there who will sell them to you, his stock gets refreshed every day.
  • This way, you can create your own forest areas


FUNCTIONALITY Gardening
  • New tools: Shovel, rake, watering can and seeds for gardening (all hand tools). These are in the OTHER section in inventory.
  • Gardening: Use shovel, then rake, then seeds. Mind if the soil is wet enough, or the flowers will wither.
  • Added 4 different flowers, all with proper growth phases (and withered): cosmos, larkspur, marigold and sunflower.
  • Added seeds for flowers as an item, along with grown flowers to pick up.
  • Several salesmen now sell gardening tools while some other salesmen sell seeds.
  • FYI: As the game progresses flowers can be given to women to increase sympathy - except for sunflowers which are more expensive and meant for sale.
  • Added proper fpp tools, animations and fxs for gardening.
  • Added proper soil textures for gardening.
  • Only grassy terrains can be turned into garden
  • Beehives nearby help flowers grow better.
  • Flowers can be sold too.
  • Engineers Sight shows status for flowers and their soil humidity. Also, soil is more dark/wet when watered.
  • Watering-can can water more than just one garden tile - moving camera around while the water pours waters wherever you look (just not too fast, or the soil will not get enough water).
  • Pretty flowers (full blossom) give some social points daily - neighbours appreciate players style.

After receiving a big response from you in our Lumberjack’s Dynasty Early Access Survey from a few weeks ago and by reading your feedback on Discord, social media channels, and Steam we now have a better idea of what you want to see more in our game. Based on your feedback, we can show you the Lumberjack’s Dynasty Early Access Roadmap.



In these future updates, you will find more gameplay mechanics, new questlines, more equipment and machines (Ponsse!), more items to make, sell, and trade, more content in general, and of course, bug fixes. We want Lumberjack’s Dynasty to be bigger and better with each update, and we want your feedback to help make that happen.

Once again, and it goes without saying, thank you for your feedback so far. Also, let us know in the comment section below about your thoughts on these upcoming updates and Roadmap in general. We are not stopping for a moment! Today we have added additional languages to the game. From now on, you will be able to play Lumberjack’s Dynasty in:

  • French,
  • Spanish
  • Italian
  • Turkish
  • Russian
  • Simplified Chinese
  • Traditional Chinese

Note: Voice overs are currently only available in English and the future quests (dialogues and VO) will also be in English first, additional languages will follow later on.

Hello Lumberjacks and Lumberjills,

We have some good news for you all - we have a new content update for you today. We called it the Herbalism and Cooking Update. In it, you will find new vegetables that you can grow, 8 different kinds of herbs that can be used to produce shampoo, lotions, and various potions. You will also find four new cooking recipe books (egg-based, fish-based, honey-based, and mushroom-based), which if you read them, it will give you new cooking skills.

Apart from this new content, we have also fixed and patched up a few things too. If you want to know the details about this new Lumberjack’s Dynasty update, then look below and find out all the details.

Bug-Fixes and Content Update to v0.43e
  • Fixed several issues with new bushes (pine bushes) – calculation was done into 2D.
  • Update 0.43c introduced bugs of partially multiplying building parts, this should be fixed now.
  • Added 4 more greenhouse vegetables: paprika, chili, cucumber, melon.
  • Greenhouse seedlings have icons as per inventory icons
  • Pantry is full of stuff now.
  • Pantry storage/inventory operational
  • Apple trees could have been cut as bushes - fixed.
  • Button farm statistics was checking if player has 200 euro to activate - fixed.
  • Herbs and strawberries lit in ES (Engineer Sight) are displayed with proper animated transparency.
  • Prices of milk and eggs lowered in the stores - since player cannot create these (yet), these should be cheap to buy.
  • Added 8 different herbs.
  • Two herbs are addons to elixirs and lotions.
  • One herb is needed to create a shampoo, 1 herb to create a lotion. These are not consumable, for sale only.
  • One common herb creates a strength potion - while it lasts player does not get too tired (down to 60% max, can run with logs)
  • One common herb creates a worker potion - while it lasts chainsaw works faster and repair/rebuild works faster.
  • One rare herb creates a see-at-night potion
  • One rare herb creates a potion that removes tiredness and hunger completely while it lasts
  • All potions and elixirs require honey and two herbs to create - one main herb and one addon herb.
  • Potions when drunk and effects lasting are seen on-screen as bottle icons with time bars
  • Potions effects overlap (different potions can be drunk at the same time), but do not accumulate (so drinking the same potion twice does not create 2x stronger/longer effect)
  • Sun potion sets players food and stamina at max while it lasts
  • Mountain potion decreases player hunger and sleep speed. Also hunger and sleep will not drop below 60%. Also, player can run with logs.
  • Fox potion speeds up construction work and cutting trees
  • Owl potion improves light perception at night. Does not affect day to not overdo the effect.
  • The kitchen is now active.
  • Kitchen menu divided into 4 categories: basic food (canned), recipes from cookbooks (dishes), special recipes and herbs.
  • First 3 kitchen categories depend directly on the progressive Cook skills. Last depends on ‘One With Nature’ skill (gathering herbs).
  • First cook skill is given to all players (to cook better foods right away).
  • Second cook skill is unlocked when reading any cookbook.
  • There are 4 cookbooks: egg based, fish based, honey based, and mushroom based.
  • Cookbooks can be bought at sellers', but not all sellers.
  • Third cook skill and unique local recipes will come in scenario quests for chapter 3.

Bug Fix v0.43d
  • Update 0.43c introduced a bug making steering log platforms exceedingly difficult (camera got too loose while fixing unwanted jumping). Has been fixed.

Bug Fixes v0.43c
  • Fixed wrong calculation of new types of bushes in some farm cleaning quests.
  • Properly visible boundaries of the area to clean up.
  • Farm/house cleaning quests may have been impossible to finish due to some grass being hidden below buildings, terraces or other inaccessible places. Should be ok now, game cuts grass below buildings itself. Save compatible, so saves with unfinished quests should have this quest working now too.
  • Sale prices for woodchips and bark reduced by 20%.
  • Calculating objects visibility might have been desynchronized, which was visible for near objects and with quick mouse movements. Some objects were appearing a few frames after they should. Fixed.
  • Fixed rotations of fishing NPC - they were sometimes fishing back to the water.
  • Improvements to external driving camera code. It was jumping when driving/turning smaller vehicles - fixed.
  • Improved carried sheep texture.
  • Some water/bushes/trees fixes in the world.
  • Some objects fixed (Z-fighting).

  • Improved physics & barrier shape of the mill water ramp (log dump).
  • NPCs can talk to themselves (2 different random dialogs)
  • Proper different NPC voices assigned correctly to models for their and hero dialogs outside of quests
  • Fixed repair and rebuild paths for bitumen roof
  • NPCs properly reply if they cannot talk right now (busy, walking with "strong" purpose etc.).
  • Fixed old bug with player sometimes standing up in the air during dialog with NPC. (most likely - need testing as it was rare).
  • Added initial (basic) dialogs for NPCs. More to come.
  • Some NPCs in the world can trade
  • Added 4 new daily quests: find a missing sheep, courier, fix a building, clean a farm.
  • Daily quests are offered after player passes to chapter 2 (new set every morning).
  • Find a missing sheep is obvious. Gives little money (50-70), but significant Social Points (500-700) and some greenhouse seeds.
  • Courier is against time. Prize decreases after half of initial time is exceeded and this quest will be failed if time exceeded. Buggy might be handy here.
  • Courier quest fails if player uses public transportation OR switches vehicles from the map. Just drive!ːsteamhappyː
  • Courier quest properly displays time left and current prize. It must be selected though - if other quest is selected these stats are not displayed (only stats for selected quests are displayed) but quest will still be failed if too late or teleporting.
  • Fix a building now pays off.
  • Clean a farm quest requires mowing all grass and cutting out all the bushes (NOT TREES!) in each range.
  • Range for farm cleaning quest is displayed in 3D in ES when this quest is active (selected).
  • Manual mower is available to buy at Jack's and Jordan's
  • Grass, ferns etc are mandatory to mow for farm cleaning quests - flowers are not. However, there is no penalty for mowing flowers either, this appeared to be annoying.
  • There is a margin left when calculating grasses to cut. Some may be hardly accessible, below boards or behind stones. Not all the visible grass must be cut down and it is ok.
  • when carrying a found sheep, other animals were still casting false echoes in ES. Removed.
  • NPC quest givers don't just mutter their thanks; they say it properly in a hero dialog with external camera.
  • Fixed bug of wrongly loading quest titles.
  • Dialogs do fade ins when camera changes. If it shows the same character, there is no fade in.
  • Map: added two missing bridges that exist in the world (west border and north/middle).
  • Fixed internal bugs of NPC management and hierarchy that were not allowing to properly load custom quests and synchronize them with proper NPC.
  • Removed nasty internal bug of repeated the same meshes in some neighbour houses, making many neighbour fixes exceedingly difficult.
  • Adjusted repair sockets & pulled more out of the walls into camera. Should be easier to repair/rebuild hardly accessible places.
  • NPCs lost their "prince" status while working. They can be interrupted and talked to. The only exception is when they are fishing or walking with a "strong" purpose.
  • Fixed exploit of selling palettes in the building store for more money than in the market. Building store buys material sources much cheaper than it sells them.
  • Removed weird annoying messages on the map when manipulating/clicking player forests
  • Removed annoying bug that dragging map with mouse and accidently dragging over vehicle was entering the vehicle. You must click the vehicle directly to enter, dragging does not.
  • The same fix for bus stops.
  • Dragging map with mouse cursor is better coordinated with actual cursor - was too fast.
  • Improved driving animations for the buggy.
  • Improved buggy textures.
  • Improvements to men’s hairstyle.
  • The sawmill conveyor belts should be running now.

  • Added a supposed solution for more strict choice of a better video adapter in multi-GPU systems. (Informal note – while some other solutions exist (check out the forum sticky): this is a Beta solution – it needs testing and feedback).
  • There was a rare bug of sometimes different objects pulled to the lorry platform. This should be fixed.
  • Putting palettes on log trailers is forbidden and should not happen anymore. This trailer is not supposed to carry palettes - this causes physical errors.
  • Also, forklift should not leave palettes on non-palette trailers / vehicles anymore.
  • Lowered vehicle sale price. It was possible to buy vehicle using Social Points and 50% cash and then sell right away it for more money.
  • Added icon/description for the "For Sale" signs.
  • Once in chapter 3, player can remove For Sale signs manually. The farm and mill belong to him now. Each sign removal is awarded 1000 social points.
  • When carrying sheep at night/rain, quest givers were asleep, and player was stuck. Fixed.
  • Metal roof has proper line sockets to the crane.
  • Debarked logs put into wood mill 2nd time do not generate bark anymore.
  • Concrete platform below bark and chips fill are lower and flatter. Much easier to drive over.
  • Issues with repairable doors desync physics should be fixed (both during repairs and after loading game)
